February 27, 2020, (order#[protected]) I ordered the Archer bed which they said it was on back order. Early part of March, they delivered a portion of my bed and the remainder arrived in late March. Opened the box and it was damaged. This was the beginning of my frustration and 5 months later, I still do not have my bed. I called customer service, corporate (which I'm still waiting for a return call) and emailed them. I understood during our states mandated shutdown my concerns could not be address but when Gardner-White in Taylor, MI opened May 26. I thought for sure I could get some resolution, (not). On 5/26, I spoke to the Store Manager, Trey Tate about my bed and told him how frustrated I was about this situation. I told him, 'if they cannot get me another one, I wanted a refund.' He told me I could not get a refund because it was beyond the 7 day return policy. I expressed that we are in a middle of a pandemic and I think that some sort exception can be made. He told me to email him pictures of the damages, and he assured me they will get me a new bed. He arranged for a pick up of the damaged bed and its replacement along with a mattress I had just ordered. When the delivery came, they had my mattress but the driver said all he had was a head & footboard but not a complete bed. I kept the mattress and refused the other item and told him to take the damaged bed with them. As soon as they left, I went back to Gardner White to speak to Mr. Tate, I expressed how frustrated I was and requested a full refund. He gave me a refund minus the delivery fee. You would think that I would have gotten some sort of apology or a full refund seeing that I've been dealing with this ordeal since March. I've wasted my time, gas and money.
On July 26, 2020, (order #[protected]) I went to the Gardner-White in Southfield, MI. This location has a very unprofessional Sales Team and customer service. Someone finally answered the phone but she put me on hold a never came back, so I drove up there. A salesperson by the name of Nycolby Banks greeted me when I entered. His unprofessional demeanor and overly cocky attitude put me more in a foul mood. The more I kept explaining about my ordeal and describing the parts to my bed. The more he wanted to assure me that he has it all under control and there shouldn't be any problems with the order and if it is, come back up there to see him. I DID JUST THAT! When my order came on July 28th, the driver once again told me that he cannot assemble my bed because there were no post on the order. (The very item I kept telling Mr. Banks that was needed when he placed my order in the first place) I refused the order again and went right back up to the store. Mr. Banks was off that day, so I spoke to the Sales Manager Averal. He seemed overwhelmed, preoccupied and unenthused about my dilemma. He placed another order that included the post and it was set to be delivered on July 29th. The deliver came once again, this time they had everything but the head/footboard. So I kept what they brought and went right back up to the store. This time I spoke to Mr. Banks and Averal. I said to the both of them that if Mr. Banks wasn't acting so super friendly towards me and had focused on what I was telling him, my order would have been correct and I would be back up here. Mr. Banks proceeded to touch my arm, and I said out loud, "Don't touch me". He apologized and said, yes that is true, she told me about the post. He got up a went to a station to get on the phone with the distribution center. I sat there for 45 minutes and he finally came over to tell me that no one has picked up, but I could leave and he would call me about when my missing parts would be available. I did not receive a call later that evening nor I have gotten one today. I'm giving them until the end of the day tomorrow to call me, and I'm going back up there. I'm just so over it... the only thing I ordered was a bed. I'm glad I didn't order the complete bedroom set. Ashley Furniture, Value City Furniture nor did Bob's Furniture have that style bed or anything similar to it, that is the only reason I kept trying to purchase the bed.
