KIA Motors customer service at 1st kia of simi valley

Hi! I was a potential Kia customer switching from Toyota but was awoken to a unprofessional, rude, nasty, horrendous customer service experience at 1st Kia of Simi Valley. I left that place so fast and will not be considering Kia anytime soon.
Long story short, I was quoted a price for a Kia Sedona over email in print as well as over the phone confirmation. When I arrived at 1st Kia of Simi Valley, I was insulted and ridiculed of thinking that I could have that car for the price they quoted me in an email ($2k under the retail price). The perso. I spoke to, Maggie, had told me the car was brand new but when I arrived there it wasn't (had 3.7k miles). I too of that mistake, they said they still wouldn't honor the price I was given because they've made a mistake and it's not their fault and the person who provided the quote has left for the day.
The experience of car buying at this dealership was so horrendous, disgusting, insulting, and unprofessional that it changed my mind about buying a Kia. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP AT 1ST KIA of SIMI VALLEY.

KIA Motors kia sportage air cond problem

Hi,

I am experiencing problem with my Kia Sportage 2016 model which is just went through 20K mileage servicing recently and only a year old. I did my 1st and 2nd servicing in Kia Service Centre Chan Sow Lin as I also bought my car from the dealer.

On 23/6/2017 I was on my way back to my home town for raya holiday and I suddenly experiencing air cond faulty during my driving which the air cond suddenly went hot and humid without any cool air coming out of the vent.

I tried to go to the nearest kia service centre when i arrived in ipoh for check up (lahat service centre and tasek service centre) but all was closed for raya holiday.

I suspected it could be air compressor or magnetic clutch problem as I have been asking around from the kia sportage club members who had experienced the same thing and it seems that this is quite a common problem to kia sportage model.

I hope that the parts can be quickly replaceable as my car is still under warranty and the heat is unbearable during driving especially on day time.

Good Afternoon,

I would like to express my dissapointment when dealing with NAZA KIA Malaysia.

Last Saturday 15/9/18, I have received my supposed to be KIA Grand Carnival new facelift after 1 month waiting period but instead, I received an old model which your sales representative was telling me that there were no more old model because KIA is producing the new facelift for the Grand Carnival. This is really "The Power To Surprise"!

I am so convinced that (I'm gonna get a new facelift model as per my booking) when, before your staff register my car (supposed to be Grand Carnival new facelift), I was informed that this new facelift model is without the promotion rebate of RM5, 000 and if I still wants it, I have to top-up another RM5, 000 and I did paid another RM5, 000 as long as I will get the new facelift model.

Unfortunately, when the car arrived from Gurun, it was an old model!
Therefore, I need KIA to refund my RM5, 000 by END OF THIS MONTH.

I feel so bad that KIA treated me in this way. Is this what KIA means a good customer experience? This experience dealing with KIA will haunt me for the rest of my life!
Is this experience that KIA wants me to share with my relatives and friends? They were excited just like myself to get a new facelift model with 8 speeds. What should I tell them? They were in my whatsapp group and Facebook.

I had wrote a letter and passed to KIA Rawang in hoping that they will escalate to the higher management. Please refer to the attachment.

I hope KIA understand what I have been through and could make it up to me.

Appreciate your attention and I am expecting your response as soon as possible.

KIA Motors sorento fire in iran

Dear Sir/Madam,
I purchased a Kia Sorento GT line 2017 model in Iran, on May 10, 2017.
After 23 days and 560 miles of travel the engine suddenly caught fire while driving and the front part of the car burnt completely. It has guaranteed by AtlasKhodro, the official car dealer of Kia Motors. Unfortunately, AtlasKhodro has so far refused to replace the car despite the warrantee and it seems they do not intend to do so.
I would highly be grateful if you could look into the matter and make an arrangement for car replacement.
I am attaching a copy of my purchase document and warrantee.

KIA Motors unethical behavior/horrible customer service to an existing customer!

I had the worst experience dealing with Kia White plains. I went in on 6/3/17 to try and get my wipers fixed(Windshield wipers were not working and needed to be fixed.) I spoke with a guy named Paul who was rude from the moment I got there. He stated that they needed to order a piece and that it would come in Thursday, June 8th. I had asked what can I do until that time because it was supposed to rain, he stated I can leave the car in the shop until then. I told him that it was impossible because I work 2 jobs and need my car to travel. Nonetheless, I asked to speak to the manager because he was rude and told me that if it rains, I can simply open up the hood and put the piece back in from the fuse box to make the wipers work. To me that did not make sense because, if I were driving on a highway and it suddenly starting raining, what would I do then? That is a safety issue !

I spoke with the manager and I told him if there are any rentals I can use and he stated no. I told him I work in a hospital from 8:30am-5pm and I was unable to bring it in for service. He stated for me to come in at 8am to drop off the car on Thursday, when the switch came in to fix, and he'll drop me off at work and pick me up when the service is done. So I agreed, even though there was rain in the forecast, but there was nothing I could do.

I called Weds(June 7th) and spoke with a guy name Sam and I wanted to confirm if the switch that was order for the windshield wipers was going to come in on Thursday, June 8th. He checked the system and the order was not put in ! So I waited for 5 days and the order was not put in by Paul. Sam apologized and called Kia to have it shipped via Fed Ex 1 day delivery. I waited and waited and waited for a call and nothing. I called June 12th and asked to speak with Sam. Sam remembered who I was and stated that the switch was coming from California and did not know what happened (So now, its been 9 days driving without my wipers and it has been raining the past couple of days.

Finally after like 2 weeks of waiting and driving without my wipers working, I received a call stating that the switch was in on June 14th. Again, I work in a hospital and I was unable to take it for service. I told Sam and Paul that I could not take it for service until Saturday because of work. Sam told me to call in on Saturday, June 17th, before coming in so that the mechanics are aware. I called and spoke to Paul, who, I do not even know why he works in a place where you have to provide customer service because he is just so rude when he talks to you. Nonetheless, I spoke with him and he stated that I cannot come in, to come in on Monday, June 19(Mind you, its been 15 days without wipers!) I was furious and told him that I am on my way, as per Sam and needed it to get fixed. I came in and spoke with the manager and told him, its raining now and I need to get my wipers fixed! He told me that there was a long wait, if I do not mind waiting for 2 hours. I told him I have no choice because its raining !

I ended up getting my wipers fixed after 15 days of driving my car without and not one person was trying to help with the situation. I will not be going back to get my car serviced there, and once my lease is over, I will be switching back to Toyota. I switched to kia because of the great customer service, but after this experience, I will be switching back to Toyota. I have dealt with Lexus and Toyota and was never ever treated this way. Every problem I had with those other dealerships, a rental car was provided, or a driver was provided to pick me up or drop me off during the times that I am at work. Horrible service.

KIA Motors dealer bait and switch

Reviewed a 2016 Kia Sedona on line, called the dealer and talked to Shawn he said the van was present. Drove 1-1/2 hours to dealer and asked for Shawn, he was no where to be found. Edgar G. was the first salesman and said Van was in body shop and tried to sell us a new one. When we refused Marcus came out and said Van was at another location and tried to sell us another Van for $25. over our Bank Approved budget. We left after a 3rd salesman said Marcus's deal was not possible.

KIA Motors virginia united states dealership

We purchased a kia sorento about a week ago and after second day we noticed that they have overcharged us on the purchase and some advantages of warranty that they mention is included they charged it on our car loan
When we walked in no one who was so excited to assist us on the day or purchase even bothered to ask what was our concern.
After waiting for about two hours a sales manager mentioned that the person who is in charge was not in yet and we will have to wait
We kept waiting and after about two and half hour we were approached by finance director who said they can't amend the price but can only remove the $2000 that was charged to us and we did not agree to that and asked if we could speak to a general manager he mention that the manager was not in
And we said well will fix an appointment with the secretary to meet the gm apparently the gm was in and when the situation was explained he asked the sales person if they did make us sign the offer form and they said no
And he asked them if this was done inside the box they mentioned yes!
So the gm told us if you aren't happy leave the car and go and he mentioned if they can't explain it to me than they can't explain it to you
We asked before we left if there is anything else they mention no you can leave the keys and your down payment will be returned to you

After about two hours coming back home they call and tell us we have damaged the car and we will have to pay for the costs!
And we knew we never did that because our intention was not to return the car but for them to amend things.
They claimed they have the footage that no one touched the car after we left and we are liable and the sales manager even hung up after we said we want to see the footage!
And when we walked in to ask them to return our down payment yet they accused and kept pushing the time frame away saying the person in charge is not in
We have also gone thru reviews on this dealership that many has faced similar issues!

Please let us know how we can handle this

KIA Motors drivers side mirror

We have had nothing but problems with this dealership since day one ... we always have to pull teeth to get anything done the right way ...
But particularly on this day we had the car in for a service and mentioned that my driver side mirror was very loose we were told they really didn't have time to check it but they can't do anything about it anyhow I would need to have it replaced...It is a little loose could be tightened but was told wasn't covered by warranty and need to order a new mirror ... their is nothing wrong with the mirror it is the whole
Casing that folds when it is windy it folds in on its own .. if you could contact me I could tell you the years of frustration I have had with these people
I will never recommend or ever buy a kia again because of this poor lack of mechanic skills with this dealership ...

KIA Motors headlight performance

My name is Audrey Douglas and I am writing about the poor performance of the headlights on my 2015 Kia Sorento. I purchased the car in 2014, received it directly off of the delivery trailer, and have had scheduled, manufacture-scheduled maintenance performed at the dealership service department. However, I have constantly complained and inquired about the dimness of the headlights every since ownership. Despite several inquiries of having brighter headlights installed, I was told by several different technicians that none was available:if off market halogen lights were installed, it would disqualify my warranty if the lights burned out the wires. The poor performance of the headlights on low beam has caused me to limit my traveling to daytime, high-lighted hours, because of the very low coverage during night-time hours. I am forced to continually use my high-beams when occasional travel at night time. It's only then that coverage is safe and acceptable.
My research has uncovered that Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the KIA Sorento a poor rating for lighting up the highway at night. In comparison to VOLVO XC60 a person was not seen at 100 ft with the Sorento and at 200ft a deer was not seen with theSorento headlights compared to the VOLVO XC60 headlights. This is very disturbing, as safety is of paramount concern to me.
Please inform me how this issue can be corrected on my automobile. What are you all doing to address this safety issue/concern?
I would like a more efficient effective, safe headlight system installed -in my car.

KIA Motors bad and unacceptable service and total ripped off

I just had a very bad experience from KIA Service Center in Al Qusais Dubai UAE. I own a KIA Sportage model 2015 2.4L, purchased it brand new 2 years ago.
I started noticing some smoke coming from the back of the car when I start it but not always. Car is running and no other issue except that. I missed to service it once or twice. Life gets busy and sometimes you just dont have the money (bad call but that is what happen). Maybe I have compromised my car but the experience I had with this service center is totally and utterly unacceptable. I brought the car for service last May 2017 and I mentioned that smoke I was noticing. They had it serviced and when I took it I was told that the car is fine just observe the oil make sure I t doesn't go down because when they checked it there was no/little oil . I was charge for the service and for some parts they need to replace (but at that time they have the 50% discount offered) . So I took the car and did what they asked me to do, drive it for a week and still I a noticed the smoke so I rang them and they asked me to bring the car back which I did and they did some fixing and change some part and charge me another 500aed for that. I took the car again and to my surprise still the same issue of smoke, that bothered me already and rang them again and I was asked to bring the car over again and this time they might need to open and check the engine. Brought the car back to them and I have waited for them to contact me, I was calling them asking me for updates and they said I need to wait coz they are still running diagnostics. I decided to go to them and see the car by myself and to my surprised the car was where I left it four days ago, where I parked it and they have not touch it and done nothing so I complained and they said they will do it and etc. After few days they rang me saying that the car HAS A BROKEN ENGINE (GASKET AND BORE ENGINE) and needs replacing and they want to charge me 13, 000aed despite of me telling them to help me in anyway they can but unfortunately they cannot do anything for me.
I felt disheartened and started asking other people for advice because I felt its ridiculous to pay another 13, 000aed for a two year old car I am still paying from the bank! They said its out of warranty because I missed the service and they charge me another 500aed just for the checking they did and they did not even put the car back together and I have to take it from bits have it towed and take it to another local garage!
Very awful experience and up until now I cannot believe that my brand new 2 year old car has a broken engine! Is it the kind of reliability I can get from KIA? I choose this car because I thought its convenient but I was totally wrong!

KIA Motors kia optima 99-xv-699

Hello. I am Gafar. I am from Azeribaijan. I have complaint from Azerbaijan KIA Motors. I have KIA Optima 2012 Model. I have bougth this car in mart. There was a car insurance. There was a problem with the car seat heating. They have checked and decided to order button for the seat heating. Car insurance was ended on 12 april.14 april. We got button for the seat heating on 14 april. But problem was not solved. There was not button problem, they have given wrong diagnosis. So they do not want solve this problem. I have appliede in time. When I apply the car has insurance.

KIA Motors unethical behavior, added charges

Greetings:
We (female friend and myself) purchased a 2016 Forte from Mayes Kia in Ardmore, OK in August of 2016. It has had problems and after reviewing the paperwork, we discovered extra charges over $2, 000 that are not ethical.
I talked to Marshall, at Mayes, and he told me that they could add up to 150% more over the sticker price when selling the car. This makes no sense because I haven't had this happen to me when I buy my cars. My female friend was working on the deal and I was giving my information over the phone since I live in Texas.
The sticker price, which I had to get directly from Kia, lists the car at $18720. There was a $2, 000 rebate going on and my we put down $800 at the time of purchase. Upon reviewing the contract, they have the selling price as $24, 377 (before rebates, down payment and fees) which then came to a total of $21736. This is where Marshall said they added to the sale. Unfortunately, there's a white slip that's supposed to be with the window sticker but they threw all that away at time of driving off vehicle.
We were charged a fee from the financing company for $2000 but do not have any clear reasons why the sicker price was jacked up even more dollars.
(18720-2, 000-800+2000=17920. Plus their fees listed on contract of $150 still brings the total to 18070. Being charged to "finance" the car an additional 2000 still brings the price to 20070 yet the price listed on the contract is 24377.
PLEASE help us with this issue. The car has 12K miles and the motor is already needing repairs.

KIA Motors sales and finance

I would like to speak to someone "above" the local dealership (Kia of downtown Los Angeles) since I have tried dealing with them directly and continue to be given the run around. Not only was my down payment check submitted with another customer's contract, my trade in vehicle has not been paid off (been the allowed 45 days) causing my credit score to drop due to a Missed payment and I had to pay it even though it's under the dealership's possession. Now I'm told my down payment didn't cover the first month so I'm paying for two vehicles. I went in person to ask about the check being sent to a financial company with a wrong contract and about the trade in vehicle only to be yelled at and even physically shoved out of the way when the man knows and knew at that moment I am pregnant. I reported him to his supervisor only for him to return and continue arguing with me to the point I had to seek medical attention. A week later I followed up with a customer service manager and was given an apology along with a promise of a free oil change and car detail. Sure, that's nice but it doesn't excuse the fact that not only was the health of my unborn child and myself at risk, nothing has been resolved about the money owed to me or even if the correct contract was ever submitted. I am now on bed rest yet will make my way there today. This is ridiculous.

KIA Motors kia service centre mergong alor setar bad service

Saya telah buat appointment pada pukul 3.00PM, 9 Jun 2017 untuk ganti minyak auto gearbox dan filter Kia Sephia. Sebelum itu juga saya telah membuat pesanan filter auto gearbox tersebut pada minggu lepas dan dimaklumkan pada hari Selasa baru2 ini filter tersebut telah sampai.

Namun apabila saya tiba sebelum pkl 3 petang pada hari Jumaat 9 Jun 2017 dan ingin menukar filter tersebut pekerja yg menyambut saya kata Kia Sephia tak ada filter auto gearbox. Cuma perlu ganti minyak auto transmision sahaja. Saya maklumkan saya dah order filter tersebut tetapi kemudin mereka memberi alasan pula ambil masa lama untuk tukar dan tak sempat hari ni. Saya tanya berapa lama...mereka mulanya teragak2 cuba cari alasan tak mahu saya tukar filter tetapi selepas saya desak mereka kata 1 jam. Waktu itu jam saya menunjukkan pkl 3.20pm. Mereka kata tak sempat sebab nak tutup pukul 4.30 katanya. Saya sungguh kecewa kerana datang jauh dari Changlun, Kedah dan dah buat temujanji tetapi mereka cuma nak buat kerja senang untuk tukar minyak sahaja. Saya sangat menyesal datang dari jauh hari ini tetapi mereka cuma nak buat servis ganti.minyak sahaja. Sepatutnya pusat servis Kia maklumkan awal2 kalau tak boleh buat atau perlukan masa lama untuk buat. Atau lebih baik jadi pusat servis tukar minyak sahaja!

KIA Motors kia service centre in greece refusing to repair my vehicle which is still under warranty

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I'm writing to you as I have been battling with my local KIA Service Centre since 2015 for them to replace my car's bonnet and have gotten nowhere to date. In 2016, I raised this again with them twice, once in August and once in November when I had my car serviced but there stance remained rigid and inflexible. I'm hoping that you will be able to assist me as I don't know who else to turn to and this issue has been dragging for 2 years now causing me stress and frustration.

I own a KIA Ceed (1600cc, stationwagon), registration IOI-2220 which I bought in July 2011, in Athens, Greece. The protective coating from the car's bonnet began to flake off gradually and it's reached the point now that the damage is quite severe, having created patches as you will be able to see in the photos attached. I have repeatedly taken the car to my local service centre (HYUNDAI & KIA SERVICE – TSAPALOS, address: Thessalonikis 127, Moschato 183 45, Athens, Greece) and they refuse to replace the bonnet on the grounds that the flaking has been caused by bird poo that has been left and eroded the bonnet. This is an obscene reason in my view and it cannot be the case as I do take good care of the car and do wash it regularly and also as it is unlikely that bird poo would only have had this effect on the car's bonnet. The roof of the car, the back of the car and every other part of it is fine. I have tried many times to reason with my local service centre in the hope that common sense will prevail but to no avail.

My car is still under a 7 year warranty so the bonnet's replacement should be covered by the warranty. I would respectfully like to ask for your assistance to resolve this matter as soon as possible by replacing my car's bonnet under warranty as required.

I'm a loyal KIA customer (my previous car was a second hand KIA SEPHIA which I had for 4 years with no issues) and as a family in general we do prefer KIA cars and currently have 2 more KIA Ceed cars (1400cc). None of them has presented a similar issue with the bonnet which to me also shows that the issue with my car can't have been due to bird poo as my local service centre suggested.

Please advise on how to proceed with a resolution on this.

KIA Motors 2015 kia soul plus remote with blade key

I recently purchased a 2015 Kia Soul Plus from Valley Hi Kia in Victorville Calif.
It is still under warranty . My remote key fell apart and I've contacted the dealer but can't get a response from any one regarding this matter . My name is Richard Mendoza . My phone number is [protected] . I mentioned it to the sales rep when I was buying the car . He stated that the looseness was normal and not to worry . My sales rep was David Herrera . He has failed to return my calls . I've requested assistance from other managers but cannot get a response from anyone in the dealership . I've purchased a kia sportage from them before and had no problems with them correcting any issues I had . But from now on I will think twice about buying a Kia in the future nor will I recommend Kia to any interested in buying a car.

KIA Motors steering column flexible coupler replacement

the streering coupler problem is NOT park under warranty?i need to pay up to RM 500 to replace it at Serdang Service Centre ( Az SC )...
I think that i failure must be park under warranty...

my car is k5 optima 2013 and need to replace it.the SC saying that price is due to the high hand skill needed to replace/open the box to replace it.

pls help to verify...if not your SC is making money easily...

KIA Motors kia sportage rear glass blowout

2014 Kia Sportage. Went to the gym, got out of the car, closed the driver door, no problem. Got in my car after going to the gym, closed the driver door no problem. Drove to work, got out of the car, closed the driver door, no problem. Worked all day. Got in my car after work, closed the driver door, no problem. Stopped at Hobby Lobby ( less than 1 mile from my office), got out of the car, closed my driver door, no problem. Came out of Hobby Lobby, put my things in my car, closed the driver door, there' s a problem. When I closed the driver door, the rear window just exploded into millions of pieces. I've had my car for less than 3 months. No help from the dealer. Deductible $500. Cost of window less than the deductible so... I have to pay out of pocket.

KIA Motors ac compressor 2013 kia fletcher kia bentonville, ar

My husband and I purchased a new 2013 Kia Optima in 2014. The A.C compressor went out in May 2016- it was covered under warranty.
In April of this year, my A.C started working only part- time. I called Fletcher KIA in Bentonville, AR (where it was purchased) and no one returned my call. I waited a few days
(at this time my A.C was working again) they told me it had to be not working in order for me to bring it in. When it finally went out for good, I was 17 days past warranty. But I had called numerous times prior to the warranty being expired. We have been getting the run around ever since.
Fletcher told me to contact Consumer Affairs and no one will return my call. We have been leaving messages and pleading for someone to talk to us since the case was opened May, 24, 2017.
My compressor shouldn't go out every year. And if they would have looked at it when I first called, it would've been covered. We ended up paying $626.00 which is a drop in the bucket for KIA but not so easy for us. I am disappointed that KIA would chose to lose business over this. I don't want or expect anything for free but I am a firm believer that what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong.
This is wrong.

KIA Motors kia doesn't manufacture the remote starter for their own vehicle

Is this a joke? KIA Canada and my dealer told me KIA doesn't manufacture the remote starter for their own vehicle!

I bought my KIA Forte 2017 on last September and asked the original remote starter at the same time. While I was getting my new car, the dealer told me the remote starter was not shipped yet. So I waited about three months and expected my original remote starter be installed. But I shocked when I got my remote starter key. It's ugly with cheap plastic. Obviously, it's not the original one from KIA. They told me the original one didn't receive yet, so, why didn't tell me before the install?

I experienced twice with the engine shut down while I was driving one the road with this No. 1 remote starter and finally it stopped work after about two months. So I drove back to the dealer and let them checked. The technician told me, this No. 1 remote starter is old and not good, he has installed another better one for me. So, I got my No.2 remote starter.

Another two months later, I used the remote starter started my car and got into the car. There was a big and burn smell in my car. But I couldn't find anything burn. I drove my backward from parking and went forward about 10 meters, a big smoke came out under my steering wheel. The first thing I did is open my door, put the transmission to P, then jumped out of my car. The LCD screen was flashing, and the smoke looks like getting smaller. I got into my car again, drove it to the closed parking slot, another 10 meters. I was trying to shutdown my car by push button and remote starter, but nothing worked. Luckily, the car shutdown itself after 5 or 10 mins, then I left with my friend.

The next morning, I called tow and put my car to the dealer. I asked them to put the original remote starter for me since I asked and payed since the beginning, but they said, KIA doesn't maufacture the remote starter. I was shocked. KIA is not a small company, right? And they do not manufacture the remote starter for their own vehical. The next day, I got my remote starter No. 3, and the service manager told me this is the latest modle in the market and should be good for my car. But, where is my original remote starter?

I called KIA Canada many times, but they looks like trying to cover the dealer. It always happened with first give you a good solution, then if that's not work, they will put back to Dealer. The last time I call them was last morning, that guy didn't listen to what I am saying and repeat the words that I disagree. He didn't allow me to say a word, so I had to hang up the phone.

Now, I am dealing with dealer by myself. If I could, I would like to have a refound. I don't like my car any more. It gave me to much trouble.

KIA Motors management/employee affairs

*Supervisor was separated, but working on marriage
•Call logs show supervisor and employee calls way after business hours 10/1am
•Supervisor did try to contact another employee before ..no longer employed with KIA
•Supervisor hangs out with employee and other coworkers at bar (regulars there)
•Supervisor has had to be driven home by bar staff and others
•Supervisor changed password to phone account so text message log wouldn't be accessed
•No longer working on marriage
