Good evening. We embarked in Durban on 27th March 2026, MSC Opera. My son lost a camera bag (with the following contents in it: Nikon camera, camera charger lens, Sony video camera) in the lift going to cabin 7070 and this was reported to the customer service, where a complaint form was filled in and they promised to assist us. I had to go the next day and days after to find out if they found anything, but nothing was found. My complaint is that no one seemed to want to assist in finding the lost items Do the lifts or corridors of the cabins have cameras. How do you ensure people get their lost items back.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a satisfactory response

My kids and I were disappointed with embarkation process on MSC opera, on the 27th of March 2026 from Durban. There was no one to guide us to our cabins, the guy who was assisting us at the entrance was rude and did not give us proper directions to our cabins 7070 and 7470. We relied on other guests. We ended up forgetting and losing my son's camera bag ( with the following contents in it a Nikon camera, camera charger, lens and Sony video camera all contents are worth R30 000, 00) in the lift because of the confusion. The matter was reported to customer service, but their assistance was also disappointing.
If anyone has picked up my son's camera bag, we will appreciate if you can please return it to MSC South Africa either Durban, Cape town , Johannesburg Head office. It has our lifetime memmories, please!
