Thank you for your nice response Candice I appreciate it. To be honest with you, I was pleasantly surprised that a big company like GE, would pay attention to a little guy like me, and again, it is greatly appreciated. I'm including an image of the part that's not working, not just the light part itself, but rather the whole unit. A local technician told me, this unit is held to the top by one screw, you unscrew it, unplug it in the back, and replace it with the new unit, all this, after you disconnect the power supply of course. As far as the tick, tick, tick sound around the compressor area, there's nothing I can do, I will keep going with this refrigerator, for as far, and as long it will take me, simple as that. Finally, I would like to thank you for one more time Candice, hopefully, GE will come through and provide me with the part I need, as a wonderful Thanksgiving day gesture, that's the best outcome for me. God bless. Respectfully, Nick Giangoulas.

Thank you for contacting GE appliances. My name is Candice and it’s my pleasure to assist you today. Sorry to hear your having this issue with your appliance. Due to the appliance no longer being covered under warranty we could only recommend service for the issue. You would be responsible for the cost of the repair.
