Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity Return/exchange of items

Recent postpartum mother here, I ordered two different sizes bras as I wasn't sure which one would fit me (MH1058749). Being with a newborn at home (and two other toddlers), I didn't realize that all of the stores around me had closed until I went to a couple of the locations around me, and saw the stores were gone. Then looked to return & exchange the bras that were small however I was now pass the 30 days mark with 10 days. I called customer care and the person kept repeating about the policy. I wasn't asking for credit. I have two brand new with the tags small bras that I want to exchange for the bigger size. The representative kept repeating about the policy. I've shopped in the motherhood stores previously... this is my third child. I have never had poor experience until now. In fact, all my experiences for the past 8 years had been great until today. I am beyond disappointed. I'm stuck with two brand new bras, that I paid good money for, and the staple of maternity clothes store "Motherhood" just turned the other way. Never again. I'm also in enough mommy groups to spread the unpleasant experience and detract all my previous praise.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity Premium Shipping fee

I recently made a purchase on 1/18/22 order #MH1081745. I paid an extra $25 for the 2 day shipping. I have yet to receive my items. I just got a message that a partial shipment was just sent today on 1/21 with no delivery date. Also, customer service supervisor was rude and talked over me. I was on hold for almost an hour. Someone needs to call me .

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity Ordered on 9/13/21 no tracking number, customer service has no answers

Ordered on 9/13. No tracking number, when requested on 9/20 they said I would receive it ASAP. Still no tracking number. Had to call twice, I get the same answer "we have requested our support team for assistance in getting you a tracking number". Three more days go by, no answers, no tracking number, no product. I asked for a refund and the answer was "what if we sent it and FedEx didn't sent us the tracking information and you get the package". It's 9/23 Ground shipping is 5 to 7 days. Pretty sure its not coming. They have no problem taking your money, but when you want it back because you haven't received what you purchased. . .this is a problem. This seems to be a large corporation and 10 days out from ordering without a tracking number and no one knows why and keeping telling me give it a few more days. This is ridiculous.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity Refund

I try to process my return online since that's the only way they accept them now and I'm past my 30 days. I call customer service and they mention the same. I explain how ridiculous it is that I can't even get store credit for a product that's brand new and ask to speak to the supervisor. Talking to her enrages me more because she's repeating the same thing over and over again with no alternative. When they had there store we can at least get store credit with receipt when past the 30 days. I ask to talk to her superior and she says no. And that's what's mind blowing that I can't even talk to an area manager or district manager. So they offer no solution your stuck with the product even though it doesn't fit you (even though from the refund they will deduct a $9.95 fee for the return delivery). Will never shop with motherhood again. When they had there store I bought everything and now with my second pregnancy this nonsense never again.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity service

I ordered twice within the last few weeks. I received an email for both orders that the orders have arrived at the store. Unfortunately, when my family member showed up to pick the items up the manager indicated that the items were probably still in the delivery truck even though the items showed they arrived and were scanned in. My family member went again a few days later and same story. Then upon inquiring to motherhood maternity corporate customer service via email about my items - they ended up refunding my order because i'm sure they contacted the manager but didn't bother to call me to let me know (I guess they don't care that i'm having a baby and need nursing gowns)! Um I wasn't asking for a refund - i'm giving birth soon I just wanted to know where my items were. I again called their corporate office and they contacted the manager but were given no concrete information as to what happened but are working with me on a solution to this. So moral of story please inform motherhood maternity corporate office so if there is a pattern of this at this store something needs to improve in the way this store handles their incoming shipments - because the items were obviously checked in and it's not fair to nursing mothers that this should occur it's careless for our future babies 1-800-466-6223.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity product

I drove 45 mins to the closest store to purchase a maternity support belt. I didnt think to open the box to check the contents. Instead I asked the clerk for assistance with the size. Upon arriving home 45 mins later, I decide to use the belt. As soon as I opened it, I could see stains. The fabric was shredded. There was hair on it. It was clearly a returned item. I was disgusted. Taking a closer look I could see that the box was retaped with medical tape! I called the store and got an apology. Was told my only option would be to drive all the way back to return it. I'm furious. I went out of my way to get this product. For the prices they charge, there is no reason why this returned product was back on the floor.

I'm currently a worker for the La Palmera store. Today I put in my resignation and the manager, Yvette, refused to accept my letter. I'm don't want this to reflect badly on me for future job offers so I am asking this situation to be fixed. I will not be returning to the store and will fax a letter that she refused to take when I hear back. Thank you for your time.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity pants

good morning,

I've purchased 6 pair of pants (in-store location Sudbury Ontario) I've worn them all once and a few hours after wear I'm very disappointed. I am constantly pulling them up which is very frustrating as this has to be done almost every other step...

I hope to hear back from you as I still have a few month of being pregnant and I'm hate the pants I've gotten.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity hiring manager

I tried to apply to the store in the Columbia mall and was turned away because I'm 6 months pregnant and the lady working there (Gretchen) said there's no point in letting me work there just to go on maternity leave in a few months. And that she specifically doesn't hire women over 7 months pregnant. It's illegal to not hire someone because they're pregnant. I would like corporate to contact me.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity schaumburg, il store - bad behavior/incorrectly charged & request refund

Date 9/17/18 of incident. I purchased 2 different items this past weekend in 2 different states. When I asked what the exchange policy was because I was using a coupon I was told that if I had an exchange the coupon value wouldn't be lost and I simply needed to pay the difference between the 2 ticket items purchase prices. When I went to exchange one of the items bought at the Schaumburg, IL store she told me that she wouldn't keep my coupon value and I needed to pay more for the shirt when the item I was exchanging's ticket price was $19.97 and I was exchanging the shirt for an item that was priced $14.97. I was expecting to be refunded $5 instead she charged me $7.98. I explained what I was told at 2 different stores and she said nope. I told her I was going to contact Corporate and request my money back and complain and she didn't care. She instead gave me attitude and said "do you want the shirt or not". I am very disappointed with the Schaumburg store and would like a refund.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity quality complaint

Hi,

I purchased a pair of Motherhood maternity brand dress pants a few months ago from one of your outlet locations. I love the style and fit of the pants but don't wear them very often because they don't have back pockets which is inconvenient for me at work. Although they've only been worn a few times, it appears that the elastic fibers on every single seam, top to bottom, have started poking through the fabric like little hairs. The inside seams, outside seams, and worst of all the seams down the butt and back of the legs. It looks terrible! Being that these weren't inexpensive pants, I was extremely disappointed with the quality. In comparison; I have 2 pair of Target maternity pants that I purchased months earlier and wear each pair twice a week every week. They've held up beautifully and were half the price. I normally don't do this but felt compelled to reach out because I was so disappointed. I have several tops, pajama sets, dresses and pairs of jeans from motherhood maternity and never had such a terrible quality issue. My receipt and tags are obviously long gone so I haven't discussed this at any store locations. I was wondering if there is anything you can do?

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity customer service

Very rude obnoxious customer service. I live in Brooklyn and went to the brooklyn store to return some items bought from that store. One of them didn't have a tag and the sales person kept insisting that it was not on the receipt, she didn't even bother to check. She lifted her finger motioning me to stop speaking! I had been polite and only requested it to cross check it on the receipt.
Another sales person came in to help, and of course that item was on the receipt as well, if only the first person had bothered to look. No one apologized and and I am afraid to say that this is not the only bad experience I have had in the store. But the level of rudeness and curt behavior was totally unacceptable!
I feel the sales people in your stores should even be more sensitive and and surely not obnoxious as not only would that be common courtesy in customer service but a company who deals with pregnant people day in and out should even be more careful with their customer service and attitudes towards customers.
I felt horrible after this experience and had decided I just won't shop with you anymore and just get everything from amazon or other places. But then I felt it might be worthwhile giving some feedback about this absolutely horrible behavior by sales people in your stores.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity lack of help from employees

I went to the Crossiron Mills location in Calgary, AB Canada. I live approximately half an hour away - this is the closest location with a variety of clothing.
I went with the expectation of purchasing denim shorts, however I couldn't find my size. I asked if they had other sizes in the back and both employees said no, however one admitted to me that they had boxes of inventory in the back but would not open them. They said that it is too difficult To go through everything as the boxes weren't labelled. I would have understood if the store was busy, however both employees stood at the cashier desk talking g amongst one another for at least 10-15 minutes! When I asked again about looking for a different size in the shorts, they again refused and gave me the option of either coming back next week or ordering online. I told them the travelling distance I made, and said I didn't want to pay the shipping cost for shorts that I didn't know which size I was. Both staff were not helpful whatsoever with any of my questions. I left feeling quite frustrated. I hope this lack of courtesy does not go unnoticed.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity indigo blue jeans

I bought a pair of jeans from the Motherhood Maternity store name brand: Indigo Blue. I wore the jeans once, washed them once, and the top where the elastic band is, is totally disgustingly ripped, damaged, and unable to be worn. I followed the directions for washing and for $45, I would expect better quality. Below I have attached pictures. I would like to request a new pair of jeans, size medium, or a refund.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity return

I'm very upset with this store right now. I went in to get store credit for a gift that was bought for me and the credit was put back on my inlaws card when I specifically told the cashier that I wanted store credit. I got little more than an 'I'm sorry, we can't fix it.' I will NOT be shopping here again after this experience. I felt like they didn't try to make anything right or fix the problem to make up for it. Very disappointed.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity dress return

Purchased 12/21, returned with receipt and tags next morning due to not fitting friend. Clerk scanned receipt by their "system" couldn't find it. Clerk was on the phone with corporate for 30 minutes. They couldn't figure out how to refund my money. Unexplainable, unbelievably poor customer service. No reason.

The corporate office hung up on the clerk twice. I could hear some of what they were saying and it sounded like they were systematically trying to make returns nearly impossible. Suspect they have a cash flow problem and predict a Chapter 11 in their future.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity district managers/company

This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for! My manager left and I was only a part time sales associate at the time and they asked if I could handle working as "Active Store Manager." I took the job and worked literally from the bottom and made the stores numbers go up not only store wise but in Parents magazines percentage wise As well. We went from being at 16% before I started to being at 54% in just 2 weeks! I got the store nice and organized and of course the district manager wasn't any help. Never answered his phone, always kept bringing in different store managers from other cities to help me and only came down once while I was working as store manager! Everyone was telling me multiple things and I didn't know who to listen to. I was working as an "Active store manager" for 4 months and was being told they would move my pay date up and then I get a call from my district manager on a Sunday afternoon and he's telling me they decided to go a different route on a store manager and that him, the "new store manager" and another store manager from a different store would a be coming in the next day which was a monday and I was shocked! I was really upset because 1.)he didn't tell me anything until the day before 2.)everything was already in place and I was told about it just the day before 3.)those hours I did got completely cut and then he had the nerve to ignore all my calls and texts when I confronted him about it! Then the other store manager from another store "told" me to train the new manager.. They did me so wrong and I really them to pay for their actions. HR has been notified and I hope they all get what they deserve ! District 84!

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity Terrible customer service

Do not order from this company. There are so many other cuter maternity clothing stores that have their ducks in a row and who care about their customers and remaining in business, unlike Motherhood Maternity. I had the worst experience I've ever had with a customer service rep from Motherhood today, and the worst ever experience with a company that I've ever had in the last week. It all started with a simple swimsuit order. I receive someone else's order from across the U.S. a week later. I call in and tell them, they say they know already because the other person called already to let them know she received my order. No one bothered to let me know. I received no apology - the rep just babbled on about how she sent me a free shipping label to return the item that wasn't mine (obviously), and that I need to send it back within this time frame or I'll be charged for the item. Huh? This is your mistake and you're threatening me with charges if I don't hurry up and get it back to you, when I've never even received my item yet. She tells me I need to order my item again, doesn't offer to process it for me due to their mistake. Nothing. Fails to send me the free shipping label. Fails to process my refund. I call back three days later and wait on hold for 30 minutes. Still no swimsuit. I tell another rep what's going on and that I really prefer not to have to continue to have this on my plate since again, not my mistake in the first place. She says she can send someone to pick it up from ups. Great, sounds good. She tells me to be available the following day (at home) so they can come get it. I remain available... they never show. I call back and let them know about the no-show and that I still haven't received my expedited shipped swimsuit as I was promised, and my refund still hasn't been processed. No apology, she says she will process the refund, which still hasn't showed up on my account. I tell her this has been a hassle, and I'm about to keep the item that was sent to me by mistake due to the trouble. She says I will be charged if I do that. I ask how I'm supposed to return it without a label and if I can talk to a supervisor. She transfers me to the rudest woman I've ever talked to. Caroline. Caroline states that a shipping label has already been sent to me and that I need to go to ups to return it. No shipping label was sent to me. I tell her that if they can't figure out how to send me a label or have someone come get it, and since this is their fault in the first place, out of pure frustration, I am about to keep the item I don't even want. She tells me I will be charged. I ask her what Motherhood does to rectify situations gone wrong which they are responsible for. She says nothing. I tell her this has been a lot of BS and I have still never been apologized to. She tells me to watch my mouth and that I can't talk to her like that. I asked for her name and remind her that maybe this is why Motherhood has such terrible reviews. I remind her how other companies work, and how I've never been treated this way and never had another problem, and that I will never order from Motherhood again based on my experience. She says she doesn't care. I ask her if she gets paid based on customer reviews of how she helped them. She says nope. I say I can tell. So currently, I have no swimsuit, and have paid for 2 of them. I'm about to get charged for ANOTHER item I never ordered due to Motherhood's mistake. I never received a free shipping label so I'm expected to pay for shipping on an item that isn't mine. I was treated poorly, and have wasted my morning on this horrible excuse for a company. They definitely need to be a little more selective when it comes to hiring if they ever want to stay afloat. This Caroline lady should be fired immediately.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity Customer experience in store

The whom it may concern,
Today unfortunately I had the worst experience I have ever dealt with in customer service in one of your locations in Bellingham WA.
I am 37 weeks pregnant and I have purchased every maternity item I have worn with your company spending countless dollars and beyond extremely loyal.
I was completely taken back whenever I brought in a bra I had bought a week prior trying to exchange the item. The bra did not fit so I wanted to exchange it for a larger size.
It took a week to bring back because I live on an island that is an hour and a half away AND I woke 40+ hours a week So for me to drive so far to one of the locations takes careful planning and time. So when I take my time to make a 3 almost 4 hour round trip I expect at least adequate customer service.
The worker not only did not great my friend and I when we walked in she was no where to be found. There was not a single associate to be found for up to 15 minutes.
I had to go search for her in the back while she was on her phone.
When I went to exchange the item she refused to return in because the tag on the item was on it but the little barcode fell off. I asked her if there was anything she could do and she said that no it was against policy.i was so upset because it's silly to expect a barcode that is already made to fall off easy to not fall off. I explained how upset I was because I had just drove so far, I could literally have the baby at any point, and that it would take me at least another week to make it out there. she said "my manager would probably make the exception but she isn't here, soooo" and then trailed off.
I asked her what she could do and she said nothing "I don't have the codes for it"
I asked her if I took it to the other store at a different location if they would be able to and she said "maybe, but I can't"
I purchased the shirt I was holding and waited for my friend to exit the dressing room.
My friend then went to exchange an item she bought online that she had still in the packaging and before she could ever get a word in the girl immediately said to her "sorry without the receipt I won't return this for you" and my friend looked at her dumb founded and responded "I was just finding it on my email please give me one second"
"Sorry but we can't do it that way"
Which isn't true and my friend told her to try because at this point we were both beyond irritated.
Turns out she could do it, I just want to make it clear I am beyond upset. I work in customer services at a bank and it is our rules to ALWAYS at least try and help to customer. I wouldn't have been so upset if she at least attempted.
I will not shop at the Bellingham store again, the customer service was terrible and honestly people could have walked into the store and stolen items while the employee was sitting in the back room nowhere to be found.
She was unprofessional and unaccommodating. It would be one thing if I wanted my money back but all I wanted to do was exchange it for a different size.
What happens when tags fall off in the store, will you not sell the item?
I could go into labor at any point and I have to take another long trip to a different store, wasting gas money, to exchange a bra for one that will fit me so I have one when my baby is born.
I really really hope you consider this persons further employment with your company, I would never usually write a review and expect someone to be fired usually, however I was pretty amazed with how terrible she was. I do plan to call customer support, I do plan to speak to a manager at the employees store, I do plan to write a review.

Thank you, again I have been an extremely loyal customer spending my money only at these stores so I really hope you consider that and really consider how your employees are trained on handling customer dissatisfaction.

I would also like if motherhood maternity could exchange my unused unaltered bra, I am willing to do whatever checks necessary to prove the bra has never been worn.

Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity Online ordering and returning in store

This is the third time I've had trouble with ordering online and returning in store. The first and third time they only refunded me half of what I returned, my receipt in store was correct but when the refund came in it was only half thank God I checked it bc I would have never known and lost over 150 dollars worth. And the second time I ordered they wouldn't let me return the item in store and had to wait a week and a half to receive my shipping label from customer service that's rediculous! And it took over 2 weeks to receive my full refund and have the customer service email me back for the first and third order, I've worked in retail before and I know this is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and really rediculous! I thought maybe the first time it was just a mistake but now I'm realizing it's the company and how they do things! Really should get there crap together bc anyone buying stuff from them are pregnant and don't have 2 weeks to keep emailing and bugging the costumer service to get crap done! WORSE EXPERIENCE I have ever had ordering online and I frequently shop online! needless to say I will NEVER order from them again!
