Live Auctioneers Horrible customer support… we do not recommend live auctioneers

We've had two negative experiences with Live Auctioneers. The first was a fraudulent claim that a painting we purchased was from one artist, when a different artist actually painted it. Live Auctioneers provided absolutely zero assistance or support in helping us return the painting and recouping our money.

Then on the purchase of a recent painting, we called and emailed asking for assistance on how to pay so that we could avoid the online payment fee. We asked every day for 4 days and they never contacted us or returned an email or call to assist. On day 5 they charged our card and charged us the online payment fee.

We highly recommend that if you want peace of mind and any level of customer service they you bid through the auction house site and not Live Auctioneers. We will never use Live Auctioneers ever again.

Recommendation: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Don’t be a Fool! Don’t use Live Auctioneers!

Live Auctioneers on line registering

I was trying to register to bid in an auction starting Nov. 6 and was blocked as possible fraud activity after entering my credit card information. Why was I blocked as this is a current credit card. You also failed to accept the code that you sent to me. 795620 What is the problem with registering?

Live Auctioneers MJ Auction House

I bought a piece of art by "Richard Jerzy" from the MJ Auction House on September 3 and it arrived today. It is clearly not from the artist. I feel they misrepresented the piece and misled me. I am furious.
I have been bidding on items through Live Auctioneers since 2017 and have never had a problem. But this is fraud.
And I am sure they suspected this-the images on the website do not show the frame-but the frame is not anything like Mr. Jerzy has used before (photos available on request). I am convinced MJ Auction House knew exactly what they were doing and tried to unload this amateur piece as an original Jerzy.

Claimed loss: $350 for piece+ $98 buyer's premium + $129 mailing fee (even though the package said it was $33.65 to mail)=$603.88. Invoice available on request.

Desired outcome: Refund of my $603.88 and free return shipping to MJ Auction.

It’s frustrating to feel misled, especially when you've had years of positive experiences with Live Auctioneers. Receiving a piece that’s clearly not from the artist, Richard Jerzy, sounds like a serious case of misrepresentation. The fact that the auction house didn’t show the frame in the listing but sent a piece with a questionable frame only raises more suspicion.

It’s important to escalate this with Live Auctioneers and demand a resolution, as it does sound like a case of fraud. Keep all documentation, including the photos of the frame and the listing, and be persistent in requesting a refund or return. Hopefully, they’ll take this seriously and make things right for you.

Live Auctioneers I have not received the items I purchased.

The auction was held July 6. I do not know the auctioneers name but was under the Louisianne banner. I purchased six items listed on invoice #6714477 totaling $473.17. I have called several times with no one answering. They told me they took the items to the UPS store and they were to contact me with the cost of shipping. To date no one has contacted me.

Desired outcome: I would prefer to receive the items. Minimum is to get a refund of $473.17.Thomas Barber

Live Auctioneers Authorized Theft

On the liveauctioneers website, I sent a request to consign a few of my antiques and collectables.

I was reached out by a "trusted partner", who said they would be interested in the items

The auction house received the items, but refuses to sell or help return the items. My items have been stolen at this point.

I reached out to Liveauctioneers for help, via their email and phone number, and I was told that they cannot/will not assist. They are not responsible for any members on their website.

Even worse, they CC'd the auction house in the email, giving the auction company permission to do whatever they would like with my items.

Stay away from this company and their partners. They authorize theft on their platform with absolutely no recourse for their partners.

Desired outcome: Force their partner to return my items or kick them off the platform

Live Auctioneers Auction fraud/ goods never shipped

Liveauctioneers.com - online auction platform- advertised and promoted non existing auction house SMGR Concept and set up two consecutive auctions ‘SMGR Concept in partnership with LiveAuctioneers’ on Dec 02 and Dec 03 2023, offering non existing goods solely on their platform, simultaneously providing and publishing fake address and non working contact details of the above mentioned.

Yes, they’ve advertised it with the following alluring description: ‘SMGR Concept, luxury tastes since 2013.

Specializing in the purchase of second-hand luxury items, the company has until now sold only to professionals or through ephemeral shops and events.

Today, in partnership with LiveAuctioneers, these carefully appraised items are within auction range of each of you’. Guaranteed delivery before Dec 15. Not to mention their usual ‘SHOP WITH CONFIDENCE

Since 2002, LiveAuctioneers has made exceptional items available for safe purchase in secure online auctions’.

I participated in both auctions run by SMGR concept ‘in partnership with Liveauctioneers’, won several lots. Next day 2 emails from Liveauctioneers followed with invoices, payment instructions and bank details for respective bank transfers (bank transfer was the only form of payment offered). I proceeded with payments. Got respective confirmations in writing from Liveauctioneers website stating the Auction house did receive both my payments. The last email on behalf of this non existing auction house was on Dec 13, afterwards - silence. Lots were not shipped. Email address does not exist. Phone number (from onoff app) blocked. I lost over 10 000 usd. My bank can’t recall it, dispute or start a chargeback as it was not a card payment, but a bank transfer from my account to bank account of auction house, provided in Liveauctioneers email.

Liveauctioners are not going to help to recover my money. They refuse to give me any info on the above mentioned auction house for me to be able to file a complaint in court. All they did was temporary blocking this auction house’s profile on their site not to start one more auction now. And me loosing 10k USD is totally ok with them. No info, no investigation, no compensation, nothing. Well, I see there is at least one more non existing French auction house in their auction houses directory, so no vetting or due diligence process exists (at least for whose who are there to collect buyers money for non existing goods ‘in partnership with Liveauctioneers’)

BBB accredited business. A rating.

Happy to provide any additional details

Live Auctioneers Company

I want to file a complaint on an auction house that is doing illegal actions. The auction house is going under another name so they can bid and run the bids up. The auction house will decline your bid if they want the item or for no reason. This auction house is the worst. You receive broken items and never get a refund and if you consign your items you don't get them back. I want this auction house shut down and or investigated. Thank you.

Desired outcome: Shut Them Down

Live Auctioneers Unethical Bidding Process

During an auction, i placed a bid of US$720 for an item under Triple SSS Designs auction house, but i was outbid by other buyers who placed bids at US$900+ and above.

I left the auction page because I no longer wanted to place another bid. I re-entered the auction page again later as I was curious on the final winning bid amount.

To my horror, I saw the bid amount decrease in front of my eyes and it landed at US$720 and I was informed that I had won the lot.

I informed the auction house that I was outbid by other buyers earlier on and i do not accept the lot. However, Triple SSS Designs told me that I have to pay 20% of the winning amount as they have to re-list the item for auction.

I filed a formal complaint to LiveAuctioneers but did not hear back trom them till date. My stand is still firm that I do not accept the winning lot!

Desired outcome: Retract the winning lot and I do not want to pay for the 20% fee.

Live Auctioneers Scam, lost USD 3600

I bought two lithographs from LiveAuctioneers for USD 3600. Then came the invoice from LiveAuctioneers asking me to pay the balance by bank transfer to the so called action house.

I have not heard from them since. The 'auction house' (Caroline Nguyen) has deleted their email address and website and LiveAuctioneers have not contacted me.

Everything is a scam and I have lost USD 3600 so far. And LiveAuctioneers does nothing, even though the invoice was sent through them.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a acceptable solution from LiveAuctioneers

Live Auctioneers Purchase from Antique Jewelry Auction House through LiveAuctioneers

I purchased a Usd 22’065.- SkyDweller Rolex from an Auction house registered and proposed by LiveAuctioneers and never received my item. I contacted the LiveAuctioneers support team several times, they simply opened a ticket and never provided any help or details concerning the Antique Jewelry House Inc. that has simply disappeared. I got no support or feedback to get my money back or to my last five requests. They moreover removed the auction house from their site meaning that I have no way to contact them anymore and LiveAuctioneers is not providing me the contact details. Be ready to loose your money on LiveAuctioneers and to purchase from fake Auction houses. Out of the total price Usd 3’565.00 are LiveAuctioneers commissions paid for nothing. My advice buy directly from real auction houses and avoid unnecessary intermediates.

Desired outcome: My money back or my Rolex

Live Auctioneers Lot 0151 Vintage Assorted 925 sterling silver rings

On June 07, I purchased a lot of rings from Activity Auctions. They sold for 250.00. Auction estimate was 600.00 - 800.00. Their fee is 25%, or 62.50. S&H was 10.59. I wrote to them and they said it was listed as a 100 g lot. I see no where in their description or title that shows 100 g. Their picture shows way more rings than what I received. In no universe are the rings I received worth $600 - $800, nor are they worth the amount spent.

Desired outcome: I want the rest of the order shown on the picture. If they would offer a full refund for getting it wrong, then they should no longer be allowed on your site as an auctioneer. This is blatantly fraudulent.

Live Auctioneers LiveAuctioneers Review: Frustrating Experience with Hidden Fees and Unfair Bidding Practices

I recently had an experience with LiveAuctioneers that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I was excited to win a lamp for a low price of 10.00, but my excitement quickly turned to confusion when I had to chase down the company to find out what was going on with my purchase. To my surprise, the 10.00 lamp turned into a 100.00 lamp with additional fees, taxes, and shipping costs. As someone who sells on Ebay frequently, I know that if I charged someone 100.00 after selling something for 10.00, I would be kicked off the platform. It all seems like a bunch of BS to me.

To make matters worse, I placed around 70 bids on various auctions but only won two. I suspect that if the amount is too low, LiveAuctioneers bids on their own items at the last minute to avoid selling them at such a low price. It's frustrating to feel like the odds are stacked against you as a buyer.

In addition, I won another auction but was told that I didn't pay within their time limit (which was only a few days), so they cancelled my order. I'm still trying to get my money back, but it seems like the auction house and the seller are both blaming each other, leaving me feeling like I'm getting screwed over.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend LiveAuctioneers to anyone. The experience was frustrating and left me feeling like I wasted my time and money. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy auction site, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Live Auctioneers Liveauctioneers' Top Rated Auction Houses: Don't Be Fooled, Read the Reviews First

Yo, listen up. I gotta warn ya about Liveauctioneers. They say they got these "top rated" auction houses, but don't be fooled. Them rankings don't mean squat. We done bid on auctions that were supposed to be "top" and ended up with some real bad experiences. Like, customers be leaving negative comments left and right, talkin' bout how unprofessional and incompetent the auction house was. And yet, they still be "top ranked". It's a joke, man.

So, here's what ya gotta do. Before ya bid on anything, read ALL the comments. Even the ones with one, two, or three stars. Cuz trust me, there's probably a ton of other customers who had bad experiences but didn't bother to leave a comment. Don't waste your time with them shady auctions. Find the ones that actually act ethically and professionally. There's plenty of other auctions out there that'll treat ya right and give ya some fine items. Just gotta do your research, ya know?

Live Auctioneers LiveAuctioneers.com: Enabling Fraudulent Provenance Claims?" - A Disappointed Customer's Review

I recently had an experience with LiveAuctioneers.com that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I purchased an object that was purportedly owned by a famous historical figure and had a high "professional" appraisal. The auction house promoting the item was Milestone Auctions, which was featured on Live Auctioneers.

However, upon receiving the object, I discovered that the provenance was a complete fraud. There was no proof of provenance, and I felt like I had been scammed. I immediately provided proof of fraud and registered a complaint with Live Auctioneers. They assigned me a case number and assured me that they believed that all sales should be based upon accurate and transparent descriptions.

But to be honest, I found their response to be a load of B.S. It seemed like they were just giving me lip service and not taking my complaint seriously. I felt like they were condoning and enabling crooks, rather than protecting their customers.

I have attached a JPEG of my correspondence with LiveAuctioneers.com, which illustrates their lack of concern for my situation. It's frustrating to think that a company that claims to be dedicated to transparency and accuracy would allow such blatant fraud to occur on their site.

Overall, my experience with LiveAuctioneers.com was disappointing and frustrating. I would caution anyone considering making a purchase on their site to be very careful and do their due diligence before bidding on any items.

Live Auctioneers Beware of LiveAuctioneers and Austin Auction Gallery: A Scam Review

I recently had a terrible experience with LiveAuctioneers and their affiliate, Austin Auction Gallery. Let me tell you, stay away from these guys! The online bidding process seemed to be going smoothly, and I was thrilled to see that I had the winning bid on six different lots. I was so excited to finally get my hands on these items that I had been eyeing for a while.

But then, something strange happened. Overnight, someone on LiveAuctioneers apparently won all six of the lots that I had bid on. I couldn't believe it! There were no other bidders on the items against me, so how could this be possible? My gut feeling was that they didn't want to sell the items for such a low price, so they faked sales to other bidders. What a scam!

I have photos showing that I had the high bid on all six items, so it just isn't humanly possible for me to have lost all of them to last-minute bidders. It's clear that LiveAuctioneers and Austin Auction Gallery are using predatory practices to take advantage of unsuspecting bidders like me. I'm so disappointed and frustrated with this experience.

I would strongly advise anyone considering using LiveAuctioneers or Austin Auction Gallery to think twice. Don't waste your time or money on these sites. They're just out to scam you and take your hard-earned cash. Stay far away from these guys!

Live Auctioneers Navigating LiveAuctioneers: Tips and Tricks for a Successful Experience

I've been around the block when it comes to auction houses, and I can tell you that LiveAuctioneers is one of the better ones out there. Of course, you still need to be careful and do your research, but I've had good experiences with them overall.

One thing to watch out for is items that seem to appear over and over again, going for the same price each time. This can be a sign that something fishy is going on. It's also important to check the estimates and make sure they're reasonable. You can usually find information about similar items online, so do your homework before bidding.

Another thing to be cautious about is sending money transfers. There's no way to get your money back if something goes wrong, so it's best to use a more secure payment method if possible. And don't expect LiveAuctioneers to help you out if something goes wrong - they're just there to manage the website and collect their fee.

It's also a good idea to read reviews of specific auction houses before bidding. I once got burned by an auction house that claimed an item was solid gold when it was actually just gold-plated. When I complained, they said they would have specified if it was solid gold. That's pretty unethical, if you ask me. So be sure to ask questions and get written confirmation if you're unsure about something.

Overall, LiveAuctioneers is a decent option for buying and selling items online. Just be careful and do your research, and you should be fine.

Live Auctioneers LiveAuctioneers Review: Frustrations and Risks Outweigh the Convenience

I've been using LiveAuctioneers for a couple of weeks now, and my experience has been a bit of a mixed bag. During my first week, everything went smoothly. I was able to place bids on items I was interested in, and my bids were accepted and posted in a timely manner. I even won my first auction using the platform!

However, during my second week, things took a turn for the worse. I was bidding on four different auctions for several items, but my bids never seemed to make it through. Even though my bids were higher than the highest bid and I sent them before the item closed, I still didn't win. To make matters worse, my lost item bids didn't even show up in my account.

If you're serious about your auctions, I would strongly advise against using this service. From what I can tell, LiveAuctioneers simply can't handle the bid traffic on their servers, which makes the service not worth the hours of wasted time watching and bidding.

After this happened to me, I did some research and found that LiveAuctioneers has a lot of customer complaints. They're ranked 93rd in online auction services by the BBB, and there have been reports of personal information being hacked from their servers. Additionally, customers have reported that they don't receive any help when an auction house doesn't ship after they've paid their invoice. There have even been reports of charges and collections for customers who never bid on items because their account was hacked.

Overall, I would strongly advise against using LiveAuctioneers. While it may seem like a convenient way to bid on items, the risks and frustrations simply aren't worth it.

Live Auctioneers LiveAuctioneers Review: Disappointing Experience with Bidding and Customer Service

LiveAuctioneers is a website that allows people to bid on items in auctions from the comfort of their own homes. I recently had an experience with this website that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I found an item that I really wanted and bid on it way early. I kept getting notifications that I was the highest bidder at Nadeau Auctions. I was feeling pretty good about my chances of winning the item. However, as I watched my highest bid get placed, which I offered two weeks early, someone "on the floor" bid the SAME amount and for some reason (undeclared reserve?) they got the item. Live bidding was shut down before I could offer more (which I would have, lots more).

I contacted both LiveAuctioneers and Nadeau to try to get some answers. Their excuse was that it's up to the auctioneer to pick the bid. So their advice to bid early and high is meaningless and there is no action to be taken. I was really disappointed with this response. It felt like they didn't care about my experience or my concerns.

I've decided to take action and have contacted my State's Attorney General's fraud department. I'm hoping that they will be able to help me get some answers and maybe even some compensation for my disappointment.

Overall, I would not recommend using LiveAuctioneers. It seems like they are just there to obey the auction house, not advocate for you. My advice would be to bid directly with the auction house if you really want an item. That way, you can be sure that your bid is being considered and that you have a fair chance of winning the item.

Live Auctioneers Buyer Beware: My Experience with Nest Egg Auction and LiveAuctioneers

I had a problem with Nest Egg Auction and Mary Ellen Brechlin. I sent them payment for an item I won, but I wanted to make sure it was authentic. I asked for written proof that the item was from the Estate of one of Handel Lamps' top decorators and artists. They replied that the item did not meet reserve and was returned to the consignor. To avoid any issues with being refunded, I stopped my check. I left feedback for Nest Egg, but LiveAuctioneers didn't publish it. I tried again, but LiveAuctioneers told me not to post feedback. I tried one more time to post factual feedback, but LiveAuctioneers emailed me and said my account was suspended. If you're thinking about using LiveAuctioneers, be careful. You won't get any help from them if you have an issue. I've been using their services since they started, and I've had a few problems with auction houses. I asked LiveAuctioneers for help, but they did nothing.

Live Auctioneers LiveAuctioneers Review: A Total Scam - Don't Waste Your Time or Money

I gotta tell ya, LiveAuctioneers ain't all it's cracked up to be. Sure, they might have some good deals on refurbished watches, but let me tell you, it's not worth the hassle. First off, they don't come in their original packaging and there's no operating instructions. And if you have any issues with your purchase, good luck trying to get in touch with the company. They give you a warranty card with no phone number and it's hard to find their contact info online. And even if you do manage to get in touch with them, they'll just harass you instead of actually helping you out.

And don't even get me started on their claims that these watches are 100% authentic and brand new. All they do is clean 'em up a little and make you think they're worth more than they really are. It's a total scam, if you ask me.

I'm not the only one who thinks so, either. I'm planning on reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau in my state and in Texas. And I'm telling you, if you're thinking about buying from LiveAuctioneers, don't. Just stay away. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble.

Oh, and one more thing. They'll try to tell you that some of these watches are worth $800 to $1,200. But you can find the same watches on eBay for $50, with all the proper paperwork and packaging. It's a load of bull, if you ask me.

So yeah, stay away from LiveAuctioneers. Trust me, it's not worth it.

Live Auctioneers LiveAuctioneers and NY Elizabeth's Lack of Responsibility: A Frustrating Bidding Experience

I recently had an experience with LiveAuctioneers that left me feeling frustrated and confused. I was participating in an auction by NY Elizabeth on January 10th, 2021. One lot came up and it was displaying in red for 2K USD. The amount lingered on, and I bid on 2K, but nothing happened. Then suddenly, the bidding jumped to 17K on the side tab, and then the site flashed 18K and said that I won it for 18K. I did not ever bid on 18K, and I was completely dumbstruck.

Normally, when we click on an amount on this site, the site says "bid has been sent", and then it says "you are the highest bidder", and it exhibits all bids on the side tab. In this case, none of these happened, and it did not say my bid has been sent either. Then suddenly, it said I won for 18K.

I immediately contacted both NY Elizabeth and Live Auctioneers within seconds of the incident. I explained exactly as above and wrote several emails. However, both parties washed their hands off and did not take responsibility for the issue. Now, NY Elizabeth has put it for collection, and the collection agency is sending me letters. I have submitted a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission and consumer protection because I should not be responsible for their problems.

Overall, I am disappointed with the lack of support and assistance from LiveAuctioneers and NY Elizabeth. The bidding process was confusing and did not work as it should have, and now I am being held responsible for an error that was not my fault. I hope that this issue can be resolved soon, and that LiveAuctioneers and NY Elizabeth can take responsibility for their mistakes.
