LabCorp
I have received bills for both my self and my husband for services rendered through LabCorp on the following dates: 11/4/24, 1/10/25, 2/14/25.
These bills have been paid through my HSA. I have made multiple calls to the LabCorp billing department with the dates the bills were paid, the amounts paid and the dates funds were cashed. These payments were made through ePay - Virtual Cards.
I have documentation of the payment dates, verification that the virtual cards were processed, and confirmation that the funds were withdrawn. Despite this, we continue to receive statements indicating a past-due balance.
I have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter by speaking with LabCorp representatives, but to date, the issue remains unresolved. I have also been informed that it may take 30 to 45 days for payments to post, yet billing notices are issued before the charges even appear in our insurance provider’s patient portal. This is both confusing and unacceptable.
Furthermore, virtual card payments require LabCorp personnel to verify and activate the transaction—meaning that these payments were knowingly and successfully processed. Continued attempts to collect payment on accounts that have been settled could be interpreted as improper billing practices.
On June 9th I sent all paperwork via postal mail to LabCorp. It was received on June 16th. I spoke with a representative on June 17th who said their deposits team would be looking into this and searching for the payments.
I made a follow-up call on July 3rd. The deposits team does not have the proof of payment and wanted me to send it again. I refused but provided the representative with dates the bills were paid, the amounts paid, tracking numbers and the dates funds were cashed. I requested a call from a supervisor. The representative was to escalate this issue to the deposit team as well as have a supervisor contact me. I have not heard from anyone.
Additionally, these bills are being sent to collections even though LabCorp said they would put a hold on the accounts. We have excellent credit and do not need this to effect it.
I made a complaint with the BBB. I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.
I have received 2 more emails regarding making payments on bills that have been paid as well as a bill sent via postal mail which is a collections notice.
I need this issue resolved as I have excellent credit and do not want LabCorp’s negligence to ruin it.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and resolution to this situation
