I haven't bought a bag of Fritos Scoops in over a year until the other day when I was craving Fritos with Lipton Onion Soup Dip. But paying $5.49 for a nine and a quarter ounce bag of chips made from corn, to me, was and is insulting and outrageous! In case you all don't realise it, that price equates to $9.49 a pound, or the price of a pound of Black Angus Sirloin Steak or fresh Swordfish. That's for a product made of one of the cheapest and most abundant crops in America, corn! I am betting, even after shipping, the distributor's take, and the local grocer's take, you all still make an obsene profit on every bag sold.
But that's not why I'm writing. I'm writing because, when I opened the bag of Scoops I bought, I found half the bag full of the usual 1 1/2" by 2" Scoop chips and the other half filled with normal sized Fritos. I was pissed. Is this an intentional "Bait and Switch" on Frito-Lay's part, or was it a freak production mishap? I am so freaking dissapointed in what Frito-Lay has become. Your bags are now half filled with air. Your products, made from corn and potatoes, are insanely overpriced. And now the consumer doesn't even get what they pay so dearly for.

Recommendation: Check out the price per pound. For Corn Chips!
