Homesite did not consider contractor inspection/estimate sufficient from recent hail storm. They had their own inspector visit and he found even more damage. After several weeks, they ordered another contractor to inspect the damage. Unsurprisingly, while he found the same considerable damage, his repair estimate was less than 50% of any other. Homesite buries on pg 50 of 61 a cosmetic clause that basically nullifies your coverage. Additionally, they overvalue your property. Why? Higher premium based on home replacement value AND high deductible based on value! They WIN every time. DO NOT use Homesite...AVOID at all costs!

Claimed loss: $53k: Roof, gutters, downspouts, chimney and vent caps, garage doors, window wrapping (windows new).

Desired outcome: Full damage repairs
