Northern Neck Insurance Company Filed a claim in july 2021 for a theft from our garage

I have had homeowners insurance with NORTHERN NECK for over 15 years. I currently have 3 properties insured with them. I have had 1 other claim in those years for a rock thrown into a neighbors car while mowing. In July we were still in process of moving from 1 property to another when someone broke into our garage in Raphine and stole items. I discovered this when checking in on things. It was a couple days before my husband that is disabled could return to the garage to verify what was missing. I reported the theft to the police at the time I noticed the break in. I notified the insurance company and let the police know of additional items missing. Since then things have not gone well. I was contacted by C. my claim adjuster. I told her the details, name of officer and his #. Several days later I received a text with forms that I needed to complete. I did so. A couple days later I text to see how things were going was told she did not receive my info. She sent a new link, I filled it out again answered more questions. After no response in about a week I reached out to my agent at Valley Trust. She sent me a new email address for C. and ask me to copy her in on it. I did. I have not heard from anyone since then. They don't even let you know they received the info. Today I went by agent office to see if they could check on this claim. When I gave them the Claim # I was given it was to another person's claim. After some checking they got my REAL CLAIM #98804. Now there blaming the Police officer for not getting back with them. If he had as much trouble getting through to them as I do I can see why. I am sure the officer has a lot to deal with more urgent than my claim. Told me they did not know when this claim would be settled. I know the world is busy and this Company is big.
We are 60 years old have worked hard and struggled to get what we have. We should not have to go through so much to get this settled. Some of the tools that my husband has had for many years so no I don't have the receipts, or pictures. Some of the items were new but not bought recently as they were for a truck my husband was slowly restoring. After returning home from the trip to the Agent's office I GET A TEXT FROM THE CLAIM'S PERSON. They want me to sign giving them permission to turn my personal life inside out. They want to look into my credit, bank accounts, DMV records, criminal record (We have none), loans, mortgages, and even come to my home to look around, etc. WHO IS THE CRIMINAL HERE? I feel like it's us. I told the Agent today if I had multiple claims of theft or was claiming a unbelievable amount of $ I could understand. All totaled we're talking about about $2000.00. Which is a lot of money to us. To a company like Northern Neck this is a drop in a bucket. I admit I am not good with the computer files she has sent as far as opening them and sending them back but They show they were sent. I did request paper forms from C. and my agent. I have not decided if it is worth letting someone snoop through my life to finish this claim. I have nothing to hide, it is the principle. So I guess we'll see what happens, if the items stolen are not covered I will not feel my items are protected by this company in the future. But don't worry Northern Neck as each of these Policies come up for renewal I will find a new Insurance Provider.

Desired outcome: I just want the items to be covered, even a partial payment would be something.

T. sent me a claim check for property damage $4600.00. He included the mortgage companies on it. I pay for my insurance on an individual basis. It's not escrowed into my mortgage payments. I tried to explain to him that I wouldn't be able to cash out the check because the second mortgage is in litigation process. If I tried to go to them then the entire monies would be kept by the mortgage company and I wouldn't get my house fixed. I believe that he did this because I had reported to him about the adjuster - Ryan making inappropriate/unprofessional comments while visiting my home. I'm looking for customer service ASAP and for a check in my name so I can take care of business.

Northern Neck Insurance Company medical pay coverage / 3833009

On 1/28/16 I was in a car accident and was hurt the other driver admitted he was wrong and I have medical bills that my insurance company for the last 20years refuse to pay and I have MED PAY also B. is the worst agent to deal with she still refuses to pay so I can pay my med bills even after submitting everything she ask for, my lawyer been trying to contact her and she won't even return his phone calls, its been a year now so if anyone is looking for a insurance company stay away. lexus man

Northern Neck Insurance Company I truly think its unfair

My name is John Johnson I am 81 years old. I been paying Northern Neck Insurance Company through Lee Curtis for 30 some years.Each year the insurance continue to increase. I paid it faithfully each year. I filed a claim around 2003 when the hurricane hit my house. They came out and surveyed the house and paid. I paid my bill around April or May for the year. In Oct, I put in a claim for the repair the roof after a heavy rain the roof started to leak.

Northern Neck Insurance Company wrote to me with a termination of coverage saying the property had a lack of upkeep and maintenance. The problem is as long as I was paying the money they accept it. When I made a claim they cancel me.

I truly think its unfair to pay money to insurance every year and never make a claim and when you do they cancel you.

Your insurance was going up each year because they were increasing your coverage. That is standard for most companies. You filed two claims, and it sounds like they cancelled you after they came out and inspected your house for the claims. Could it be that they cancelled you because of exactly what they said, "lack of upkeep and maintenance." I'm not trying to insult you, but companies don't cancel becuase you filed two claims in a 8 year span.
