Maxis has the worst Internet service in the country. The signal strength is very slow and weak most of the time. And the connection is usually disrupted and gets cut off while using the internet. The signal strength is usually at 50 kbs - 75 kbs and hardly reaches 1 Mbs. So, a text page will take about 3 - 5 minutes (color and graphically designed pages could take close to 15 minutes) to load and videos of 5 min takes 1 hour to download.Video and Audio communication or Chat lines like SKYPE is worse, it is totally useless.. Such a waste of time waiting in front of the PC for the pages to complete. This is very disappointing! It is a waste of money paying for the service.
Do not bother to complain to Maxis because they will always give excuses and put the blame on the consumers such as the USB modem is defective or the weather is bad or internet traffic is busy etc It is their duty to overcome these problems since they have been in operation for years. It is their responsibility to provide quality service.
It is advised to not subscribe to Maxis. And if you are, do unsubscribe and use other Internet providers. Please let your friends and family know of this so that they will not be cheated and waste their money. It is also often heard that Maxis' promotional offers are scams and the public are misled and end up paying a large amount of money in the end.
Do not succumb and be deceived by Maxis' advertisements. The public will only be cheated by another Malaysian corporation that interests is only in profits and not quality service to the public and consumers.
