Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Refund for device - no stock held

Refund ref number 643183.
Purchased cellphone online and due to no stock available, I chose to take a refund.
25/08 - purchase made online using credit card
Week later, requested refund.
I waited the 10 days I was advised that it would take for this process to be completed.
After 10 days I was advised that my order was not canceled and that there is a problem processing my refund.
I reached out on Facebook on 14/10 and still to date not received my money.
This query has been escalated numerous times with no resolution.
I keep getting told that it will be resolved ASAP, and sorry for the delay, with no explanation why it's taking so long.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Ryobi 720w belt sander

I bought a Ryobi 720w belt sander on 28/10/2019 for R 1099.00

On 27/09/2020 I took it in to Game Kimberley
After 30 days without hearing anything from them I when there to find out what is going on.
It took then about 30min to find out what the status of my repair was.

Then they told me that the bearings are worn out and needs to be replaced and I had to pay R230 for the repairs.
I asked them how can it be bearings if the sander does not come on at call, it does not make any sense.

But I the decided to pay the money and get it repaired because I need the sander.
Then the lady behind the counter did not know how to do that, she then called someone else and then person also did not know how to do it.
She then called someone at another store, and that person also did not know how to do it, after an hour we still did not get it done because the people who work for game does not know what they are doing. I have spoken to a manager, she does not care….

Can I please have my money back so I can go to another store, so I can buy me a new sander. PLEASE, I'm gatvol…..

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Hisense fridge

I ordered a Hisense Fridge online on the 6th of October till today I haven't received it. Game has made no effort to contact me instead I am the one who has been calling Game to find out what is going on... only to be told today the truck was hijacked. Why was the Fridge not delivered to me during the time we agreed on in the first place. I have been calling Game but I feel they are not doing enough to ensure I get my order. I don't recommend anyone to buy anything from Game online

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Waiting for 3 weeks for refrigerator delivery

On the 28 September 2020 I was at game tygervalley to laybye fridge Celeste Titus assisted me on my first laybye I made a payment of R4450 on the 01.10.2020 I was in tygervalley again to pay the outstanding balance I didn't have the invoice with me again Celeste told she can not assist me without the invoice I had to call at home so I can get pictures of the invoice she told me that she can see the laybye but she can not see the payment of 4450 I made I was told to come back the following day they need to investigate. On the 02.10.2020 went back to the store with the papers they needed I paid R549.00 which was the outstanding balance and I was told on Saturday the 03.10.2020 they will deliver my fridge. It was not delivered I had to call again I was told that the drivers were on strike and that I should no worry it will be delivered that week I made a call on the 05.10.2020 on the 19.10.2020 I was told the system shows the fridge has been delivered they will check and call again I had to call them on 20.10.2020 I spoke to Vincent who told me they are now closing he will call me the following day after waiting on the phone being promised call back and no one actually calls back I've wasted time and money trying to sort this out the service is horrible and no one actually cares. I'll never ever purchase at game again. The people I've been speaking to are not helpful at all.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Fraud

I am very disappointed with game as a whole... There was a dispute on my account and I opened a fraud case with them in february 2020.. Today is the 20th of october and i'm still being told that it hasn't been resolved.. Every time I go to game jabulani both the ladies that work there always have an attitude about this and telling me to wait.. I mean its more than 8 months now and there is still no feedback. May I please be contacted asap as this situation is very frustrating for me. My card is blocked and can't even use it and i'm being told to just wait... Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Service / unethical

Good day, I johan mare, tel no [protected], have an account with game store with acc no [protected]. We received the statement on the 10th of march 2020 wit outstanding balance and payment amounts due. We settled the account in full on the 13th march 2020. Game however kept on adding other amounts to the account and upon querying this they said we must ask for the account to be closed. This we did and can be heard on their telephone recordings as they said the calls are recorded. The following month another amounts has been added on the account. We have send mails on the 7th of august to em_mdd_game_and_dion without receiving any reply. Again we send a mail on the 9th of august 2020 to rcs collections without any response. Rcs contacted me two or three times whereby I explain the situation but then again no response or any action to settle this dispute. If game take from each person r40 per month and by ignoring their outcry this is surely fraud and theft from the customers. We need help as we went in to a store today to try and solve this but again with no luck. Game also show on our credit profile that monies are outstanding which affects our future and it is actually game that is dishonest and have malicious intentions with all of this.

Please help.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Bad

I bought a samung j4 on the 26th august 2020 from game in paarl. I am not happy about this on sunday the 13th september the phone stucked on the power off/restart button. I took the phone immediately the monday to game paarl and handed it in for assessment as the phone is only 3 weeks old. Now vodacom service centre tells me the phone needs and software update and will be back next week. I am not happy at all assessment means that you assess the phone and if fault is found I can either repair, exchange or refund. Now everyone is giving me the run around I am not at all happy about this. I want a new cellphone as a 3 week old phone giving so much problems. I am so ever sorry I bought a phone at game on vodacom if I knew the service is so pathetic I would never of bought this phone.

I bought a laptop (online) at Game Galleria in November 2019 (Black Friday). The laptop stopped working. Unfortunately my daughter lost the slip. I went to the store (2nd August) with the laptop and they were unable to assist. I gave them my store card number for easy reference, since I paid with my card. up until today I am waiting for a call from Game, My daughter dont have a laptop for her studies. its very frustrating...

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Cell phone purchase online

On 10 June 2020 I purchased a phone online for delivery. The send me a message that the phone will be dispatched on 12 June 2020. Nothing was delivered on that day and after waiting another week we decided to call them and cancel the order. Game customer service said that we have to do 2 emails where we must do in writing the cancellation and email them. We did it exactly the way they want it and phone them to see if they did receive the cancellation... which they confirmed it. After promising that the money will be paid back in to our account after 5 working days, we still to date did not received the money. I have been phoning In 8 times in total and all they said is that a woman Rene will contact us. I am so discusted in Game online stores and disappointment.
Nobody of Game is interested In helping us. We waited already over 2 months now and still waiting for any answers.
I hope someone can help!

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za hisense 55" 4k uled-b8000 55b8000uw smart tv

I made a cash payment of R 7999 99 on that particular tv model on 24 07 2020 but on day of purchase there wasn't stock available on that model and I understood but anyway promised to order one for me
It has been 3 weeks but nothing has been forthcoming and been fed so many excuses and I eventually cancelled the deal and demand a refund on 15 08 2020 and regrettably so since I wanted specifically that particular model but I leave the door open to revive the deal within reasonable time frames

Good day, on the 26 june 2020 I bought a top loader 13kg washing machine that was on sale and paid for it the same day. I have been making follow ups with game and each time there were different stories then after month on the 29 juy 2020 I was informed that the machine will be delivered but on the 03 august 2020 I received another email that I will be refunded because there is not stock anymore. I am a bit confused because when I ordered there was stock and they promised to deliver but now they want to refund me. I am really dissappointed with the whole process, please assist me.

I bought a TV at game Jubilee mall last year November. But my TV is now broken nd unfortunately I've lost my proof of purchase. I have customer service nd was advised to take my TV to my nearest Game which is Hammanskraal, the service I received was poor nd the lady wasn't willing to listen to my problems since I didn't have slip and I am willing to to pay for the cost but poor service I received.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Service - incorrect order delivered

Incorrect order was delivered to me 27th July 2020 with no documents after sending an email cancelling and requesting a refund due to the order taking the 4 weeks and not getting any communication. I have called the call centre and was told to send an email with pictures of the incorrect order. On the 31st of July I was promised by Dwayne in complaints to call me back with a feedback. It has been a week no response I am still stuck with the device that has no documents.

on the 31/07/2020 I bought a HP Intel Celeron Laptop and I was buying it under the impression that it had a dvd writer but when I got home the product had leaflet that advised of a dvd writer but there was none. I am not happy because when I bought the laptop I had intentions to use the dvd writer. The product was missold as the add and the product in store had different features

I ordered a remote control on 30 June 2020 online, I followed up to find out when I will receive my order however no one could assist. On 27/07/2020 I received an email that my order is on the way. On 05/08/2020 I received an email that my order is cancelled. I then called Game and they told me that they have refunded me and that I will get my payment within 10-14 working days.

I am disappointed with the service provided and I do not want a refund I want my order that I ordered and informed me that it is on it's way.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Game vodacom contract

To the Manager, Game Lephalale,

On the 28th of July 2020 I went to Game Lephalale to get a Vodacom contract for an Acer laptop with a LTE router and 1GB of data for R349 per month. At first your Game Vodacom contract specialist was unwilling to help me and treated me extremely rudely. I find this unacceptable. I asked to speak to an in store manager and the issue was resolved.

Due to a typing error the paperwork for the contract could only be completed on the 29th of July 2020. On that day I went to the store to sign the contract and pay the once off fees as stipulated in the contract. At the till when a second game vodacom contract specialist was helping me to pay the upfront fees they were unable to scan the LTE router barcode that goes with the contract as the system stated that the router was not in stock. I was told I will be contacted when the issue is resolved.

On the 31st of July 2020 I returned to the store to ask for feedback as I have not been contacted with regards to the contract. On this day I was informed that Game Lephalale was trying to get the correct LTE router from Game Polokwane, but that Game Polokwane doesn't have stock.

On the 4th of August 2020 I went back to Game Lephalale as I have still not received feedback regarding the contract - please note that I have already signed the contract on the 29th of July 2020. I was then informed that the Game/Vodacom contract specialist that helped me sign the contract is currently in Polokwane to get the correct stock (On the 31st of July they did not have stock) and that it is an issue because two different routers have the same product code on the system.

With this I was told that they still cannot help me and that I have to wait till they contact me. After inquiring as to what will happen if they don't resolve the issue before the 6th of August 2020 as the deal will expire by then. The answer I got was that we will see what Game can do tomorrow and if they do not succeed in getting stock - tuff luck to me.

I find this completely unacceptable. I have signed a contract to only then be told that I cannot get the product that I signed for with little to no help on what the way forward will be.

I purchased a refrigerator online on the 28th of June 2020. Order No. : [protected]. Almost a month has past and I have not received delivery. I have sent multiple emails and have tried called their online support, only to get ghosted and placed on hold for prolonged periods. No one wants to assist me. If there are delays then communicate them, do not leave your customers in the dark. After receiving no Happiness with the online help. I went into the store to ask for assistance (Midlands Mall Branch), I was told that online sales is separate from them and they cant help me and even refused to call on my behalf and recommended that a apply for a refund. All I want is my purchase to be delivered.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Delivery of fully paid hisense 120l chest freezer

I bought a Hisense 120L Chest Freezer White H120CF (Order number [protected]) from Game online on Wednesday 8 July 2020 and paid in full including delivery (R2149.00).

On Sunday the 12th of july 2020 I received and email from game stating that my order was dispatched from their warehouse and is making its way to me. Even the status of my order on game online showed "dispatched" as from sunday evening.

On thursday the 16th of july 2020 I phone game customer care about 4 times and one phone call to their courier "dawn wing", after getting a new courier tracking number from game yesterday morning (g0080035691) and on the courier site it still cannot be found. I was told after 11h00 that they will phone me and no-one phoned me back. I phoned game customer care again and they had the nerve to tell me that my order was only dispatched yesterday afternoon from their warehouse and would be delivered by the following week.

On friday 17th of july 2020 I received a telephone call and was told my delivery from game has arrived, so with great anticipation me and my son went to the truck outside and… instead of the hisense 210 l freezer that I bought, I was given a samsung washing machine and the very same thing happened on the21st of july 2020, also a samsung washing maching machine, both times I did not sign for delivery and sent the item back with the courier. Now game is blaming the courier and the courier is blaming game stores.

It is now 17 days and after two wrong deliveries I still don't have my freezer, I spend almost a r1000 on telephone calls to customer care and their agents always promise to phone me back but never do. This constitutes fraud and I am at a point where I am going to open a case of fraud at the south african police. My game order number: [protected].

That is beyond pathetic and it is unacceptable, I will never buy from game again ever! I am furious and at this stage I strongly doubt that I am ever going to see that freezer!

"Your Order [protected] has been Cancelled"
I have ordered LG 8kg front load washing machine online on 8 July 2020 and on 20th July 2020 I received email saying the quoted above. Well I am not happy at all with this but there's nothing I can do. The worst thing game stores is doing now is keeping my money, no indication whatsoever as to when am I going to get my refund. That's is very unfair and very inconveniencing.
