Hello I was at your good will for your Chandler Arizona location on alma school and queen creek road. Went in there on 3/30/26, I asked about a couch and the policy on holding it with the cashier in the front and she said if I paid for it they will hold it 48 hours. I talked to three employees that said we will hold it 48 hours. I then got someone to pull a man from the back to write me a ticket for it. He was rude and got my name and then gave me the ticket for the couch and said you had 48 hours and then left. I then went back to the front with another cashier and paid for the couch, holding my end of the deal and paying for the item. I asked her if I could take some of the cushions and she said no I would leave it and they would pull it in the back. I then am expecting them to hold it and I had to borrow my dads truck also putting $80 in gas with the prices to drive from gold canyon (70 miles there and back) with his trailer the next day. When I come back they dont have the couch I purchased, and resold it after I already paid for it. Not only did your employees not waste my money or my time and gas they only could tell me sorry. I feel like as a company this is unexpectable and one of the workers said this is not the first time this worker has not pulled the item in the back. I was very disappointed and the fact I am constantly shopping in this location. There was no manager and she did her best to do the return, but wasn't sure if it returned on my receipt right so I don't even have my return yet. I feel though I should not only get my refund back, but compensated for the time and money we spent on Gas to pick up an item that was sold. I also feel like the worker should get more than a slap on a hand if he has done this before. I will not be shopping at goodwill anymore since you guys cannot even align with your own policies. If I would have know I would have gotten it same day but even that who knows if your employee would have resold right after.

Claimed loss: Couch for $100 on top of filling up gas for my dads trailer for $80 to drive over 70 miles to pick up this couch.

Desired outcome: Refund back in cash for your error and compensated for the time and money I wasted on gas for an item you guys resold because as a business if you can even align to your own policies then you shouldn't be doing that at all.
