UK Customer Stay Clear Of this Company
I want to point out that it isnt the clothing but the customer service and the companies returns processes I have an issue with. I returned 2 pairs of trousers , which were turned away by their warehouse. They then told me I could have the money as a credit note (all this taking another 2 weeks). I then purchased new items , only to be hit with a £60 customs charge (which I am told is out of their control and they wont refund me). They want to offer me more store credit which seems pointless if you have to pay for £60 to receive it. No idea why these charges are this much , as it only cost me £20 to return my goods. Will definately not use them again and will warn all family and friends.

Received defective item with thread coming out and small hole. Sent multiple emails and response time was terrible. Finally get somebody showed them proof via picture of damage. Not to mention pants arrived extremely wrinkled. I have bought multiple items but now discouraged to buy anything due to their terrible customer service. They sent me an email with items to print and I am responsible for shipping item due to their lack of quality assurance. Would not be surprised if they were used. Never again, a warning if you are considering buying.
Misleading Return Policy and Poor Customer Service at ICON. Amsterdam
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with ICON. Amsterdam, a brand from which I recently purchased two pairs of pants. My primary concerns revolve around their misleading return policy, lack of clarity in communication, and generally unhelpful customer service.
Misleading Return Policy: The return policy on ICON. Amsterdam's website is not clear and is misleading. I was under the impression that I could return my purchase for a refund, as this was not explicitly stated as ineligible on the receipt or during the checkout process. However, when I attempted to initiate a return, I was informed that items purchased on sale are not eligible for a refund, but only for an exchange or store credit. This policy was not made clear at the time of purchase, and the receipt did not indicate that the items were on sale or subject to special return conditions.
Lack of Clarity and Transparency: I reached out to ICON. Amsterdam's customer service to seek clarification on their definitions of "return" and "sale," as these terms were not clearly defined on their returns page or in the order confirmation. However, the responses I received were vague and did not adequately address my questions. This lack of transparency has left me feeling misled and frustrated.
Unhelpful Customer Service: Throughout our correspondence, ICON. Amsterdam's customer service was unhelpful and did not make any effort to resolve the situation or provide a satisfactory explanation for their policies. Instead, they simply referred me back to their return policy, which I had already expressed was unclear and misleading.
Questionable E-Commerce Practices: The overall experience has left me questioning ICON. Amsterdam's business practices in e-commerce. Their policies seem designed to trap customers into making purchases that they cannot return, and their customer service is unresponsive and unhelpful when issues arise.
I am seeking a full refund for my purchase, as I believe ICON. Amsterdam has not acted in good faith and has failed to provide clear and transparent information about their return policy.
Recommendation: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM
Con artists
Clearly a con. Arranged for items to be sent back as the quality of clothing was atrocious.
Followed ALL instructions to send it back. Sent it internationally tracked and dated within the returns timeframe. The package then sat at customs for a month. Eventually, Icon refused the return because it was received after the returns timeframe. Clearly not my fault, especially as there is irrefutable evidence it was posted within the returns timeframe.
Icon clearly bank on the fact that returns from the UK take a look time and use it as a method to circumvent their own refund policy. They even make you pay for the return.
I’ve emailed them and had no response at all. They pretend that they want to help in the response to this review and then ignore you anyway.
Avoid at all costs. Don’t waste your money. They will con you. Their business model is set up to con you.
I tried to return 4 items, but I was told that I had to ship them to the Netherlands and the cost was my responsibility. The Fedex cost for shipping was in hundreds of dollars and exceeded the cost of the items. The customer service was not helpful. I gave up on returning the items even though I could not use them.
Do NOT purchase from this website. Last Black Friday, Nov. 24th, I placed my order for $134.84. The payment went through; however I didn’t get any confirmation email.
I have tried to contact them three times, but I haven’t heard back from them.
It’s been almost a week. This is ridiculous.
