Frigidaire frigidaire gas dryer

Frigidaire gallery dryer caught on fire

Model GLGR1042FS

s/n
XD71707067

Purchase date
05/09/2007

This gas dryer unit caught on fire on Nov 16, 2016, it is my belief it should be treated as a product defect issue, it really could have burned our whole building down, tenant informs that fire department stated it was lint inside a dryer cavity after the lint screen that caught on fire, that it was not the exhaust duct. It is my view this is serious and the public should be notified that this dryer can catch on fire on the inside of the dryer.

I called Frigidaire phone support on Nov 17, 2016 at [protected] and spoke with a supervisor Tonya #1763, she informed me since unit is out of warranty there is nothing Frigidaire will do to address my issue, I told her I think that is a mistake by Frigidaire for such a life safety issue and I believe Frigidaire may already know (and certainly by today November 17, 2016 they know from my call with them) about this product issue and has not informed the owners or the public. She said they have no recall information on this product. It doesn't sound like they will do anything, and it is my belief that the public needs to know. Check your Frigidaire gas dryer model number and investigate to determine if it might be a dangerous product. Overall, I believe I have had bad luck with Frigidaire appliances that include this, one of their washing machines, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator.

Frigidaire frigidaire gallery french door refrigerator fghb2844lfe / ice maker - back wall moisture

After finding information online today, 9/15/15, about the class action law suit against Electrolux/Frigidaire for faulty ice makers on this model FGHB2844LFE, and many others produced [protected], I would like to share my disappointing experience with Frigidaire and it's authorized service providers. Our model was manufactured in 2012, serial 4A24913502, but appears to have the same issue. It has been a year and a half since the first two service visits by authorized providers to try to diagnose the problem with our ice maker. One failed to diagnose. The other replaced the ice maker housing which had cracked during the ice overflow and told us should resolve the problem, but it did not. After the second attempt and several hundred dollars spent on parts & service, we gave up & began buying bagged ice. Finally in July 2016 we decided to try another authorized service provider to see if a third company could identify the problem with the ice maker. On 7/15/16, Appliance Man diagnosed moisture on back panel as the reason for the faulty ice maker, and also a bad freezer gasket. We were told Frigidaire would pay for the back panel kit insulation - part and installation - needed to resolve the back wall moisture issue. We paid for the replacement freezer gasket and installation. The parts arrived and were installed 8/29/16. As of 8/31/16, the ice maker was still not working so the technician returned & concluded we must have a bad inlet valve due to the extended period of non-use during the year and a half the ice maker & water dispenser were not working. He did not replace the inlet valve that day because we were not convinced that was the problem. We went out of town for an extended labor day weekend and when we returned, found our freezer FILLED with frost/ice crystals. We have NEVER had a problem with the freezer containing frost/ice crystals until now - after installation of the back panel insulation and the new freezer gasket. I reported this to Appliance Man and their technician returned on 9/12/16. On 9/12, he both removed and adjusted the freezer door and also discussed the situation by phone with a Frigidaire technician while completely disassembling & reassembling door and drawer mechanisms. He also used a hair dryer to melt all of the frost and to defrost the frozen reserve tank, which seemingly enabled the ice maker & water dispenser to begin working. The next day, 9/13/16, the ice maker was partially filled with frozen water (like a frozen pond - not ice cubes) and leaking water onto the floor through the door dispenser and along the inside back wall of refrigerator, and the freezer was already beginning to fill again with frost. In addition, two parts have now fallen from somewhere in the ice compartment into the ice reservoir. As of 9/14/16, the freezer is now FILLED with frost again and the ice maker has been turned off. The owner of Appliance Man, the only authorized servicer in two years of service calls to actually diagnose the back wall moisture and try to help us, spoke with me and said they will refund the monies paid thus far for their services because at this point, they do not know how to fix our refrigerator. This was the fourth service call in two months. Since the back panel kit was installed 8/29, the issues with this appliance have multiplied. We started out with a defective ice maker - now we have a defective ice maker, a leaking refrigerator & ice maker, and a freezer filled with frost. If your authorized service providers cannot repair your appliance, what do you suggest we do?
I have been in contact with Frigidaire customers service by phone and email and in short, I was told there is nothing they can do because we did not purchase extended warranty. I was also told to follow up with the service provider because their work is guaranteed for 30 days. Separately, I have posted these details to Frigidaire Facebook page, and a representative named Melinda has asked me to message her with refrigerator & contact details, which I have done today. I sincerely hope she will be more helpful than the other representatives I've dealt with thus far.
Thank you & kind regards,
Susan

Frigidaire frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator (2016)

Buyer beware! Our $1100 side-by-side refrigerator (Model: FGH52655PF5A) has developed an 8 inch crack on its right interior wall. We notified Frigidaire and a rep came to our home and took pictures. The pictures were e-mailed with a description to Frigidaire. We received a call the next day from the rep in our area. We were told the crack was cosmetic and an epoxy kit could be used to seal the crack. Independent refrigeration specialists told us this crack would affect the functioning even if "fixed". We could expect frost issues, additional moisture and even mold. This refrigerator was purchased at the end of December, 2015, but we did not receive delivery of it until mid-January, 2016. It is 8 months old and Frigidaire refuses to stand by their product. Our son, who originally purchased this product for us, recently contacted Frigidaire about this product to no avail.

Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator

Purchased a Frigidaire side-by-side model FFHS2311LWPA serial number 4A61414139 in April 2016. Had a repairman out on the refrigerator on May 6 and 10. The freezer side of the unit had ice/frost building up on the outer door and the ice maker ran water that would freeze at the entry point. Had a different repairman both times. Both times they used a hair dryer on the freezer door seal. Said that would fix the problem. Said nothing was wrong with the ice maker. This unit makes the most horrible noises I have ever heard. It bangs, chatters, pops, makes a scratching noise amongst other weird noises. Both repairmen said it is because the company no longer puts any insulation in the sidewalls. Is this true? If so, why is the price so high if it is an inferior product? I have had Frigidaire products in the past and never had a problem with them. I would like some satisfaction on this problem. I purchased the item as an appliance package since we moved into a new home and needed all new appliances. I purchased them from Lowes (Henderson, Texas) and the store manager refuses to accept any responsibility for the quality of the product.

Frigidaire refrigerator

Mr. Shaw, (Ceo of frigidaire / electrolux)

I will advertise this on my personal facebook page as well as my business page (To call attention... - to, practice of calling public attention to one's product)

Can I have everyone copy and paste this to frigidaire facebook page - so frigidaire thinks it's alright to take bad reviews down and delete the person who posted? We will make sure this review gets around cyber until something or someone calls this lady!

In august 2012 I bought a frigidaire model # fphn2899lf6 serial# 4a22709539 paid $3000.00 since that time it has failed 6+ times I purchased a extended service (That is now expired) had a service guy come out this weekend and was told there is a leak and its internal on top of it being internal its a sealed unit and this has probably been the problem from the start, refrigerator works fine for now until the rest of the freon leaks out freezer is cold but not freezing. Called frigidaire and explained to them what was going on and there response was we stood buy our agreement (One year) and I was pretty much on my own.. After more complaining with them on the phone agent shawntel made an offer she would give me 50% off on parts needed to fix the problem but I would have to pay for service. I thought this unacceptable as this is a sealed unit. I asked to speak to her supervisor she put me on hold came back and said her supervisor was busy and that she (Jennifer brown) would call me back in 1 or 2 days I asked if this was normal and she told me yes (Wow) all I can say is dont buy a frigidaire go to a company that will stand by there product no matter what! Maytag here I come

You see mr. Shaw i've done all I could do with making phone calls to frigidaire I even got a response from melinda (On facebook) asking me for all the invoices and that they would review them she never gave me a fax number or a e-mail to send

I know you can pull my information from serial number I would hope that you would have someone from your office call me so that I can explain what's been going on and do something about it!

Regards,
Lisa mora

Frigidaire refrigerator fgtr 2045qf1

Bought product 12/15. Knew immediately it was defective with ice cream melting & bread & ice cubes not freezing. Store refused to take it back (it was 3 days old) insisting I get Frigidaire authorized repairman. After EIGHT repair visits & several parts replaced product was still defective. In addition the refrigerator, after so many adjustments & parts replaced, began freezing our food. Many food items were discarded. Spoke to personnel at Frigidaire 13 times. They insisted on second & then third opinions. Repair tech phoned Frigidaire technical dept & their engineer said this model has been engineered for freezer compartment to only get down to span of 2-8 degrees F. Their own complaint dept & all other references state zero is the safe temperature for freezing food. Finally gave up trying to deal with Frigidaire/Electrolux, bought another brand, put in a dispute claim on master charge account, & learned today we won the dispute. I would NEVER buy another appliance from this company. Very frustrating & disappointing experience. Don't know how Frigidaire gets away with this.

Frigidaire dishwasher

My dishwasher caught fire almost 3 months ago. Thank God we were awake still or we would have lost the whole kitchen! The unit is less than 2 years old. Clearly not defective due to age. The fire was thankfully put out by our fire extinguisher, but also resulted in a big mess. I lost a day of work and pay due to the cleanup. Our first 2 attempts at reaching out to Frigidaire were met with belligerent customer service reps and supervisor. They wanted to charge us to come out and determine if it could be fixed. Spoiler alert: it can't. There is a big burn hole in the bottom of the machine. We took to social media and i got a response that they would wave the service fee and a rep came out a week later. He was barely at my house for 5 minutes and determined that the big melted bottom of the unit did indeed get that way via some sort of flames. He took pix and left. We then had to wait a few days and go thru a few service reps before we got an answer. They determined it could be repaired and were going to cover the damage. We called the service number they told us to call and the service company said it could not be fixed. But Frigidaire said it could. So they battled it out back and forth for a couple weeks while in the mean time i am continuing to get dish pan hands and no solid answers. Plus our sink disposal isn't working due to the fire department cutting the power to that line as it is same as dishwasher and we didn't want live wires sitting while we waited for repair, replacement, etc. So my dishpan hands are also reaching into the disposal at least once a day to clear stray items so the water doesn't back up while we are hand washing. We finally got call last week: Frigidaire agrees the unit can't be fixed and are going to replace it...and we have to pay for delivery and installation! Back to square one. Frigidaire: you all are a huge dissappointment!

Frigidaire our new refrigerator broke 5 times in 6 months!!!

This was just a beginning of our journey into Frigidaire hell!
We purchased our brand spanking new refrigerator from Best Buy. In the first two weeks after delivery, the thermostat stopped working and the door handle fell off. After the delayed repair of the handle, the next month the cooling fan stopped working, and then motor and then the handle, again, and then the motor, and so on...

I don't mean to sound snarky, but the Frigidaire customer service center is a joke. I don't know who is hiring those people, but apparently they don't care about the customer, or repeat business, at all. They very politely offer to send a technician to your home... in about a week, if the schedule allows it! Then one must ask for the supervisor, go through the entire argument again, and maybe if you are lucky that person might reduce the waiting time to 3 or four days.

Now, please explain to me how am I supposed to feed my family without a cooling device in Florida? We are talking about the most basic need of every family in the World, but I expect a lot more from Frigidaire, an American Company! Instead, I have to throw away hundreds of dollars in food while waiting for sub-contracted technicians who often don't bring the right parts, or tools or whatever and wait for more weeks to have a normal life.

I don't know why you have a policy that denies replacement of a clearly faulty product in the first place. You are endangering my family, and I will find some way to get accountability for this, if anyone is hurt. In the meantime, we are still waiting for another repairman to come and re-fix something that should work for years, not days. Shame on you!

If you decide you would like to fix this, you need to get us a new unit, or at least refund my money, let me buy a new one and take your POS back where it came from when it is delivered and I have something my family can depend on.

Frigidaire dryer

On January 30th my dryer went up in flames, the fire dept. Said electrical inside dryer.thank god we were home but got alto of smoke damage. Now February 24th and still in motel. Nerves are shot, had renters INS. But still waiting to hear from them. Is there anything that can be done about this? Just before the fire broke out we heard a loud thump, ran into the laundry room and found one of the main wires going into the dryer burnt off, immediately unplugged dryer from wall, within about a minute or so so the whole dryer was engulfed in flames. Fire dept found no lint said machine was clean. The dryer was about 6 yrs. Old.

Frigidaire dishwasher

My name is William Robbins and I live in Richmond, VA. I am contacting you today to voice my concern about the course of events transpiring over the past month. On August 9th 2015 my wife and I purchased a brand new Frigidaire Dishwasher – Model Number FFBD2411NS6B. Frigidaire is a brand we were somewhat familiar with, as we had purchased 2 mini fridges previously. I work in the construction industry as a Project Manager and have also purchased the brand on multiple occasions. Up to this point in time, Frigidaire was a name we used and trusted.

Roughly 3 months after purchasing the aforementioned dishwasher, we began having problems. On or about November 15th (roughly two weeks before Thanksgiving) the dishwasher appeared to have no power – we could not operate the machine or get any lights/settings to work. I spent 6 years in the United States Navy working on electronic missile systems, so, attempting to figure out why there was no power coming into our dishwasher seemed like a pretty menial task. I measured the power coming into the machine at the base and we had electricity. Next, I checked the door switch/latch. The latch was stuck and therefore, the switch in the latch was not allowing power to the motherboard. Problem solved….I thought.

On or about January 10th, we again were having the same issue with the machine. This time, though, I placed a call into Frigidaire requesting service. I was told I had to wait until January 19th for service. Having 2 kids and both parents working full time (including extra-curricular activities for the kids) makes a 10-day wait for a dishwasher repair much more daunting than the face value of a 10-day wait. The service technician stated to me when scheduling the appointment, this model dishwasher is notorious for having issues with the motherboard and would order one immediately – as to have it in hand when he arrives for our scheduled appointment. On January 19th the service technician came to my home (I had to take off work to meet him) and diagnosed the problem as a faulty motherboard. Unfortunately, the Frigidaire “shipping” department (as told by the technician) had yet to respond to the order request and the part was not in-hand.

As a result of the part not being readily available (technician indicated normally it is), on Wednesday January 19th, 10 days of using paper products and washing dishes when time was available, the Frigidaire dishwasher was still not working. The technician received the part the following day and was unavailable to install the part before heading home to North Carolina (as previously mentioned, I live in Virginia). The replacement part (motherboard) was left on my front porch for me to install Friday afternoon. I have absolutely no issue with doing so….problem is, the motherboard did NOT fix the machine.

On Friday January 21st, I installed the motherboard. The install was straightforward – as you could not put any connections where they didn’t belong. After the dishwasher was put back together, I attempted to use it. The attempt was unsuccessful. I placed another call into the service department requesting service. This time, I was told I would have to wait until early February (2nd) for another trouble call. Yet again, the technician came to my home (and yet again having to take off work to meet him) to repair the dishwasher. This time, the repairman deemed the other motherboard faulty. And AGAIN, he was not able to get the parts to repair the machine while in Virginia – so the parts were shipped to my home, left on my front porch (for the 2nd time) and I had to do the install. I immediately installed the parts and, to my surprise, the dishwasher still did not work. So, at this point, Frigidaire (and Electrolux) has paid for a technician to come to my house twice, paid for 3 different motherboards, and the problem was still not solved.

I again called into the call center to request ANOTHER repair. The technician could not schedule an appointment with me until Friday February 19th. I had to take off of work for the third time to meet the “repairman” (I use that term very loosely as evidenced by the multiple trips to my home and the problem still existing), where he diagnosed the problem as:

“Some electricity was bleeding into the drain pump causing the problem.”

I got him to show me what he did to fix the issue, which was simply pulling the power connecting to the pump and putting it back in.

I’m not a dishwasher repairman, but, something was obviously causing the power leakage to the drain pump (if that was the problem at all), and to merely pull the power and reinsert and think this would magically not happen again is, in my estimation, foolish. Nevertheless, the dishwasher began working on Friday February 19th.

Dishes were ran in the unit on seven (7) different occasions over the course of the next 5 days. Last night, I went to start the dishwasher, and, what do you know……NO POWER! I have a dishwasher that is 6 months old and has worked for approximately 2/3 of the time I’ve owned it. I am now going to have to call into the Frigidaire (Electrolux) call center once again to request a repair.

I WILL NEVER OWN OR PURCHASE ANOTHER ELECTROLUX OR FRIGIDAIRE PRODUCT. I will never let anyone I know or anyone I have the opportunity to discourage buy, rent, or own one of your products. As I mentioned before, I am in the construction industry and I have had, do have and will have the prospect of purchasing products Electrolux/Frigidaire sell, however, I can guarantee not one penny of my earned money or my company’s money will contribute to the absolutely dreadful products Electrolux makes or endorses. To make the experience even more horrifying, your customer service representatives are putrid. I was left on hold, told there’s nothing which could be done, told on MULTIPLE occasions I would be followed up with and wasn’t, hung up on, and given sob stories from your call center reps about times when they didn’t have a refrigerator (trying to compare the situation to mine, I guess). I would love to go on and on about the atrocious customer service I have received, however, I cannot give my frustration it’s due justice by typing out the vile “customer service, ” (very loose use of that term), Electrolux/Frigidaire has provided.

Going forward, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, reaching out to my local news’ stations for their consumer alert portions of broadcast, posting my experience on every social media outlet available, and putting a few of the recorded phone calls I have on YouTube for the world to hear the gross negligence in which this corporation operates with. I do not expect to hear from anyone in the Electrolux/Frigidaire corporation – as this is the guise in which the company operates under, however, if there is anyone willing to be accountable and explain how operating a business like this could possibly be profitable, I have included a copy of my business card. This experience has been a real learning experience for my family and I. Electrolux/Frigidaire is a brand I will always associate and ensure everyone I know will associate unaccountability, unreliable products and an utter disdain for.

Frigidaire microwave / frigidaire is not passionate about their products or customers

Frigidaire refuses to answer the question, how much do I have to deal with before it gets replaced. Soon it will be longer it has not worked vs it worked. There latest comment going on 7 weeks (Your file was received by our Leadership Team, and I have been advised that, at this time, we must wait for the part to become available. I sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience and frustration. )

Frigidaire induction stove top, microwave oven combo

My husband and I are disgusted with the service and support that has been offered to us with our Frigidaire appliances. Mr. Keith McLaughlin, President and CEO of Frigidaire, you should be ashamed that none of your customer service reps seem to know who you are. When we called the call center and asked to speak to you, they inquired if you were a technician that had been helping us in the past. It is truly embarrassing, coming from a corporate setting myself, that your employees have no clue who runs the very company they work for. Hence, the overwhelmingly terrible customer service you offer. How can they provide anything but horrible service, if the training comes from the top. We are very angry and are planning to take this situation to wherever we need to to have this problem resolved. You cannot continue to treat your customers with such indifference and without empathy. We have missed countless days of work, have spent money we didn't have on countless meals and all you can do for us, is send out another technician to see what the problem is. The problem is YOUR COMPANY! I will NEVER EVER purchase another product from your company again, and I can assure that neither will anyone I come in contact with. This is just the beginning of me and my husbands campaign against Frigidaire via the internet and local news channels. We have been trying for 3 months to patiently await a change or a resolve, yet all we continue to get is robotic meaningless responses. Now its our turn. Good luck, we will not go away quietly as we work very hard for our money. Anthony and Ivette Marino.

I am still in the middle of wasting a lot of time to reach someone in customer service.

After only 4 years our above the range microwave oven Model FFMV1645TS keeps

blowing out the fuse. I am so disgusted with big business.

My handy husband replaced the fuse trying out various amperage up to 20 and

designated for microwave ovens to no avail too many times to count.

The last one does not even last one use.

How can responsible companies throw defective machines on the market when

environmental pollution is the specter on the wall?

I want a replacement with a working microwave oven which should last 20 years

at least.

Money will not even buy CEOs a new earth. They might shoot themselves

to another planet.

Frigidaire vissani 10. cf top freezer refrigerator

Purchased from Home Depot in November of 2013. Two months running and then just died. Warranty covered repair service. Ran for about a month and died again. Pattern continued throughout one year warranty period. Service technician kept replacing different parts over the course of about 4 visits, and the last time said that he figured he had replaced everything possible. Died about a week after warranty ended. No help from MC Appliance, the Service Provider. Left unplugged for a day, it restarted when plugged back in. It continued a pattern of running for 22 to 38 days and then dying, only to restart after being unplugged for a short time. Pathetically, this went on for about a year until it's recent last gasp.

Frigidaire refrigerator

I purchased a Frigidaire stove and refrigerator this year 2015. I have had the refrigerator serviced six times. The problem is the same, as the refrigerator freezer keeps icing up. The employees at Frigidaire have not been helpful. They have kept telling me to have the refrigerator serviced. I do not feel I should keep, or have a new refrigerator repaired continuously. I was told I cannot have a new refrigerator. At this time, I do not want to have any Frigidaire products in my home. The resolution for me, would be that Frigidaire not only apologize to me for these issues, but also refund all the costs to me for their appliances. I have six work orders, all dated this year, and by the same company that has repaired their product, RSI Appliance Service [protected]; repair man is Chris.

Frigidaire refrigerator, stovetop, washer. microwave

We recently purchased our current home. It was extensively renovated by the prior owners 3 years ago. All new frigidaire appliances were installed including washer, dryer, stove top, microwave, refrigerator and dish washer. In the four months we have lived here the stove top failed and had to be replaced, the washer failed and has to be replaced, the refrigerator is making loud humming noises indicating probable near term failure and the display on the microwave is fading into invisibility. Oh, and before it failed, the washer put out a nasty stink of mold and mildew that has defeated all attempts to clean it. This company is a disgrace.

Frigidaire upright freezer

Floor burn in spot where freezer motor is... Motor is to close to the floor... We had it about five or six years and from the start it was not in good working order. Kept smelling something burning but could not find it... Exterminator move the freezer and that's when I saw the big burn.. Called and reported it to risk management and they said I had to pay 321.00 for a warranty and repair.. We agree because we just bought the freezer and could not afford another plus the big burn in our floor. Have been tryin to get this resolved for some months and finally talked to.. Latoya keely whom was the best of customer service representative. I do not feel like we should have to pay for this... No freezer should burn your floor or go bad in five yrs. We got other frigidaire appliances that we had over 25 yrs. No problems with those. I look for someone to make this right. We have paid to have repairs but this smell have been coming and going on in here at least a year after we got this freezer. We just didn't know what the sickening burn smell was.

Frigidaire upright freezer

I purchased a frigidare upright freezer. When they delivered the freezer they handed me a package with the key inside. I found the key is plastic. I contacted customer service and was basically told that's what comes with it sorry. Plastic will break and then how will I get into the freezer? You're telling me a multi million dollar company can not afford to supply metal keys? This is unacceptable. I will not purchase another frigidare appliance and will search for a different freezer. I will be returning this one. It's sad that a company this large shows so little appreciation for its customers.

Frigidaire gas dryer motor fire

Our Frigidaire Gas Dryer caught fire. Luckily we were home.
Sept, 29, 2015

It was model # XD81005223

The lint trap, vent and hose were kept clean religiously.

The area in front of the motor had some lint build up, but I could tell from the smell, it was electrical.

Fire department came and put out the fire, after they pried the cabinet apart.

There is no customer access to clean the area around the motor.

We requested they refund the cost of the dryer. ( that did not include the cost of the clothes lost, the smoke damage to home, connections charges, etc.)

Will see them in court ( in our hometown)
