Meijer Cashier

I was going thru Line 7 at Store# 55 (16 and VanDyke in Sterling Heights, MI) and my cashier (Nadia) was quick but she was in a hurry to get each customer out. I was packing my groceries and trying to be fast. She packed 2 of them. Before I could get my groceries packed, off the counter, and into my cart, she was ringing up the next customer. I had finally had enough of being rushed, and lost it. I raised my voice and said could you please hold up and let me finish packing my groceries to which she replied I am packing theirs right here. She than proceeded to reach over and grab my aluminum foil and put it in the customers bag she was ringing up. I totally lost it than and started to really raise my voice and said I have an idea why don't you help me with my packing to which she replied "I don't have a bagger". I than proceeded to grab the bag with the aluminum foil and she ripped it out of my hands and pulled something else out and said is this it? She was very rude and was looking at me like I was in the wrong. I just spent $317.00 of my hard earned money. I do not appreciate it. She also did not let me do the survey. She reached over and punched it in herself. I can guarantee she punched I was happy with my service. I was not. I do like shopping at Meijers, but not if your associates are going to treat customers this way. I believe she is trying to prove she is quick. She's too quick, when she can not even finish with one customer, before moving on to the next. A few months back, my neighbor was in her line. The customer before her started yelling on how she was disrespectful to her. My neighbor and I did not see it and we stuck up for her. After today I am thinking we were wrong. It was not self checkout and I was not aware it was the customers job to pack their own groceries.

Desired outcome: I would like an in person apology from her, along with her taking a class on how to treat customers. I would greatly appreciate a response from Meijers. Thank-you.

Meijer Self checkout

I went to self checkout today and had a small cart. I bought 2 big bags of liner pads for the elderly which took up the bottom of my cart and 2 bug bags of depends as well as a 4 CT sealed Kleenex big box, a box with shoes, a total of 27 items. The lady kicked me out of self checkout and told me I had more than 20 items. Keep in mind you only had 4 registers open and all the lines were very long. I just had major back surgery and cannot stand long so did not want to stand in a long line. I wasn't even shopping for myself. It was for my elderly hospice mother. I am applauded I couldn't check myself out and you are short handed. I went to the Milford oh location today and it is 4:25 pm and it was the pharmacy side I tried checking out of. Shame on your company for not letting anyone help themselves and have no help. I am very upset.

Meijer Over charged

Bought 2-12pk Lipton Tea at sale price. I was charge for a third Lipton Tea. Did not realize it until I got home and look at receipt. How do you go back to the store and tell them I was charge for three and only bought two? Who are they going to believe? Meijer's printer paper 500ct on shelf was marked $5.99. Was charged $6.99. Meijer, 2180 S. Main Street, West Bend, WI. Store #299.

Meijer Wrongful termination

I was a model employee working in the deli department of the meijer store on saginaw st lansing michigan. I had a medical condition of severe breathing condition to the point of not being able to wear a mask. I never missed a day and a few times worked overtime when asked to do so.

But I was fired for not wearing a mask

No one offered me any help. nor did anyone except the dr.s written excuse when I presented it.

No one has contacted me since. If you guys don't reply I have no choice but to join the class action lawsuits set up against you for wrongful termination

I received an email sent at 3:01pm on Wednesday, October 11th with this information:

When I clicked on the click now button, it took me to my login to my Meijer account. I logged in and looked for the coupon--through all 379 of my unclipped coupons and the 8 mPerks coupons, without finding such a coupon. I called the contact us number [protected] and chose option 1 for mPerks. I told the female CSR what I outlined above and she asked a couple of questions and put me on hold. After 5 minutes on hold, another person came on the line and asked me what store I was calling from, It seems she had transferred me to the IT division that handles store level problems, such as registers and modems. He told me to call the same number that I originally called, which I did. I talked to another female CSR representative and she put me on hold 3 different times. She said she would contact escalation to try to solve the problem, When she returned, she told me that the coupon must have been one for the flash sale and it had expired because they could not find it. I told her that I didn't think that in under 90 minutes from the email being sent the coupon would no longer be valid and asked to speak to speak to her supervisor. She said she could only file a report with escalation and they would get back to me. She also offered a mPerks $5.00 coupon for my trouble. I asked her to issue that and that I would contact corporate directly. I have been a Meijer customer since it came to Newark and continue to travel to Columbus and Lancaster to purchase items. It is frustrating when Meijer, or any store, sends out information and following the directions in the email are impossible. My time is as valuable as anyone else's and spending 45-50 minutes to try and save $8.00 only to be told it can only be $5.00 is frustrating to say the least.

Desired outcome: Get your act together! Add the additional $3.00 to my mPerks. Give some information about where to find the coupon in emails. There is more likelihood of it actually existing, it that happened.

Meijer Pharmacy

On 9/25/22 I was released from the hospital with a RX for OxyContin CR 10 mg, quantity 30. The Petoskey Michigan store only had 12 pills so they did a partial fill in my prescription and ran my insurance. I paid $45 and was told they would order the rest & I could pick them up at a later date. 10/2/22 I went to pick up the remaining 18 pills & was charged $90.12. The pharmacy said they couldn’t run it through my insurance due to it being a refill. In fact it was not a refill it was the remaining quantity of the original RX. I want a refund if my $90. Meijer Check-line

To whom it may concern, I was in your Meijer store in Evergreen Park Illinois 93rd St. and Western Avenue today September 30, 2022.

Meijer was always my go to store I spend $200-$300 in your store per week today I went there about 8 AM Chicago time I filled up my cart and precede to the checkout line at this point there was only one line open I believe number five. As I stood there 4th person in line, as I looked around you had five employees standing around the self-check-out line just talking nonstop, you had a floor manager just walking around talking to these five individuals, you also who I am thinking was the store manager was at the front door greeting people coming and going, as I’ve been watching my watch and it’s going on four minutes and the line has not moved now it’s seven minutes and I moved up one spot still five employees one floor manager just standing there talking. so, at this point I just decided to leave left my cart full of items and walked out of the store and went to the jewel store 1.5 miles away filled my cart, went to check out and there was four lines open I was in and out of that store within 25 minutes with my groceries in hand. I don’t write this to criticize the whole Meijer corporation, but I’ve been in food service & customer service and sorry to say your store is Lacking both! I hope you address these concerns and hopefully I will give your store another chance thanks you for your time.

Meijer Products

Dear Meijer Customer Service:

The stock in your stores is deplorable especially when you mail out your coupons to rewards customers.

Take for example the Sara Lee pies. None can be found at two stores I visited, yet, I have a .75 cent coupon received just recently to be used in October. Is Meijers no longer going to carry Sara Lee pies?

Same goes for Quaker Oats 8 pack breakfast box with walnuts. None can be found at two stores yet, plenty at the 3rd I had to drive to and find it.

Finally, the prices at the register on a number of products are higher than those marked on the store shelves making a penalty based on Michigan Law of overcharging.

It is apparent that there is a supply problem but also a shortage of people to change prices on the shelves based on constant price changes every day.

This is not how to run a business.

Dear Customer Service:

On another issue, due to not finding sale items in your store when you have to buy two items to get the sale price, I am told by store personnel to go get a raincheck.

Upon going to the Customer Service Desk, there are no rainchecks any longer.

It is unfortunate that Meijers is having a problem of stocking shelves with items at certain stores on sale yet no raincheck to back it up when you do not have the stock in stores.

With high gas prices and customer's other time commitments, there is no reason to go around looking for stores that may supply the items needed from coupons dispersed to your customers.

Again, not a way to run a business of supplying coupons and not keeping your shelves stocked with those items.

Meijer Shopping Carts have to be the worst I have seen from wobbly front wheels to bad wheel alignment where the cart goes to the right or left.

If you want customers to shop your store, retailers need to provide decent shopping carts.

Shopping is work. Shopping with a lousy cart is added work making customers never to come back.

Meijer pharmacy

They do not have walk in services for flu shots or covid vaccines which is inconvenient. The problem is compounded by their unwillingness to offer phone or online scheduling, insisting everyone use their smart phone. I tried that and it was complicated and I never was able to get the final code to sign in. Not consumer friendly at all. Also they have never gotten my phone number correct despite trying to change it multiple times so I never get called when prescriptions are ready. The other issue is that no matter when I call in a script I am told by the tape machine that the prescription has expired. I asked my doctor and she said each time she had called in and ordered a year's worth of meds so they can't get that right either. On the plus side I do like the male voice on the tape machine as now he sounds like an old friend. Too bad that is all the positive words I have for the pharmacies at either Norton Shores or Muskegon.

Desired outcome: Get more consumer friendly and don't require cell phone appointments. Offer online, phone, or walk ins.i

Meijer Online Ads

When are you going to resume your paper ads? Your online ads are impossible to follow. I want to be able to see your weekly ads (not a bunch of your competitors' ads). They jump around - just have your IT people try to look at them to see if they can follow them. Get the other garbage off the page. If you are financially hurting so much that you have to go this route, perhaps you should consider discontinuing your business.

why should your Meijer store have paper ads and waste money on paper ads if you don't like the fact that; your Meijer store hasn't brought back paper ads it's time for you to move on and for you to not shop at Meijer anymore.

Meijer Alcohol -Beer wine

I went to Meijers to shop. Along with a case of beer, I had a cart full of Groceries. I will be 58 Years old at the end of the year and wasn't expecting the sales agent to scan my license into the Meijer system. I should have been informed there was a new policy. That policy will allow Meijer to track all your alcohol purchases. I told the sales agent, customers need to be advised and consent to that practice before you do that. I should have been given the option to decline and get the beer somewhere else. I did fill out a survey and and the local store called me back. I did state to the customer service representative that Meijers is the only store that sells alcohol with that policy. No one else does that. She kept saying it is Meijer's Corporate policy. Beware I was told that the policy is not due to checking the age of the one doing the purchasing (simply showing your ID and subtracting 21 from the sale date would tell if their old enough to purchase. Sole purpose is to track what and how much you buy and when you buy it.

Desired outcome: I think your policy needs to change. We don't need anyone tracking our alcohol purchases. Your store is the only one that does and there is no requirements State or Federal that would justify your reason for it

Meijer Customer service and web nsite 09.13.2022

Meijers dropped my account which dropped my account so I cannot see the store add. I cannot see my rx account so this company sucks! I called customer service, which is a simple disc rase, the rx department account I had is now being closed and moved to walmart because they said one thing but you cannot get to the account online so I would never recommend meijer's for anything and this includes butt wipe paper product's

Meijer General

This complaint goes about how the Williamsburg store and maybe Meijer store. Williamsburg store doesn't treat their employees right and shouldn't take the rise away in the next few months. They need to take blue shirts away from meats they don't need 3 over there and grocery section need to take to the clothing section. The stores needs to make it important to add things to the shelves and foods. They also need to treat employees better.

Meijer Products in ad

Why is it when your ad comes out on Sunday and my shopper goes there early on Sunday and some of the products (especially Outshine bars are out of stock. On line if you look at least 7-8 Flavors are available but when the shopper gets there he only finds 2 flavors. Oh by the way they were also on sale for 2 for $7. The store on 8000 E. Broad majority of the time does not have the product. If this is thru out your stores , they will be closing down! UNBELIEVABLE.. Not a.proper way to.run a business!

Meijer Macaroni and cheese box

When I started cooking the noodles from the box, I started to notice maggots floating to the top of the water. There were 3 maggots in the noodles. None in the cheese packet though. I checked in my cupboard where I got the box of macaroni from and found no maggots. I am extremely clean and have ocd. I would never leave my cupboards uncleaned, but checked just to be sure. Those maggots were definitely from the sealed box of macaroni.

Meijer no complaint. just suggestion

I notice your grocery ad now has a new addition. Customers now have to purchase multiple of the same products to get the sale price. "when you buy xxx or more". The first time I saw this I thought I was looking at family fare ad. That is why I quit shopping at family fare. Now meijer is following in their footsteps. I am not the only person that does not like this. Many others I talk to are upset with this too. I have experienced going shopping and meijer is out of the product in there ad to buy xxx or more. It could be a high demand item or a supply chain issue. Meijer might want to take a customer survey and see what the shoppers think of this kind of advertising. The buy 7 for $7.00 is not as large of a problem, because we have many choices to pick from.

Meijer Pork spark ribs

I purchased a rib on august 19. I opened it to wash and cook it. It had large lumps on the bone of the meat and it was purple. It’s was a terrible site to see on meat. I was very surprised that someone did not notice this on packing. It was selected from the meat department. I did not see the lumps as the meat was folded. I’m sure meijer does not back this kind of meat. I have been a customer of meijer since you opened in Michigan. Valued perks customer I have had several purchased.

Meijer outside grounds

I am on the Board of a condo project directly behind your Meijer store in Normal Illinois. We have a white vinyl fence on 2 side of our property. The one on the South is just past the sidewalk and street behind us going to your store. There are trees planted in the corner that are not being taken care of or mowed around and therefore it is overgrown and we cannot get to the back side of our fence for maintenance and cleaning.. We have cleaned up this area in the past at our own expense. There has been a homeless person camping behind our fence for about 3 weeks. We have contacted numerous personnel at this Normal location and they all assure us they will take care of it and nothing has happened. We have even contacted the police. There is trash that is not being picked up or either mowed over. It blows under our fence and our owners are tired of picking it up. The whole area is an eye sore and does not speak well of Meijers being a good neighbor.

Could please see to it that this matter is taken care of.

It is my understanding that the person that mows your property here has not been paid

Meijer Gift card usage

I know that this will probably go into a file marked "Nonsense/unimportant" but I have to keep trying to get a REAL answer. Let's start with the fact that I have 2 $100 Meijer gift cards that my children gave me for Christmas 2021. I am unable to shop in store so I use your Shipt service for my shopping needs. I would like to be able to use these gift cards for my grocery purchases, but alas I can't do that. And WHY? Every answer I get is a standard scripted answer. "We are unable to accept gift cards as payment". So again I ask WHY NOT? With money tight, me being a senior citizen and not able to depend on anyone it would be extremely nice to be able to spend the generosity of my children. (Who live outstate)

If you are in the business of helping the communities you serve then why is so difficult to serve all of us. Don't say it can't be done. Any one who has an account with you has their information in your servers along with their digital security code. One of your IT specialists should be able to right a program in short order.

Please take this matter under consideration. There has to be more then just me trying to have this matter taken seriously.

Desired outcome: To be able to use Meijer gift cards for home delivery!
