I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding repeated and distressing incidents I’ve experienced while shopping in your Giant Eagle stores. These incidents have occurred at multiple locations, including McIntyre Square, McKnight Road, Wexford, and most recently the Richland branch, as well as the North Side Cedar Avenue location where I was shopping with my mother.
On multiple occasions, I have been followed in the store, observed interactions between employees and other individuals that appear to be aimed at me, and have felt consistently targeted. Most recently, on June 11th around 3:30 PM at the Richland Giant Eagle, I experienced behavior that left me feeling surrounded and unsafe.
I am actively trying to understand which agency or individuals may be involved in following me, but I ask that Giant Eagle employees not contribute to this stress or intimidation. Retail employees should not engage in behavior — directly or indirectly — that could make a customer feel harassed or watched.
This pattern is creating a hostile shopping environment and I respectfully request that Giant Eagle investigate these incidents and ensure that store staff are maintaining professional, neutral, and respectful conduct toward all customers. I ask that you take this matter seriously and help restore a safe, welcoming environment in your stores.
Please consider this a formal complaint. I would appreciate a written response addressing these concerns. I am willing to provide more details if necessary.
