They put up a fence for us in November and ended up cutting our power line
They put up a fence for us in November and ended up cutting our power line. It was a real pain because we couldn't work from home, our outdoor cameras weren't working, and our kids and pets were freezing without heat. ComEd had to come out and replace the whole line. We asked them to make it right and compensate us for our losses, but we never heard back from them until today (2/22/22) when they called to ask for the balance due. No negotiation or anything. Not cool.

I got my vinyl fence from First Fence a couple years back. During winter, one post heaved a lot. It's set in concrete and surrounded by my asphalt driveway. The post heaved so much that the gate can't open right without ruining the finish on it. It also pulled up the surrounding asphalt, which is now cracking. The warranty covers the post heaving, as stated in the contract. I called First Fence on March 30th. The receptionist was nice and said someone would come to fix it. I waited two weeks, but no one came. I called back on April 13th, and the same lady said they'd come within two weeks. Again, no one showed up. I called back on April 28th and spoke to the same lady. She was still nice and said someone would come within two weeks. This is the third time they've given me the same runaround. They also said the owner wanted to talk to me, but I waited on hold, and they never came on the phone. They could've called me in the last five weeks I've been waiting. I can't leave my backyard through the gate without ruining the fence's finish. I also have to pay someone to fix my driveway because of their lack of response.
