on May 5th, 2025 at the LCBO store at 75 Centennial PKW in Stoney Creek I was trying to buy two items and pay separately. For the first item I was over charged and had to wait pretty long till cashier went to check the price, took the tag from the shelf and trying to change some code in the cash register which I thing should have been done previously. Obviously I did not like what was happening and had some comments but not being rude. From the women at the register behind me I was literally ordered but not politely told with apology, to come down !? I am assuming that was probably supervisor or shift manager as she was helping later with changing the code putting her ID or something. When I was paying my second item, I was in my big surprise, over charged again, believe it or not ! Just like in some grocery store where those situations happens often but many of it, in such a case they would give You the item free of charge. This is happening at the government runed store where everything is unjustified overpriced and on a top of it, they are trying to make extra bucks by such a chip way. Funny and sad ! I could not take it any more and I said now I have to wait again till You check and put everything in order. Frustrated and unprofessional store employees, caught in maybe some dirty games, did nothing to express feeling of guiltiness or apology but to take the bottle away from me and ordered me in very rude, almost army style way to leave the store and never come again ! What gives them right to treat the customer this way ? The monopoly they hold knowing that they will never loose the business or frustration of being unorganized, unprepared and unprofessional ? I wish never again to step in any LCBO store but unfortunately have no other choice. I just hope eventually I will and than maybe they will have to change their attitude
Recommendation: Please always try to remember the price from the shelf and pay attention what are You paying and be aware of the places like LCBO where they think that can do what ever they want
Try acting your age and you won't be told "rudely" to leave the store. They have every right to refuse service to someone whom they suspect to be intoxicated. I am sure from your behavior they thought that you were intoxicated. I am glad you were asked to leave and not return again. If you behave this way sober, the last thing you need is a drink.
