August of last year I purchased a couch, loveseat and sofa chaise at the Tempe, AZ Showroom. In June, I discovered one of the boards was sticking out the back of both the couch and loveseat - nails are visibly poking through the fabric plus in the same left corner of the deck of the couches is ripped. I paid $50 for a technician to come out and possibly repair the couches since it was passed the 1st 30 days of purchase. Apparently the frame is broken on both. The warehouse is trying to tell me that damage is due negligence on my part and that I took to long to report the problem, which means the warranty is null & void. They want to attempt to fix it, however are not giving me any guarantees if they are unable to. If I am the only individual who resides in the home, how in the world would it be possible to break both frames and they are not considering this to be a manufacturer’s defect?! The technical could not tell me how basic sitting or laying on the couch could break the frame in less than a year nor could he back up the quality of their furniture. I currently am disputing their accusations of negligence.

I purchased a Bicast Leather Sofa and Chair from Mor Furniture in Kent, WA, August 18, 2006. Now, 14 months later, the frame in front is broke (looks like it is put together with pressed board material), the couch sags, and I am very unhappy. I called Mor Furniture today and they immediately said they could do nothing since the 1 year has passed and it was a manufacturer defect and I need to contact the manufacture. She indicated the manufacturer was Shanghai--she knew nothing more than that, and I would have to search the internet for the manufacturer information. They did not offer to fix the couch. Their 1-Year Limited Warranty policy sucks and I am not through with them yet.

1st off I am a former employee and just to let you know we do not have any information on the vendors within the showroom. We really have no phone number however you are free to call the corporate office and get it or if you ask we would be willing to get the number for you. As with Shanghai they are there to meet a certain price point and therefore while the quality is good it would not be a great as somethin that would be twice as much. A shanghai sofa retails for around 399 for a leather sofa FYI. We service all furniture for one year but are strict about service after that. That is a very standard warranty and the vast majority of people are happy with our service and quality.

All these people are complaining on the quality of the couches, first of all when you go into any furniture retailer they sell couches that are inexpensive and expensive. Don't expect to get a great quality couch for under a $1000 (couch only), don't be cheap, if you are a person with high expectations then spend the money and quit whinning... Im sure when you looked at higer end couches at Mor you were not willing to fork over the dough for the nicer sets..

who cares if the service, quality, and prices suck...

i just can't stand the commercials! i would rather listen to a chorus of screaching babies scratching their nails against a chalkboard while william hung and celine dion sing a duet of the national anthem after sucking helium, than listen to that horrible voice tell me, "NO PAYMENTS UNTIL 2012!" everytime i turn on my TV.

We have had nothing but issues with our purchase and delivery.

In the middle of buying the furture the last bed you had in stock for the group we were buying was sold and we were told it would be 10 days for it to be ready. I waited 13 days and called for the status and was told at that time that it would be another month.
They delivered the final peice today, the bed frame, and it is the wrong frame. We had asked for the frame with the drawers undernether and there are no drawers. When I called about it I was told that was the frame that we ordered. It is not the frame that we asked for. When I spoke to our sales rep Kelly she said that was the one we paid for and signed off on and we would have to pay the difference to get them.
We signed off on this frame because we did not know that the drawers were not included as requested. Not once were we told the drawers were not in the price we paid.
At this point in time I will NEVER purchase anything from MOR again because you do not deliver what is requested or in a timely manner. I would like for you to please pick up the furniture and refund us our money.
Thank you,
Toni Barber

I am currently in the search mode for a leather sofa and club chair. I stubbled upon this comment section about Mor Furniture. Just a note to anyone in the market for any new furniture. You get what you pay for. I walked into a Mor Store, poked around, looked at prices and knew immediately this was not quality furniture. So...guess what I did?...Right.. I walked right out the door and never looked back. The thing with these types of stores that would make it appear as though they are bending over backwards to make you a deal is they are appealing to a group of buyers with less budget. So they (the buyer) gets hooked on the no payments no interest thing. Get smart when buying anything. Research with your brain not your wallet. Make a purchase when you actually have the money. Then you'll make a smarter move. Don't fall for these fast moving high advertising companies. Run the other way. If you don't, just expect problems!

I purchased a couch and loveseat and withing two weeks the cushions were sagging so bad it looked like they were five years old. I called and they sent a tech out who turned the cushions over and instructed me to see if they sagged on the other side as well. If they did then I was to call back and they would order new ones. I called after just two days and was told that they would swap the cushions with new ones. With two days of getting the new ones they were sagging! Now they want to order new ones from the factory which they admit will take a long time due to the overseas shipment. But the problem is that the service manager will not return my calls now and they store manager says there is nothing they can do about it because it is a service issue?!?!? This store apparently sells crap and will not offer a return. Tell all of your friends and family all sales are final at Mor Furniture even if the product is defective! Terrible way to do business!
The attached picture is of the new cushions after only two days and only one person who weighs 195 pounds sitting on it for about six hours total. What will it look like in six months?!?!

I bought a table from mor furniture 08/23/09 it was supposed to be delivered 9/19. They kept pushing the delivery date back, so finally on 10/23 they gave me a new delivery date of 11/01. well my housewarming/daughters 3rd birthday party was scheduled for that day. needless to say that was not going to work for us. so they said we could come and pick it up. we did that. brought it home and put it together. when we took the top of the table out of the packaging, we noticed it was chipped. so we called them to complain and do you think they would pay us back for the delivery fee or replace the table top? no they blamed us and told me that i chose to pick the table up. Then they offered us 100$ to just keep the damaged table. after constant phone calls to complain, they offered to send out a technician to inspect the table but would not guarantee a thing and would not reimburse their previous offer of 100$. we spent over 2000$ in their store...their customer service help and policies are bull ###. I will NEVER buy another item from Mor nor will i ever tell anyone to shop there.

We purchased several items from mor in kent wa, A leather sofa set, a recliner, and a dining table recently. Sales was perfect! Then it started! We were told 45 min. wait to pick up recliner, so we assumed sales said have it ready, nope! we wait 1 hour, go back in warehouse and they say we are real busy sorry it will be soon, 1 more hour still nothing! We go in store and tell them this is crap, we are sitting here 2 hours! whats up? suddenly as he calls warehouse its ready.
We paid delivery on on couches, and table as they were not in stock. We were told 3 weeks on couch, 1 week on table. Couch arrived in 3, but damaged and still no resolution. Table was told arrived and will be delivered on that thurs, then friday called back and said no it did not show up. It would be following week. They called us next thurs and said no it did not show up, will be 18th. then 2 hours later called back and said no it will be another 4 weeks. We have these saved same day in voice mails.
You make your own conclusions, But as for us we are cancelling order on table and getting money back, We will buy at old cannery!

On July 27, 2010, my wife, my daughter, and I went to a showroom in Kent, WA to change the delivery date on a sectional sofa that we have purchased. At the same time, we came to a decision to buy a dinning room table. We sat down with a sale associate to finalize the sale. The two items are going to the same address, he(the sale associate) told us that we have to pay an additional delivery fee of $99. I asked him why, and he said, " Because the sofa is going to the living room of our house and the dinning table is going to a different room." I told him we will not buy the dinning table if we have to pay the extra $99. He replied that he would go ask the manager if it was ok and told us to wait for a few minutes. After half an hour my wife took the kid to the restroom and found him standing in the front of the store trying to make another sale with a different customer. We were so mad that we seek the manager and ask for a refund. I understand that they get pay on commission; however, a 100% of nothing is still nothing. Companies spend a lot of money advertising their products, but the best form of advertisement is a satisfy customer.

I purchased a living room set and ordered different pillows from another living room set. They told me the pillows would be in 4/6 wks. after 3 months never received the pillows. Finally talked to the manager in the Albuquerque store and he said they were in, when my husband went to pick them up, they were the same pillows we already had. The manager did nothing to correct the problem. I called to talk to the district manager and he said the were not in the business of selling pillows? I thought they sold everything. Poor customer service! Will never buy from mor furniture again. Will tell everybody I come in contact with. We own our own business and would never give this service to anyone. How SAD!

I have been in the retail furniture business for over 30 yrs, in Northern California, NV, and Florida. Years ago my husband owned 2 furniture stores back east. We have never carried junk in our stores we know it's going to fall apart and cause all kinds of headaches you don't need. In Calif & NV we ordered from Mfg's in Los Angeles, some good ones are STILL there & they're not that expensive. If a customer complained about the quality of a product and we could see it wasn't the customers fault we always offered a full refund or an exchange. We were never afraid to stand behind our products. In fact we gained even more customers because people overall were happy & satisfied, they told their friends and family which only increased our business. In addition this never happened years before because these products were made here in the good old U.S.A. and the quality was there. Yes it may have cost a little more but it didn't fall apart, you got more than your monies worth in the long run. The Big Chain Stores can screw you because they work on volume and their vultures preying on the less fortunate. Big Chains can't take the product back because they can't return it to China & they're not taking a huge loss, they could never stay in business. You actually can get really good deals out there but you have to shop with an open mind and look at things very carefully. Price is a big factor this is where common sense comes in but if you're stuck on something and can't see straight your going to end up getting ripped off. Next time you make any decent size purchase before you buy ask to see the stores terms & conditions, look at the warranty and who covers it. You may have to sit & read it, I always start at the bottom. Print is small but the important information usually is, making it harder for you to read and be well informed. Always ask Lot's of questions, if they make you feel uncomfortable or if they're evasive just leave because this is the begining of a bad relationship. We have always welcomed questions from our customers in fact our return policy was one of our selling factors.
