We purchased a BRAND NEW MANUFACTURED HOME SEPT 2023. From day one the HVAC system did not work. I emailed Nortek with my our issues with our BRAND NEW UNIT...they referred me to the installer of the unit...the installer of our unit has moved to another State and is in the process of changing his phone number because he wants nothing to do with Nortek HVAC systems and he was sorry he couldn't help us...so I email Nortek back and they refer me to the distributor and give me a couple of names that have 'signed up' to be techs on their units..mind you as far as we know our unit was defective the day it was built by Nortek...nobody else has heard the unit run except us,the new homeowners and it hasn't worked right since I turned it in one month ago...heres where Nortek screws their customers...they don't have a worldwide network of repairmen like their subsidiary companies do...they wipe their hands clean of their responsibility to their product and customers as soon as their product leaves their manufacturing site...no responsibility for damage during shipping,or by the distributors or installers of their equipment AND if the original installer of the unit is no longer willing to or able to work on Norteks HVAC units the homeowner is screwed,left to find a non existing repairman and if you can find a tech the homeowner is responsible for all costs except the failed part...I didn't build the unit,I didn't give the unit to their distributors and I didn't install their unit but some how I'm responsible for paying for the unit that nobody can prove to me ever worked...I've seen some of the responses from Nortek on this site,apologizing and asking for serial numbers so they could investigate...and then this site says Nortek has solved 8 complaints to the satisfaction of the consumer...why can't they do that when you call them directly..why does a company that claims to care have to go to these lengths...I been complaining to their customer service about this issue for a month now and all I've been told is 'tough luck'...the BBB has them listed as a one star company as well as EVERY review site on the face of the planet...my next complaint goes to the Attorney General.They offer a 10 yr extended warranty that actually cost the homeowners more money than the HVAC system was ever worth...they brag about their extended warranty as a way to prove their systems yet that exact 10 yr extended warranty is toilet paper if the original installer no longer exists...they have got down the way to keep making money by lying & screwing over the actual people that use their equipment.Ill gladly give you.ALL of my serial numbers so you can investigate & then treat me like I'm stupid just like your customer service people did...keep your apology I don't believe one word of it...BTW...this is not the first time Nortek has had some legal issues with their HVAC units...the Dept of Energy got almost $60,000 from them just recently...I strongly advise anyone that has ever had any issues with Nortek to contact their local Attorney General to file a complaint...this site gives them 100% whatever because Nortek Global took care of 8 complaints...that doesn't even touch the 1000's of negative complaints about this company nationwide.

Desired outcome: I want my AC to blow cool air out of all my vents & I want my heater to blow hot air out of the same vents...brand new vents & brand new unit thar was just installed 3 months ago
