Home Depot Husky tool box

I recently purchased a Husky tool box for my Dad for Christmas and I had it delivered to his house. This tool box was first delivered Monday December 26th but we sent it back because one of the wheels was defected. I had another one sent from a different store (I placed the order at the same store I originally purchased the tool box). This tool box was delivered Saturday December 31st. Upon taking the tool box up the porch stairs, it fell over and almost crushed my Dad. One of the wheels was not attached to the box as it was missing a C-Clip and some bolts. We continued to take it up the porch stairs and into his home anyway.

We want to keep the box we just need the parts and Home Depot refuses to help. They gave me a number to call Husky since this is the brand of the tool box. I called the number today, January 4th but I was sent to a Home Depot representative who said she would try her best to get the parts for me.

My issues are:
-I had this box delivered twice for a wheel issue
-both times the wheel was not assembled to the box
-The box almost caused an injury, where the company would have been at fault due to not having the box properly and fully assembled (twice)
-I have reached out to Home Depot in person and all they could provide was a number to call.
-I reached out to a provided number today but was not reassured about receiving my missing parts.

I am receiving no help with a tool box I would really like to keep, where I believe the store and the brand are at fault for improper assembly.

Desired outcome: -Have someone come assemble the tool box-Send my missing parts-A discount

Home Depot Online ordering issues

I ordered a ladder on 12/26/2022, order WP55695540.
The next day I received a order shipped email with a tracking link.
After a week of clicking the link and just getting a blank screen I decided to call Home Depot customer service on 01/02/2023 to cancel the order.
She informed me that the 45 minute cancel option was passed.
I asked her to look into when I will actually receive the item. Three weeks is ridiculous for delivery.
She put me on hold and returned telling me it had not left the warehouse yet. I again requested it be cancelled since it was not on a truck.
She told me it was too late in the day to contact the warehouse and she would so tomorrow, and opened a "Case".
Case Number: [protected]
Created on: 1/2/2023 5:15 PM
Order Number: WP55695540
Order Date: 12/25/2022
It is now 2 days later and no response.
A couple things. It appears Home Depot changes the order to "Shipped" when it has not actually left the warehouse most likely so they can bill your credit card.
If as we learned during the support call that the item was still sitting in the warehouse, I see no reason it cannot be cancelled. Seems almost like a scam to me. It is still showing a delivery date of 01/18/2023 which proves it is not on a truck yet.
I suggest you all stay clear of Home Depot.com for orders. This is a very poor business model.
There are better options out there. Home Depot's biggest competitor was able to get me the ladder I desperately needed in two days.
Now I am stuck trying to figure out how to return this large item (when and if I actually receive it) to my closest Home Depot.

Desired outcome: Cancel Order and refund card as promised by customer service.

Home Depot Installation

I recently bought a dryer. The delivers put on the Sleekly type duct work. They told me I would have to order an adapter to hook on to the dryer. The adapter was sold at their store in Ferguson, Missouri. Looking at the that type of duct work it uses is not even recommended and could cause a possible fire if lint gets stuck per one of their You Tube video. The stuff tears very easy and when trying to put on the adapter on then which is an old 3"wide duct the end they put on slipped off when myself trying to put on the I bought adapter on the opposite end which keeps slipping on me which I put from the not crinkly end in to the sleekly type duct as they had done on the other end going to the vent. You could see the circular band was put on the duct that goes outside and the duct was ripped. The previous dryer used an adapter to go from 3" to 4"duct and used the old 3" metal duct to go from outside to the adapter. Their delivery was great, They also removed the old dryer which I paid for and that was fine. Also I had the doors off my French doors going from my living room into the kitchen. My order number was H3013 323739 for a Hotpoint dryer. Foolishly I gave installers a good review before I realized what was all involved.

Their customer care email listed, [protected]@homedepot.com just bounces back and says they do not monitor it anymore. If you call their customer care phone number, [protected] just gives me the run around with a pre-recorded voice and does not give me the option to talk to someone.

Desired outcome: I would like them to help me with the re-installation and if possible use the old 3" inch piping which is solid metal which is fire resist.

Home Depot Sliding door installation

Home Depot installed the wrong sliding door on my patio and they installed it so sloppily that whatever adhesive sealant they used has dirt on it and is all over the white finished frame. Absolutely no pride for their work! I complaint about this but nothing was done. So NO do not use their Door and Windows installation Services. They are lousy and difficult to get answers from.

Home Depot Second party delivery services

Dec 7th I ordered a vanity on line then was told order is confirmed and day & ross will be the carrier. Dec 23rd it arrived at the day & ross facility, no phone call as to a delivery date. Dec 27th I phoned day & ross, they said it was delivered and the oh ah no you were not home. Well iv'e always been home waiting for a phone call or perhaps my delivery! Then I was told roseneau trucking had it for delivery, why? Again no phone call about anything, I called day & ross back and asked where is my vanity? Well roseneau gave it back to day & ross but again no phone call. So when I called back and said get my order delivered, they had to find it in ther warehouse and get it to me the next day, dec 30th, nophone, dump and run, no signature no sorry for the mix-up. Nothing! I highly suggest you have another trucking company take care of your customer delivery orders as day & ross don't care about us!

Desired outcome: USE A MORE RELIABLE CARRIER,DAY & ROSS ARE THE WORST !

Home Depot order Wp52264130

Online order place way back on Nov 20 and as it was to be delivered to a commercial address, I paid extra to have it delivered on friday nov 25 between 10am and 2pm.

As an fyi the commercial address is a warehouse type building with 8-10 different businesses at the same address.

My order of 3 items was split, with 2 items delivered on friday at 8.42pm and it was placed outside a business called South 40 Brewing, which is not the delivery address I provided, nor was it delivered at the time frame I paid for.

Other item delivered on saturday nov 26 at 6.50am, wrong day and time, and from th picture I am not sure exactly where it was dropped off. It was signed for but not by anyone from Seabridge.

In any event neither drop offs were at Seabridge International, which is the address I provided, and neither in the time window I paid for. Items were probably stolen due to being left outside after business hours.

Seabridge is a freight forwarder and there items were to be consolidated with other orders from other suppliers (all of which I received without issue). Once consolidated they were to be loaded on a ship and delivered to Bermuda.

This process takes time, so hence the apparent delay in my follow up, plus tracking notices I received said the item delivered. It wa sonly when the shipment arrived in Bermuda did I realize that no HD items where there.

I have called your customer support several times with no joy.

Desired outcome: Based on the above, HD drivers have failed to follow my delivery instructions and as such I am requesting a full refund of the purchase.

Home Depot The runaround on bad service

What garbage this is. To contact [protected]@homedep.com I sent the below and got an email back saying this box is unmonitored. Now I'm really perturbed. I'll post it on FB.

[protected]@homedepot.com
Re: Bad service on getting my new refrigerator.
Your estimated delivery date is
Saturday, Dec. 31
Order number H1117-117698
Order date Nov. 29th
My response to the delivery:
12-28-22
Okay on delivery. I'll be waiting for you.
Greg Topliff
Customer Service,

I responded to an email sent to me referencing it above. When I didn’t hear back I went back to the email responding with the below. What I got back was an email to call your store. Being already pissed off, the recording refused to let me speak to a person. I called again after fighting with more recordings and spoke to a guy named Francisco who transferred me to Eva who told me they wanted people to call up to find out about deliveries contradicting what the email said about letting me know the day before my delivery and the time. Lastly, Eva asked that I stay on the phone for a survey so, I did. I waited a minute or two only to be told by a recording that they couldn’t connect me and gave me a busy signal. This just added insult to injury.

Greg.

I posted the below in the email I got about saying OK and was forced to call when the response was not to respond to this email. Why that was is beyond me.

12-30-22

Home Depot Rep,

I've been waiting all day for your email and time window to let me know you are coming tomorrow per the above email telling me I have a delivery coming. I have yet to be given either. This is not acceptable to say the least. My delivery date was originally scheduled for the 12th of December now I'm being made to wonder if you people are worth dealing with. I have spent many thousands of dollars using your store renovating 3 different houses over the years. Don't make me regret giving you my business.

Greg Topliff

Desired outcome: I'd like a response.

Home Depot Proterra 80 gallon hybrid high efficiency smart tank electric water heater

I am located in New Hampshire State. We have energy efficiency rebates run by NHSaves.com Home Depot has ProTerra 80 Gal. 10-Year Hybrid High Efficiency Smart Tank Electric Water Heater on sale for $2,272.91 from the "MRSP" of $2,841 (internet# [protected] / Model# XE80T10HS45U0. In this product page they have a link stating "Get up to $900 in rebates for 'my zip code' ". I click through and i am very familiar with this program. This link sends has a home depot pop up with a link to "Get instant Rebate" which takes me to "https://e-rebates.org/nhsaves_hpwh" which as me to enter my last name, home address to where the water heater will be installed and my phone number. It will check my eligibility and then ask which of the two big box stores i will purchase the water heater. I click onto Home depot and i will have a PDF generated from my energy company and with a rebate code number with bar code. It shows the Home Depot Logo with the words below the logo " In-Store Purchase".

So I go to my local Home Depot and they say. This item is only available online only. So I have a product I want to purchase. But the rebate works only in store but the rebate product only can be ordered online. Is it me or is this a bait and switch?

I have screenshots and files to prove all of this. One of the images I block the rebate number but it does show the date and time I applied for the rebate and the expiration. I also contact NH Saves to insure the program is still funded and it is.

Home Depot is misleading me and all the customer who are looking to improve their homes with energy efficiency products. These programs are designed to encourage people to do a small part in our lives in improve the quality of life for the future generations and its taking advantage of these programs where it makes average people just give up in the process.

Desired outcome: To purchase the Hybrid Water Heater for the current sale price of $2,272.91 and since this rebate from NHSaves expires on Dec. 31, 2022 which my rebate is $750 also discounted since they are a participating with the NHSaves program.

Home Depot Ice maker hookup

My name is Charlene Weaver I purchased a new refrigerator on November 8 from the Upper Marlboro store. I don't have my order number because I have misplaced my papers. We set up to have it delivered on November 15. Got home and the email said November 16. Not a big deal. They came to install my refrigerator but was told that they cannot unhook my old line and install it. They called to have the new line put in. Never heard a word from them and then in the next day or two my well went bad so I had to put everything on hold. On November 23 they came and installed it and called your people to have it hooked up. They told me to give them 48 to 72 hours to hear from them. I never heard from them. On November 30 I called the 800 number and was told that they didn't have my name. So that gentleman put my name on the list. On Dec 6 I called and talked to David. I got the same song and dance and said they did not have my name on the list. So he put it on there. He told me if I did not hear from them by Friday to give him a call. Guess what? Once again I did not hear from anyone and I called the store in Upper Marlboro to talk to David. Lo and behold, David was off that day. Are you serious? I wrote a letter to Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta, GA, and told them that I wanted something done before the end of the year. I have not heard a word from anyone there. What do I have to do to get my ice maker hooked up. It has been 7 weeks since I placed my order and this is getting to be so frustrating. Actually it is worse than frustrating. I have a shutoff valve in my ceiling and I just need my new line hooked up. Is that too much to as? It seems like not one person gives a rats [censored] as to helping me getting it done.

So far the customer service at Home Depot rates about a -50 in my book.

Desired outcome: I WANT MY ICE MAKER HOOKED UP AND DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 7 WEEKS.

Home Depot Duplicating keys/automated checkouts

Was at Home Depot this AM (12/29/22) in Miami (Flagler and Palmetto)

My 83 yo mother wanted to have keys made for her house.

She asked an associate (female) who pretended to look around for another associate to help. Nothing happened. Then I went looking for some help-found the original female associate, along with another female and a male all passing gum around. Asked them to help with the key machine. The 2 females ignored me - the male kept telling me about the automated machine.

I asked him if he could please run the machine and he kept referring me back to the automated machine (which had a line).

I showed my disappointment and walked away to find a manager, he noticed and followed me and then went to the machine to make my mothers keys. It took him less then 10 minutes.

We use Home Depot a lot.

I remember a time when the associates would “ask if you needed assistance” now? Not so much!

I understand it’s difficult to find good employees. And it’s very easy to blame “covid” but this has been going for sometime prior to it.

What I don’t understand is all the automation. Automated check outs, automated key machines?

There are still people left who want/need, for various reasons, a person to help. Not a computer.

Please consider training your employees to be kind and helpful again. Don’t forget that you need us to buy from you, just as much as we need you to provide quality products for us.

Right now, Lowes is surpassing Home Depot in employee helpfulness.

Happy new year!

Donna

Desired outcome: Better training for employees. Be friendlier, more helpful. Be able to look people in the eye. Less automation. People run the world, not machines.

Home Depot SKU# [protected] model # R64875ALPYT5WM

We bought this tree Nov 2020, used it for one month. When we put it together for Christmas 2021 the bottom part of tree kept going in and out. I contacted Home Depot . I was told that the plant in China could not deliver until Nov 2022 but that we would get the bottom part of this tree replaced.Since Nov 1 202, I have called and held on and been cut off numerous times and promised by 2 different customer care people that we would be receiving the bottom part of the tree. I was told that I would receive e mails as the transaction took placed. I have received nothing .

We spent a lot of money on this tree and it should have worked for more than a month, the first year we had it.

i am so disappointed in our purchase. Even more disappointed in your customer care and the store.

At this point, I can assure you my business will go to lowes ot Ace hardware.

Our original case number was [protected] , Our customer care person to start with was Erendira.

There were no one there for a while I had to ask one Of the cashiers if they can get someone. While waiting another customer showed up a went on the other side when the CSR reach he attended the other person first then turn to my direction an ask what I wanted I was about to say when he rudely stated “THE LINE IS OVER HERE” an then showed me the sign an told me to read , I was shocked how he embarrassed me in front of others an he kept on telling me to read when I keep telling him that behavior was not called for all I said was I apologize I didn’t see the sign he then showed it to me again an say to read. I requested the manager which I advised what happen as I felt really embarrassed. I kept asking him to quit his behavior a The rep went on to tell me that he don’t care that no one will do anything I then excused myself an went to tell the manager what happened. This type of behavior from employees should not dealing with customers especially on a daily basis if they have an attitude problem. I have been purchasing everything I need from your store on Atlantic an university for the past 13 years an never had a rude person so before.

Home Depot Removal of previous Water Heater to installation of current Water Heater

HORRIBLE SERVICE - LEFT WITH DAMAGE TO HOME.

I purchased the new Water Heater from Home Depot (Riverview) around July 6, 2022, to replace my builder installed water heater from 2009. During this service my home was damaged by Home Depot's Subcontractor (Delta Mechanical). My home had no damages before this service. A builder cannot sell a newly built home without a final inspection, I am the original homeowner and I know my home inside and out. Now my home is Damaged.

I have reached out to Delta Mechanical via a phone call and was told to submit an email to [protected]@deltamechanical.com and to include pictures which I did.

I still continuously called and no response until December 2022. My calls to Delta Mechanical went unanswered until December. Why was only one technician sent to removed and install a water heater. Home Depot what are you going to do about my home being damaged because of your Subcontractor. I can be reached at [protected].

Desired outcome: I want to be contacted by Home Depot to look at the damages done. Who is going to fix my HOME? Repair of my home damages that weren't there before. Do not send Delta Mechanical back to my home.

Home Depot Samsung dryer

The dryer does not work because it was not properly installed by HomeDepot. Now, we are told the time has passed and it is not covered.

Order# H0280-318805

Samsung diagnosed (Asurion) the problem but will not fix it due to poor/improper installation.

Home Depot sent us to the warranty company and they refused because it is an installation issue.

We are being run around and cannot spend the rest of our lives with constant referrals and finger pointing.

Desired outcome: Reinstall the dryer and do it right this time.

Home Depot Whirlpool 25 cubic foot refrigerator-freezer

About 11 months ago I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator 25 cu.ft. from your Westminster Store in Orange County. It had a 1 year factory warranty and I opted for the additional 5 year Home Depot warranty also. This was in January 2022. About July 2022 the refrigerator quit working and all my food was spoiled. I contacted Whirlpool on the phone after a great amount of being placed on hold and steered to numbers where they could not hel me I was finally able to get them to send out two service technicians to check on my rrefrigerator. The lead man was very snappy and rude to me and tried to say that the reason the refrigerator would not work was because I had been keeping the freezer door open to cool down the room in the summer months which was NOT true. I argued the point and they left after telling me to unplug it, clean it and plug iback in 5 days later. Didn't make any difference. Called back & rescheduled an additional appointment. The same two showed up this time telling me that I had too much food in it and some magnets I had placed on the door broke the seal. I comlained to Home Depot where I bought it to see about a replacement. No go. In fact they told me they would no longer value the factory warranty or my 5 year extended warranty. I am disabled and live on Disability check. I went thouhgh the rest of the year without a refrigerator or freezer to keep my food fresh. Finally, out of desparation I called outside service which is Tech CERT and spoke with Tever Neves (his phone is 714=714-7990) This was 12/21/22 and he came out the following day. He diagnozed the problem to be frozen food section not cooling and ice evaporating in frozen food section. He steam cut the ice and replaced the Bi Metal tjer, pstat amd wire harness. Checked it and it works fine. The bill was $363.00 that I have to pay since Home Depot does not honor mfg. warranty or their own extendedd 5 year warranty such as in my case

Desired outcome: I would like reimbursement for $368.00 the total price I paid.

Home Depot Home depot/asurion extended warranty service - stay away!

I called for a claim for my refrigerator on 12/24/22. The lady told me the service is scheduled on 12/27/22 and told me that I am all set. I received an email the same day with the subject: Repair assigned-meet your servicer. In the email it says:

We requested service for you through They'll take it from here.

If they do not call you to confirm their visit time, call them at: . If you have issues reaching them, contact us at [protected].

On the day of the scheduled date, I did not hear anything from the vendor in the morning. So I called them, as directed in the email. The vendor said they have not received anything about my claim service and told me to contact Home Depot Protection Service.

I called [protected], and talked to a polite person for 15 minutes. He said he called the vendor but the line kept busy. Then he transferred me to the "escalate service" to a "supervisor" (not sure what they supervise?). The "supervisor" started to explain that they have no control over it after the claim was submitted to the service center. I told them the vendor could not locate anything about my claim. So where is the claim? And then he explained to me that I should call the vendor to confirm the service, and then the phone dropped.

I called [protected] and went through everything again, describing what happened to the person answering the phone, waiting to be transferred to the escalate service. And then I talked to a rude "supervisor". He repeated what the previous "supervisor" said, which sounds like it was my fault not to call the vendor to confirm the service appointment. This "supervisor cut me off several times and said if I did not stop talking, how could he tell me what he could do to help me. It turned out to be the same "no help". He said my claim has been submitted to the "service center" and I am on the waiting list and will hear from the service center if the vendor has a time slot for me.

I will never buy appliances from Home Depot again, and I will tell everyone I know to stay away from any protection plan provided by Asurion!

IIeber of Easton, Sorry about you situation. Basically, the samething happened to me one day later than you. My refer went out. I bought this piece of crap on 2-1-2019. I chose LG because I thought it was a good brand. It was $2,497 model LFXC24726D.

Went dead over a week ago. Paid $295 for the warranty, which I usually don't do.

I called the warranty people they diagnose it over the phone and set me up an appointment for today. An appointment which was an all day window. At about 3:00 I began to wonder.

Called the warranty people back they confirmed my appointment was for today. Then they transferred me four times. By the time we were done they said I don't have an appointment and they will call me when I do have one.

I currently have a freezer on order with Home Depot which I will be canceling. I loved Home Depot but not anymore.

If you look up the LG refrigerator on yahoo they have a lengthy history of bad compressors and there is a lawsuit out there on this, but it looks like my piece of garbage was made after the lawsuit and not included.

Anyways, I will continue posting about this online. Contact me if you make any progress at ICENOGLE@outlook.com

Thanks, from Burien, Wa

Home Depot Order #WE11742217

I ordered a dishwasher and a stovetop to be delivered and installed. The delivery was, and STILL SHOWS, to be on December 23rd. The delivery guys are here...with JUST THE DISHWASHER and said they just 'didn't load' the stovetop! I called customer service who checked into it and said, yes, that is what happened and that I can RESCHEDULE the delivery for December 28th.

I already disconnected my old stovetop and, because I was TOLD the new one would be in on the 23rd, I am supposed to be COOKING CHRISTMAS DINNER tomorrow night! Now, I have NO WAY to do that.

This is a SEVERE inconvenience due to irresponsibility/incompetence of the 'workers' and I am extremely ANGRY, to say the LEAST!

I have always been a very loyal customer to Home Depot but, honestly, I am not sure that I will use you over Lowes now. There is just no excuse for this...especially the day before a holiday!

Desired outcome: I want my stovetop in today as I was told it was going to be!

Jack Fenimore from Houston, TX

Store 6506 COPPERFIELD

6800 HIGHWAY 6 NORTH

HOUSTON, TX 7708

Order# H6506-176463

I have been waiting over two years for Home Depot to finish the installation of kitchen cabinets. I have made many complaints to the Home Deport Service in Alanta, GA. Originally, they would reply to my complaints but did nothing. Now the Customer Service representatives will not reply to my calls and emails.

They sent their Contractor to do a final inspection and they produced a push list of items that needed to be completed. A Home Depot Representative stated that the parts would be ordered, and the job finished. At this point they would not even return my calls or emails.

I can't believe that a company such as Home Depot will not fulfil their comments.

Below is the chain of events, from the Home Depot Constractor.

* 10/01/2020...check in cabinets

* 01/04/2021...removal of old cabinets

* 01/07/2021...start caninet installation. Unable to complete due to designer issues with waste basket not located on the side of the sink base.

* 01/14/2021...return to install waste basket, still not in the right place but Home Depot wanted to install it anyways. They stated that it was customer's fault as they signed the contract. This was a designer issue and not the customer's.

* 02/05/2021...vent hood installation. Unable to install due to shipping damage.

* 03/17/2021...removal and re installation of waste cabinet in right place.

* 03/24/2021...2nd attempt to install vent hood. Unable due to factory bad finish.

*04/26/2021...return to install stack up cabinets. Unable to complete due to electrical work stil pending.

* 06/18/2021...removal of vent hood to allow new backsplash installation.

* 07/06/2021...return to install vent hood. Unable to do so due to backsplash issue. Top vent openings where off centered.

* 09/04/2021...return to install all needed skins and moldings. Unable to complete as Home Depot or factory did not send right amount of moldings.

* 11/01/2021...return to install undercabinet lifhts and panels. Install all needed skins and moldings.Job is finally completed but a return trip is still required to install extra moldings and re do under mount electrical power strips.

Note: Contractor that installed the cabinets.
