Dear, Review Department Counselor: I applied to attend Grand Canyon University this winter semester because I wanted to begin training to become a psychologist; however, after attending the University for 3 days I decided to withdraw. In April 2026, I received a bill for $1,038.20 declaring that it is their amount, which is 25% of the semester cost+ fees. I was stunned; the cost, which is equal to around 3 hours+/- of class attendance which is equivalent to 3 days of school. Most USA schools of the same Standard status GCU exemplify is around two weeks or more with the possibility to withdraw from classes or school without a penalty. Then in May, I received a notice that GCU relinquishing my account to the school's collection department for the lack of payment. Prior to the delinquent notice, I received a letter stating my school money from grants, loan, scholarship etc. had arrived. I have been calling the University trying to get all of the situations in order; however, to no avail. Therefore, I am requesting that the 25% cost +fees be exonerated and the money from grants, loans and scholarship be sent back to the proper resources. Since I am not attending school at GCU this winter semester. Sincerely, Ms. Aunna James Student ID # [protected]
