They stink and are fraudulent. They debited my account without my consent.

This is the second time I've ordered gear from them only to find out later that they don't have it in stock. They're gonna give me my money back in a few days. Strike #2.

They advertise 3 payment to credit check plan but do not honor them. When I asked them why they adertise it, they would not give me an answer. Stay away from shady places like this. Even if tld no credit check, they will still pull your credit history since you cant set up an order without your SSN which is another flag right there. Stay away from AMS (American musical supply).

Avoid if you can. Worst experience with an online retail store ever (and I was told they were good). Cancelled my order for a Scarlett 2i2 3-4 times just to tell me in the end that somebody else purchased it. Had to run through an entire fiasco with my bank, just for them to tell me that the guys over at AMS are literally toying around at their computer desks. Then I was told to keep placing orders even though I was charged for an order I never received.

I've ordered from American Musical Supply many times over the past few years and I never had a problem with them. Their sales staff are smart and nice, their shipping is fast (although I'm not a fan of *** and the prices on "blemished" items especially are really hard to beat. I've also had to return/exchange items a few times and found their Return policy is fast, easy and more than fair. They're a great company with a great staff. I'll continue to shop at AMS as long as I'm still making music.

I bought an electric drum kit from AMS. I knew it was backordered till the 7th of October. I called on the 10th, asking if it was shipped or not, and they told me it would get to THEM on the 27th of October. I asked if there was any way to have it sent faster once it arrived, and until now, I've been on hold with the customer service agent for 22 minutes. This ain't right. I haven't received any emails about my order's status, and the customer service is just terrible. DON'T BUY from these jokers!

I've done business with American Musical Supply over 8 times in seven years and I'm completely satisfied with their service. Right now, I'm waiting for a backordered *** acoustic Guitar. On their page, it said it would be available on the 30th of this month. But today, the 30th, it says it will be available on the 30th of next month. I know there's a war in Europe and a pandemic still messing up our system, so I don't blame American Musical Supply for the delay. They've always had and shipped excellent products to my door, and I value their reliable service.

This place is a complete disaster. The customer service is a joke, especially this guy named "Jason" in collections. I've been ordering from them for ages, but they never get the delivery address right or send me a product in decent shape. It's like they don't even care. And get this, they've been taking loads of money from my account for instruments that I've already paid off years ago. When I showed them the proof of purchase, the employee was a total jerk, talking down to me and then just hanging up. Typical American Musical Supply, always up to something shady. They can't be trusted and they won't even try to fix anything. Seriously, stay away from these guys.

I would give them less than 1 star if I could. I ordered a new guitar from them on their 'EZ Pay Plan' and they sent me one that was clearly open box. I tried to reason with them and have them charge me the correct amount, the amount for an open box guitar, but they refused! The Supervisor I spoke with, Austin, refused to charge me correctly for what the company sent me. He even implied that I was lying about receiving an open box item, which I did not and would not do. I signed up to pay full price for a brand new guitar and that is what I expected to receive. I have no problems paying full price, but not when I order something brand new and receive something open and used. He completely tried to turn this conversation on me, as if I was trying to get money off, when that was not the case. I simply wanted to get what I paid for. This company plays psychological games. Even the email they gave me stopped working and says unable to deliver. I had never heard of this company before and will not be ordering anything else from them. I am wondering if this is even a real company because the customer service was so bad. It feels like a scam. Please, please, please do not buy from here. There are many other options available and once they feel they have the upper hand, they treat their customers like dirt, even if they are in the wrong. Please turn away!

I got a broken product. They said I had to pay for the return shipping, but they promised to refund me once I showed proof of shipment. I did that, and then they said I had to wait for them to receive the item to get a refund for the shipping. So I waited, and then they said I had to wait even longer for them to inspect it. They said it might take 3 or 4 business days before I could get my $110 refund for the return shipping. It's been 4 days since they got it, and now they're ignoring me. I don't get how 3 different customer reps can tell me 3 different things and none of them are true. Basically, everyone I talked to lied to me. The worst part is, after reading other complaints and reviews, it's clear that American Musical Supply doesn't care about ethics or customer service.
