Melhart Music Center

The worst place to buy any musical instrument would have to be at Melhart Music...First! most of the equipment is factory damaged in other words its not good stock its scratch and dent or B stock as some would call it, yet they want to sell it at regular price...Kind of like buying a new car with an oil leak.! They carry the cheapest brands of horns and trumpets; a brand called ADAMSON. These are nothing close to a Yamaha . ADAMSONS sound as cheap as they look yet they sell these items at the same price as a quality instrument...Not to mention the service! I went in there one day the owner actually tried scamming me into buying an ADAMSON...He told me it was great instrument yet there was a customer complaining about his ADAMSON to an employee. He also mentioned they manufacture risers and shelves for band instruments; He showed me a Wenger catalog, sounds to me like they are making cheap imitations of good quality equipment. Be Warned! Any money you spend there is not a good investment.
