Switched to Gas South hoping for positive change, only to realize that they are in every way typical of their competitors in the natural gas industry. I don't receive paper bills from them anymore, as they've switched to "paperless billing" - the problem is, I don't receive email notifications from them, either. All I ever receive is an emailed 'PAST DUE' notice. I've spoken to them about it on numerous occasions and I'm always assured that my bill will arrive in email form well before the due date every month, and it never happens. Also, they seem to concoct my consumption rate based on nothing. My tiny, 1300 square foot home is occupied only by me, and even in the summertime, when my furnace NEVER comes on, my bills are huge. I've protested, they say something vague about 'reviewing the issue' and nothing ever changes. Typical. They make up an amount and we're supposed to just pay it, however ridiculous. Sick of all of them, including Gas South. My next home will NOT have natural gas - way too big a scam.
Recommendation: Avoid natural gas if you can. If you can't, be ready to do battle with one crooked company after another.
