November 21,2025, I switch phone carriers. Metropc gave me the port out pin. But failed to tell me that I couldn't switch because my phone would be locked for a year. I've had service with them since February 2025. This has cause a significant inconvenience for me because I already started the activation process with the other carrier. Upon starting the activation I realized something was wrong because my phone was not activated. I reached out to Metro PC and they sparodedly told me, "Oh there is a lock on your phone it will be on there for until February. I completely knew anything about a lock that would remain on my phone up to a year when I signed up for the service. They failed to tell me that part. Overall I am very much displeased with service and will not be returning. Since they cant accommodate me when I done nothing but been a loyal customer. I will not be supporting them as a whole.
Desired outcome: Would like the lock on my phone off.
