Review updated:

I didn't quite believe the bad stories I have heard about this Philippines company, Maverick Heroes, but believe me there is something about them like they seem to be a team of sociopaths where they will say whatever you want to hear and trigger your needs in order for you to send payments to them and can't even do the work properly like they say they will, then they will give excuses for everything that it's pointless to reason with them. Here is something I have come to a realization of with all those what they called their perfect feedback because they seem to have all positive reviews, but in fact Guru offers the ability for anybody to hide negative reviews so you will never see the bad reviews. Take a look at my screenshots to see what I mean. Notice how on the public page only the newest positive ratings show up and not the bad ones so all of their bad reviews are hidden and don't believe them when they say they have perfect feedback. I hope ya will approach this company with a grain of salt. Glad that I am not the only one.

For the record, UPWORK.COM HAS SIDED US ON THIS CASE AND CONCLUDED BASED ON EVIDENCE THAT THE CASE IS CLOSED -- to quote Upwork Support: " the client can't force you to give a refund as it is your own discretion if you'd like to give a refund or not" as the designs/ work has clearly been delivered.

As opposed to what this write up says, we present all evidences and screenshots for the people to see. In sync with the attachments, here's PROOF THEY ARE FULLY UTILIZING OUR DESIGNS ONLINE UNTIL TODAY:

    WEBSITE: http://prestigefashionuk.com/

AND ACROSS ALL THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA:
    - https://twitter.com/prestigetextile
    - https://www.instagram.com/prestigefashionuk/

ABID SHAH is a customer who demand refunds way after your refund period, who refuse to pay up and then threaten to bash your company on social media / online, who will harass and attempt to manipulate you and your business into refunding even their "down payment" even after 5 months of revisions and request for work changes approval after approval.

ABID SHAH has done similar threat incidents online with RANGE ROVER, JAGUAR, PARCEL2GO and many more which seems to be quite a modus for advancing / refunding after services. (screenshots all attached)

We call these people “social media terrorists, ” wherein despite of releasing the work source files, (not to mention not being paid for the remaining milestones of the project) request for a refund and torment you online when you don't.

THIS WRITE UP IS A LIE. We have attached proof that shows downloaded ALL of the source files (he approved and requested) which he is taking advantage of until this very day. Most business owners would have given a refund and be done with it, It’s not worth fighting but our policy states very clearly that the charges would be made and you agreed to our terms and conditions by checking the box.

    Hello ChrisMyer or Abid Shah,

The last 2 screenshots shows ONLY THE BITS wherein you are requesting for source files over and over, one after the other and then demanding changes again, and requesting for the source files without even extra payment for the 'after approval designs'.

Your screenshot shows January 15 & 21 - I have attached screenshots and proof that we have sent the requested source files multiple times and our final message was on Upwork dated January 24, 2019.

Upwork has already released their final verdict on this case via arbitration and fair judgement that a refund is not applicable as you have approved throughout the project course of for over 4 months.

Upwork is the safest and the uses the most highly secured screening security system for qualifying companies and if we were scammers clearly we wont be a Top Rated Firm with 99% completion rate.

I have attached more screenshots to back this up so other than this, we continue to work and serve all of our happy clients - clients who respect our time and profession. Enjoy the rest of the evening :)

Having worked with maverickheroes, I can say what others are saying to stay away from them.

My bad experience is similar with demanding money upfront without delivering on time to be late way past deadlines that were promised and demanding more money with problems they caused then blaming you.

They’re overpriced for their service but give poor work and terrible service because they have to pay their real employees and take their portion first and pay the remaining to the rest of their unhappy employees.

Maverick Heroes is more like untrustworthy heroes. They are dishonest and cheaters.

There is corruption going with this company trying to cover up their dirt and requiring upfront payments and holding people’s work as hostage until all payment is paid or positive is left, so again you’re gambling they’ll not lie and cheat you.

Anybody else with negative experience with MaverickHeroes, please don’t be afraid of sharing them to stop other people from being taken advantage of by them.

They shouldn’t blame anybody but themselves. They want to capture many people’s business as possible but failing to live up to promises.

The first thing I noticed was they tend to be more expensive than others, even the established reputable ones in the USA. Being that the case I’m better off hiring locally within the states. They are overpriced ripped-off providers. No thank you.

I was contacted by Maverick Heroes for some website work, but decided to not work with them after doing research.

I do not know what the heck Maverick Heroes is talking about with all their random comments with Upwork.com siding with them when this person is clearly taking about Guru.com. I didn’t even know Maverick Heroes was on there. I then see that they do have a link to their Guru profile from their Upwork’s profile, which they appear to no longer be active on. I tried Googling their page on Guru “maverick heroes+guru.com” and even that isn’t in the search engine, so that’s not a good sign.

    Here’s my take on them.

Based on those screenshots with Maverick Heroes and the client, they don’t reveal anything other than the client asking for the source file for a logo but Maverick Heroes wasn’t responding, thus the client didn’t receive it then told Maverick Heroes that they didn’t have to give it to him and would only pay for the logo and requested a refund for everything else. On the contrary, the screenshots actually showed that Maverick Heroes is in the wrong by having the client’s request go ignored after Maverick Heroes told him “Okay. We can send you the source file of the logo so you can adjust it however you like.” The rest of the other screenshots are of Maverick Heroes talking with Upwork support according to Maverick Heroes’ side of the story. What Maverick Heroes seems to be doing right here is an example of their way of trying to twist the truth.

If you ignore everything else as distractions and look at the most recent last chat between Maverick Heroes and the client on January 22, 2019, the whole incident can be summed as client requested their work to be delivered after Maverick Heroes said they would on January 15, 2019, then client got upset by the delay, no response, or refusal causing client to respond back negatively as a result of Maverick Heroes’ negative behavior with their delay, no response, or refusal. To me, this is like an intruder breaking into your home trying to harm your family, but you end up protecting your family by hurting that intruder then the intruder tries to turn people against you because you hurt him. Simply put, their attached proofs are unnecessary noises and details because they are like showing the honeymoon phase when everything is going smoothly but not the entire lead-up to the break-up phase. Or perhaps, they’re talking about the wrong person because nobody would feel the need to leave a complaint if that person was truly happy about the work as Maverick Heroes claims

When Maverick Heroes said this: “THIS WRITE UP IS A LIE. We have attached proof that shows downloaded ALL of the source files (he approved and requested).” That’s a false statement because the client was obviously asking for the source file but that request went ignored. So I find this whole way of handling this to be a manipulative tactic to cover up their bad behaviors or mislead people into thinking that they’re the good guy when they’re really the bad guy.

I would also be extremely wary of everything about them, especially all of their allegedly positive feedback on Upwork. Based upon them hiding all negative reviews back on Guru and upon others’ feedback, it appears that they will give you the work that you already paid for upfront only after you leave them a positive review even if the work is poor and refused to fix it so you can’t leave negative review, but if you do leave negative feedback you may never receive the work but still lose your money, and Upwork may still remove their negative reviews.

In my conclusion, they come off as sleek salespeople and give off that bad gut-wrenching vibe of master manipulators running a corrupt operation that can be compared to a slavery sweat shop with people who have worked with them.

We also learnt the hard way that they are not to be trusted. Over promise and under deliver and after 3 months were left with a website which was not functioning. Guilt tripped us into paying money when the job wasn't complete and kept trying to insist that they were working hard. Had to part ways and then hire another company to finish the job they were unwilling to do unless we gave them even more money. Avoid at all costs.

Maverick heroes are bunch of liars and thieves. They stole over $400 from our account. I’ve sent them over 20 emails and now they are not responding. Maria who has apparently left the company wanted extra money from us to feed her kids, Sarah and Raymon Paul Ramos are the biggest thieves and liars. Do NOT part your money with these guys.

story. We are in an unfortunate situation wherein the client has reached and demanded too many impossible customizations outside the realms of Worpress after we have already completed the website and went live: www.instafo.com

We did not scam anyone because the website was abviously complete and fully functional on his servers: www.instafo.com, and all of the payments JASON HEYES has made were voluntary as he was happy with the work UNTIL we have stopped working on the addons and requests because it is an impossible customization comnponent of Wordpress, as you can see the site we designed and built is ultimately dynamic and adding more customed CMS attributes just ends up breaking the page strucure: www.instaFo.com. Email correspondence with the client attached serves as clear proof.

Apparently the client is very angry because we refused to continue working with him - and he knows that it's a dead end for his website since it was custom built and coded, only the same programmer who wrote the actual codes and created the plugins keeping the site intact can continue working on it.

He has threatened to provide bad rating and feedback but i guess Freelancer companies like us will always be in this position so we are hoping that everyone who reads this would give us a fair eye and judgement.
