Motel 6 Rooms

2-22-2024 Time: Approximately 3:00 PM-We made reservations for my grandson Elijah Heath. When we went to the assigned room there was trash in the room and the bed was not made. He returned to the Front Office and informed the desk clerk of the situation. He was given another and this room had an eating table and one chair for the table. There was no additional seating in the area that should have been considered as the living area. We went to the Front Desk and tried to get some understanding from the Desk Clerk. His explanation was that many people come with pets so they removed all the additional seating from the rooms except the Studios. For the price that is charged this is unacceptable. He called and got an additional chair for the eating table, but no comfortable chairs for what would be considered as the living room area. You can't base your room designs only on guest that have pets. That is punishing all other guest you may have. Unfortunately we would not recommend this Motel to anyone else.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response and a partial refund for the inconvienience because we booked the room based on your advertisement on the internet. These rooms did not come close to what we saw and to me that is false advertisement.

Motel 6 Office

I worked for your company for 1 week at your job got sick do not have phone but did notify the office and coworkers have meesages from meessenger where tried to communicate when went two days later to take recipt from doctor and medicines the manager debbie and kamlesh told me my sevices where not needed anymore I notified her then I needed my check for hours worked and she had 72 to issue me my funds for work and she said no I need to be paid and also to report the problem of the jobshe knew when I started working there was no phone for me that I would communicate through facebook messenger she even sent me the friend request to do so but yet to this day has failed to check the messages from when I notified her of the illness nor to pay me my last day of work was on last friday and its been well enought time to be paid

Claimed loss: my whole week of work for at 9.50 an hour

Desired outcome: need to get paid . when i went in to work in following day the manageers had another girl tell me i would no longer work

Motel 6 Horrible management and horrible living conditions

I stayed at the one in Las Vegas on dean martin they are full of roaches and has mold everywhere in there they will not refund you your money they only will try to give you 20% off. I literally had roaches crawling on me in the bed and had to be moved not once but twice my daughter got sexually harassed while changing rooms at 3 am in the morning and with all my complaints they still wouldn’t give me a refund. I paid for 2 weeks for nothing. But I watched them refund a lady her money because she had to clean her own room. The management here is so full of bs I wouldn’t recommend this place to a homeless person.. DONT EVER STAY HERE!

My family and I came in from California we stayed here several times they put us in a room where it was roaches all over. We woke up to roaches crawling on us In the bed they we had to move rooms in the middle of the night they didn’t wanna give us a refund but I watched them give this other couple a refund because they had to clean their rooms. The management here sucks their attitudes to the situation was nonchalant to the situation. The other occasion they put us in a room that smelt very horrible like athletes feet and sex the smell was so bad security couldn’t even step inside the room all the way she tried to get some stuff for us to spray but that didn’t help. The room had mold in it and roaches in this one as well and still no refund we had to move another time and this was at 3 am in the morning as we were moving out things my youngest daughter was sexually harassed by a guy which sent me over ther edge and still they did nothing. But because we were making complaints about them they put us on a DNR because they didn’t wanna give us our money back. My face is broken out due to being there and my kids skin has broken out as well. I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANY MOTEL 6 ever AGAIN!

Motel 6 Lack of Parking

I reserved (and paid for) a room at the Austin Airport Motel 6 for October 13, 2023. When I arrived I found a completely full parking lot. The closest place to park was in another lot at the bottom of the only hill in the Austin Texas metropolitan region. Owing to some mobility issues I couldnt safely walk up the hill. I asked for some assistance. They wouldnt help me. I had to go to another hotel and pay more. The staff billed my card anyway. Their "customer service" completely brushed me off.

Motel 6 Everything

I placed a reservation from 10/15 to 10/17. I was happy that I didn't need to give my card info to hold the reservation. We arrived around 11am after a 22 hour straight drive. There were plenty of open rooms and yet, despite what they said on the phone, the attendant refused to help us as it was not 3pm check in time. So we went elsewhere. Then I received notice that they tried to bill my card for cancelling the reservation when they clearly stated no charge would happen. The attendant was rude and spoke very little English.

Motel 6 Invasión of privacy by an employee

I book a room 0ct 4 2023 at the San Jose airport location, everything was going well until, the guess of next room started spying on me true the double door, and from the TV since both TV are in the same wall, there are gaps and true de holes where the cables go on he looks at me, also hitting my door and hiding in the room, the next day I complain to management and they said the no one rent it that room, I told him I have a recording, eventually I heard the voice but this time was in a different room, so it looks like a relative of this individual works at the premises, I was moved to another room, but they still continue harassing me they went from behind the room, perhaps the laundry room, since is out of service, this very disappointing and upsetting but also I’m afraid since he can access any room, since he is spying he will enter the room while you not there! I hope you can take care of this situation asap,

Desired outcome: Well you shouldn’t have maintenance family having access to the property, let go that person for the lack of professionalism, he is terrorizing the customers

My name is Hugo Paniagua and I'm deaf. I moved to Utah city from Reno Nevada, a few days ago and I did reservation Motel 6 Beaver UT and today too, and also, I paid for extend for another night, but the lady in front desk was very rude and yelled me for no reason. I'm communicate with them by wrote on the paper and out of nowhere the lady started yelling at me and cancelled my reservation then, she told me that her manager said he cancelled my reservation that was not going to be charged and yes, I did get charged from them. I have my bank account that showing processed, and it was paid so after I has been treated by them as of called my mother a homeless and tweaker.

I had already paid for reservations and constantly treating me with no disrespectful and I took a serious action but at the same time I keep myself cool, because I hate how they were already assumed about my mom is homeless or any names on my mother. I'm not really appreciated for their not professional, I'm current student for Western Nevada College in Carson City and my advice to motel 6 management, it's to take those employees out of there system or do something and they are just get a room for themselves for free and they don't to do nothing to work it out communicated with me then suddenly so cruel to customers. They should hire other people that are willing to exchange their cashier job for a professional position, and if I extended and pay for another day was because I'm really behind with my homework and so that's the main reason 0f why I already paid for extended room night. I'm also sent my mom a message with directions to get here but I forgot to send her the room number and I was so tired by the time my mom got there, I was fall asleep and didn't feeling my phone, so my mom went to the front office and spoke with guy in front desk.

I was very quiet, and I didn't understand her, so I'm requested her to please write it down for me to understand what she said. She got became very angry and didn't want to write it down. So, I'm carefully ask her repeated to please write it down, she got fed up with me and she called her manager about me. I just don't understand what I do wrong to her. I was very friendly and smile at her and she got bad attitude at me for no reason. She didn't like to write it down for me, so she had to because I keep told her to write on the paper for me.

Next day the manager sent me a few messages and that was disrespectful telling me about my mother and telling me that she was claimed to be your mom, she is either homeless or a tweaker, my mom has 2 jobs and worked hard, and she is not a homeless, my mother lives in Richfield. She was there to see me and not because she is homeless, and she was very cold outside like freezing and need get in a place to stay. I have all the messages of his text and the video recorded and I'm going to use them as evidence when I'm going to see my attorney because and I will be taking an action because hotels or any serious business should never treat like that to customers with that kind of names and to my mother too. I do really like and love any motel 6 because I'm more comfortable anywhere Motel 6. They are there to make people feel comfortable and welcome.

Motel 6 room unsafe

Motel 6 1101 N Temple Av Starke FL 32091

I rented a room to get out of the path of the hurricane. We stayed one night. We did not sleep, too busy killing roaches on the walls floors bathroom sinks drawers and to stay awake so we do not burn up. No smoke alarm in the room. Supposed to be smoke free but there was a used ash tray left in the room someone tried to clean, bathtub was dirty, room stank. No smoke alarm, burn holes in blankets. Would not give me a different room. I want REFUNDED $100

Desired outcome: Refund the money. Oh, and now may need to pay my medical bills. I have gotten a respiratory issue from staying in that unsanitary, smokey, unsafe, stinky room.

Motel 6 Never got any service at Motel 6 off I-90exit 59 in Rapid City, So. Dak.

We stayed at Motel 6 off of 59 in Rapid City So. Dak. &It was the worst motel we've ever stayed at . Light's didn't work over the sink or in the shower an tolite room. No phones, no microwave no fridge. I stripped the beds an they was the dirtiest mattress that had pee all over both beds. We paid for 4 nights

before we seen the rooms an couldn't get our money back, instead they gave us 2 certificates for staying at any Motel 6 we was on our way back to North Carolina an stopped at mound City Mo. or St. Joseph, Mo. an they wouldn't except the certificates. Either we get our money back.

Desired outcome: Either we get our money back or we'll spread the word between all our family's which is quite large.

Motel 6 My car was towed by motel 6 hired tow service for not displaying sticker

On Thursday night, June 20, 2023 when I checked into Motel 6 in Sparks, NV I was given a card to place in the window of my car.  I was advised that without the sticker in evidence my car would be towed away.  The management took down the information on my car verbally and wrote down the make, model, year, and color, declining to take down the plate number.

In 50 years of heavy business travel, 2.6 million miles of driving and over 2,000 motels I have never heard of anything so arrogant, bullish, and taunting of legalities.  Had I taken that threat as anything but verbal leverage I would have turned around and walked out.

Friday morning at 7:30 I discovered the card on the desk in my room and realized I had brought it in with the room key and forgotten to place it in my car.  I quickly did a status check on my car and it was indeed gone.  I went to the office and was told my car was towed, and I was given a phone number of a tow yard 2.6 miles away.  I also did a visual check of the cars in the Motel 6 lot and found 4 cars at that moment without cards showing in their window.  

I am nearly 77 years old.  I drive a 2017 Prius that is immaculate.  It gets washed three times a week.  I am in therapy for  major surgery on my ankle due to a multiple break requiring 2 plates, 9 screws, and 18 staples exactly 4 months prior to Motel 6 towing my car from their own lot while I slept in their room.  I recovered my car within 2 hours, paid a $250 fee, rode regional transit and walked about a mile.

The Tow Truck Company of Reno is hired by Motel 6 to tow cars from their lot. The proprietor of Motel 6 said they check every 30 minutes for cars without a card in their window. The towing service is required to have every car signed off by the management before they tow it.  The

Motel 6 management knew I was sleeping in their room when they signed off my car to be towed.  They made no attempt to alert me.

Motel 6 has been my mainstay for over 50 years, way before Tom Bodett started leaving the light on for me.  A night's stay was $6.95 when I started with Motel 6.  I would like to give Motel 6 the opportunity of compensation of at least the room fee and a few comp nights, and reason to ever set foot on any of their properties again.  I would much rather that than to go to court.  Copies of this letter will go to various legal services and social media. 

Desired outcome: Refund and a few comps, legal action pending.

Motel 6 Bathroom amenities and cleanliness of bathroom

Stayed at the one that's off of I95 in Manassas Virginia on Dewey Rd I believe. The shower had an extreme amount of Mold.There was a used wash cloth hanging in the shower from previous guest. No amenities in the bathroom. Went to front desk for amenities and was charged an extra fee for those. No I did not complain to front desk about the room as it was late at night and I was extremely tired and wanted to get some sleep as I was traveling by car from Pennsylvania to Flordia. I didn't use the shower because of not being clean. I washed up using the sink and a washcloth. Very disappointed as I have worked in the hotel business for over 20 years and stayed at plenty and have never experienced this before. I should have taken pictures and complain then

Motel 6 Motel 6 locations in Nevada

My husband and I are seasoned travelers and this last month-long travel vacation was nothing new for us. We have stayed at many of your locations across the country and have had good stays, however on this trip it unfortunately, was the complete opposite.

Third night on the road put us in Ely, Nev. at your location at 770 Ave. O, Ely 89301. We have stayed at this location several times as it is on our north-south route from Calif. to Ida. Husband went in to book the room, asked for ADA qualified room on ground floor. Clerk said they only had one available so he booked it. I moved the car around to the number and he went in to look at it. Came out immediately and said it was not an ADA room. He went back to office to cancel the booking and was told he could not get a refund and cancellation until 11:00 pm since the manager had to do that and she was not available until then.

We moved on to find a wonderful motor court on Ave. I. We did go back the next morning and get confirmation of the cancellation. The Staff at this location was neither friendly nor accommodating and the motel itself was in a very sad state of repair.

Fourth day on the road put us in Elko, Nev. at your location at 3021 Idaho St, Elko, Nv. 89801, early in the day. Again Husband went in to book the room. Oddly enough the clerk said they only had one ADA room and it was currently being cleaned, would be ready at 3:00 pm, so he booked the room. We went to find some lunch, gassed up the car and returned at 3:00. Not only was it NOT ready, there was no one available to clean it up AND after looking into the room, it really was not in compliance with ADA requirements. So to say the least, we cancelled that room again and moved on to another Motel down the street. We will NOT be stopping at any Motel 6 locations in our future travels, neither will we be recommending Motel 6 to our friends and relatives that travel.

Both of these locations were badly in need of repair and repainting and as a Qualified retired Customer Service Expert - Trainer, your staff and front desk employees need some major training in good customer relations or I can envision Motel 6 going quickly down the drain.

Desired outcome: At best, I think some sort of response from someone in your "customer care" department.

Motel 6 Condition of room.

My wife and I stayed in a Motel 6 in T or C, New Mexico, May 30, 2023-June 1, 2023.
The tub faucet was nearly impossible to turn on and for the elderly that's bad.
The towels were stained. The wash clothes had holes in them.
There was blood spots on the floor, sheets and walls. One can only guess why.
There was no comfortable furnishings. No sofa or chairs.
There was an ice bucket with old water and plastic bag in the fridge. Apparently from the previous occupants.
It was apparent that house keeping had not been in to tidy up.
There was a very loud dog in the room across from us and one down the hall and they would bark when ever we left or came back. And when ever anyone else moved up and down the hall. And in the late evening hours very startling.
Really, we are sad about this because years ago the motel 6 was nice and well priced. I guess they don't keep the light on anymore.
No recommendations here.

Motel 6 Service

Room Issues

- Tissue/paper stuffed where the sprinklers should be.
- Smoke alarm didn't work/broken.
- 1/2 of the stove top cracked and didn't work.
- Bathroom fan broken.
- Terrible roaches the last 4 months of my stay.
- Cleaning staff Did not clean well - used towels connected to brooms to mop the floors.
- Bathroom tile grout caked with dirt, scrubbed the floor multiple times to clear up
- Coverlets had burn holes, glue, and stains on them.

Nimisha Patel has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.

Ms. Patel treats the long term guests atrocious. I have witnessed and have been a victim of Patel terrorizing and demoralizing guest who are of limited recourses.

If you make ANY requests or bring ANY staff behavior to her attention, she will yell at the top of her lungs and call guests liars. Patel will tell you to go somewhere else, or threaten not to renew your weekly rent (I have other guest that will attest to this). She has called me at my place of business yelling at me about my room like a child. Literally telling me to "shut my mouth", while trying to discuss the issue (I have witnesses to attest to this). She has spoken very disrespectfully to my 16 year old daughter (a minor!).

The last couple of months we began to have terrible roaches.

Why I didn't leave despite her behavior? Because I had nowhere else to go at the time. It was the most reasonable I could find even though it had terrible reviews about Patel's behavior. One even saying that she ignored a young lady's complaint about an intruder. But I took a chance.

I paid my room ON TIME, never missing a payment. I spent over $19,000 within the 10 months and was still treated like trash. Even though I am gone, I am honestly still traumatized by her energy.

**Reached out to Corporate, but still no response**

Desired outcome: I would like a personal apology from the General Manager, and a portion of my monies returned for the emotional distress and trauma this women has caused.

Motel 6 Refund

Hello, I had a horrible experience at a Motel 6 located at 2145 E Harbor Blvd on May 17th, 2023. I have been staying here on and off, I always register w/2 adults IDs & for some reason they were not allowing me to stay there or the Johnson location (which I had paid for for the following night May 18th) & said that I would be reimbursed. I called to find out w/the General Manager, she treated me in a very rude manner, she even hung up on me. I was very Surprised and disappointed of her behavior as a General Manager. I still have not been reimbursed. I would like to speak to someone who actually cares about how the customers get treated and to answer my questions that she was unable to answer please.

Motel 6 Customer service, following the laws

On April 23rd 2023 I was to stay here as I was having a surgery at the hospital across the street. Before I got there, my brother had come to help me. Minding his own business. Legally parked with FL disabled license plates. He was approached by two plain clothed, (no uniform, no name tag) scowling women that did not identify themselves as employees and started off their communication with a raised voice. Zero respect. While in the meantime, my brother witnessed and and video recorded SIX criminal transactions take place in the parking lot. Prostitution and drugs. These women were in eyesight of these, but paid zero attention. Leading one to believe they are in on it. The police probably are getting paid off too because nothing of any type of security was there. If you're the authority, you identify yourself as such, respectfully. Kindness goes a long way. I cancelled my stay, and will do all that I can to deter anyone and everyone from using this business. Let us see if they pass the inspection I notified the Building Authority needs to be done

Motel 6 Dirty room and no refund rude service

I got a room on April 7th at Motel 6 by Fort Jackson I paid $107 for a smoking room I got up to my room my room was filthy there was a used bar soap in the bathtub used wash Rags used towels the floor was dirty [censored] still marks all over it they had open empty dirty used food containers I called down to the service desk complained she told me oh well it's nothing she can do about it that the room was clean and called me a liar so I'm back a week later to get another room and get my discount just to find out that I'm no longer allowed to get a room there anymore will not tell me the reason why I got a smoking room because I smoke black and miles I had the window cracked open so it wouldn't smell that bad cuz some people don't like to smell of a Black and Mild I've been getting a room there for over 10 years off and on and never had a complaint never had a problem I used to work at a hotel so I try to make it easy for the housekeepers I'll take everything that's dirty and put it in one pile for them so I'm not understanding why I'm not allowed to get a room anymore I asked for my money back or part of my money back and she told me no I asked for corporate's number the manager that's named Barbara told me no so I had to look up corporate number and make a complaint I do know that lady Janet that was working that night was rude and disrespectful and talk to me like I'm a child and I'm a grown woman I'm 36 years old my mother don't talk to me or down talk to me the staff is rude the room is unacceptable the whole hotel smells like weed I got to the third floor as soon as I got the elevator off the smell was marijuana smoke people yelling slamming doors I end up leaving and never stayed there that night and I can't even get my money back
