I had previously sailed with three different cruise lines and had great holidays and assumed MSC would be as good. Big mistake. We were so disappointed with the variety, quality and quantity of food on board. Buffet was a free for all. Very few people queued, they generally barged in. Food choice was limited and by the time we found a space to sit and eat it, it was cold. Only two restaurants, which served the same menu. Other two restaurants, you had to pay. It was hard to find something edible. So disappointing.
With nearly four and a half thousand passengers, it was difficult to find somewhere quiet and relaxing to sit.
Ship seemed to be full of noisy passengers, which didn't help.
On the positive side, our cabin attendant was attentive and our cabin always clean. The theatre shows were impressive. Trips ashore were good.
Recommendation: The cruise was reasonably priced at £1,400 each for one week, with a balcony. Pay a bit more with another cruise line so you are not disappointed. I have complained to MSC but after reading other peoples reviews, I am very doubtful of a reply from them.
