Maxis has the worst Internet service in the country. The signal strength is very slow and weak most of the time. And the connection is usually disrupted and gets cut off while using the internet. The signal strength is usually at 50 kbs - 75 kbs and hardly reaches 1 Mbs. So, a text page will take about 3 - 5 minutes (color and graphically designed pages could take close to 15 minutes) to load and videos of 5 min takes 1 hour to download.Video and Audio communication or Chat lines like SKYPE is worse, it is totally useless.. Such a waste of time waiting in front of the PC for the pages to complete. This is very disappointing! It is a waste of money paying for the service.
Do not bother to complain to Maxis because they will always give excuses and put the blame on the consumers such as the USB modem is defective or the weather is bad or internet traffic is busy etc It is their duty to overcome these problems since they have been in operation for years. It is their responsibility to provide quality service.
It is advised to not subscribe to Maxis. And if you are, do unsubscribe and use other Internet providers. Please let your friends and family know of this so that they will not be cheated and waste their money. It is also often heard that Maxis' promotional offers are scams and the public are misled and end up paying a large amount of money in the end.
Do not succumb and be deceived by Maxis' advertisements. The public will only be cheated by another Malaysian corporation that interests is only in profits and not quality service to the public and consumers.

    Maxis has a TERRIBLE, WEAK and SLOW connection. From what I hear and many other complaints it is the worst in the country. It only works on the average of 1Mb/s but usually less than that most of the time. Also, it gets disconnected often during use and the signal strength is very inconsistent. I would advise other consumers to CHANGE their Internet providers and also tell others to NOT SUBSCRIBE to Maxis' services. There is no use to complaint to Maxis about the situation because they will give stupid excuses and put the blame on the subscriber for example the USB modem is broken, internet traffic etc. while the gadget is fine and the other providers services run much better during the same moment. This is such a SHAME and a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Do not be persuaded by their promotions because they are SCAMS, in that there has been also many complaints that they lead to other additional fees/charges. Basically Maxis is another corporation profiteering without quality service and ignoring consumer needs and rights.

    Lots of people saying that they already used MAXIS for a very long time but they don't know that their being "fool" by MAXIS...why...maybe you will say why I am saying like that...correct ??? so I will explain and reveal all

    My internet service having faulty due to no DNS line. I made report on Saturday, 2nd July 2016 with case reference number C17941059. On 4th July, 2016 they informed me via sms - only on 15th July, 2016 they be able to rectify my internet problem due to Hari Raya holidays and they dependently to Telekom contractor. Therefore for almost 2 weeks, I have no internet, can't make and receive calls, can't surfing / streaming. Can I obtain compensation due to no services for almost 2 week?

    I am staying at taman Sutera Prima, . The coverage is not improved and recently I found the line is getting worst and very regular show signal lost or “No Service”. My husband is using Celcom so I tried to open the same Web page at the same time using Celcom and Maxis apparently Maxis line performance is damn slow. Even share data using Celcom the speed is also faster than Maxis. I hv been using Maxis almost 20 years so I guess is the time to say Goodbye. Instead of putting hope and wait I think I change the service provider is more wise solutions.

    The Maxis Network line at Kuchai Lama NSK is very bad. Can't even excess or very slow. We have been calling since last week and no action is taken. This happen more than a week. They said will ask their technician to call back.. No news after that. I'm requesting to cancel the package without any penalty.
