I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the customer service and pricing policy of MSC Cruises.
Approximately three months ago, I made a reservation with MSC Cruises under booking number 71097293, paying a total of €100 (€50 per person) to secure the reservation.
Recently, I have found that the same cruise is now offered at a lower price. In good faith, I contacted MSC Cruises to request a price adjustment or modification of my reservation to reflect the current market price.
However, I was informed that the only option available is to cancel the existing booking and create a new one under the new reservation number 7260094, which would result in losing the €100 already paid.
I find this policy unfair and inflexible for the following reasons:
This is not a cancellation request, but a reasonable request to adjust the booking to current pricing.
Customers who book early should not be penalized compared to those who book later at lower prices.
The company has refused to offer any solution or alternative, such as price matching or credit.
This situation reflects a lack of customer-oriented service and damages trust in the brand.
Given these circumstances, I respectfully request a fair resolution. If a direct refund of the €100 cancellation cost is not possible, I ask MSC Cruises to consider offering:
Onboard credit
A cabin upgrade
A partial refund
Or any equivalent compensation
I believe this would be a reasonable and customer-friendly solution to a situation that is not caused by the customer, but by the company’s pricing policy.
If no satisfactory response is received, I will consider escalating this matter through official consumer protection channels and additional public platforms.
I hope MSC Cruises will reconsider its position and provide a fair resolution.
Customer:
RSG. Thank you.
