Rackspace is unreliable and their service and support is terrible.
I have been trying since 01/19/2024 to close my account (I have a dedicated server and a firewall). I've already opened two tickets and they just ignore it.
I started to delete all mailboxes and today I'm going to turn off the server.
If they charge me something, I will ignore it just like they are doing.
What a worst company.

Mixed Experience with Rackspace: Great Hosting, Poor Customer Service

They have cheated me
HELLO, RACKSPACE IS A SCAM AND FRAUD THEY HAVE ALREADY CHEATED ME AND I AM GOING TO FILE A CASE AGAINST THEM.THEY FIRST CONVINCED ME TO GET HOSTING ACCOUNT AND BUY A DOMAIN NAME, THEN CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT AFTER 5 MINUTES AND HAVE NOT EVEN REFUNDED MY 200$, MY USERNAME IS AYU2SH, WHICH IF ANY RACKSPACE EMPLOYEE READS CAN VERIFY ... PLEASE PEOPLE BE AWARE OF THIS FRAUD COMPANY .
This is something which was not expected.
After such a thing i called their support many times and they didnt even tell me the reasons for cancelling the account.
They said they will be refunding the amount in 5minutes but that also didnt happen and its been 15 days since this had happened.
