This unit was installed, operated for a period of time - about two years - without incident. At the time of scheduled service an Error Code developed combined with the unit shutting itself off. The unit has not been operational for more than eleven months. The service technician has done his very best at least four times - new parts, cleaning, cussing. Nothing helped.

The technician swapped out parts (the second control board) then left thinking it was fixed. A half hour or fourtyfive minutes later error code E-9 reappeared, the unit shut down, the technician hasn't resurfaced - and I can understand why.
Recommendation: replacing HVAC -- be CERTAIN a unit with Parts AND SERVICE Warranty or you will go broke fixing the dad blamed Rheem / Nordyne
