GetYourGuide review: Stay away from this company - find other options

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I purchased tickets to Machu Pichu for 4 adults and 1 child. I was charged $285 and assigned a random circuit. It was my miss as I was thinking I could select the circuit (I wanted circuit 2). I was told that the tickets were not refundable. When I checked the circuit I was assigned, I found that I could have bought the same tickets, for the same date and time for $85. Net, they charged $200 upper just to place a PO that I could have placed on my own. The only reason I purchased from them was that I thought I could get tickets for a circuit that was sold out (not a ticket that even today, after one month is still available). Customer service tells me the following:
While suppliers set their own retail prices to cover their procurement costs, booking guarantees, and platform fees, we agree that extreme markups between local government rates and supplier listings create an unsatisfactory customer experience.
Net, they don't provide customer service, the excuse is that local suppliers that sell under "Get your Guide" manage their own pricing. This is ABSURD and TOTALLY wrong. Don't trust you will get support and for sure you will overpay. No accountability at all. Check prices with local entities. The tickets I overpaid for are just entry tickets (no transportation, no tour, etc). I will never use Get your Guide again. These people are a total scam with no governance on what their operators do.
