Food Network review: Double standard

This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I know how chefs, judges and hosts react when someone has hurt themselves and drawn blood.

Twice now, on The Kitchen, I've seen a close up of Alex Guarnaschelli's well-chewed fingers, and both times blood appeared around the cuticle. If it's not acceptable for anyone else (rightly so), it shouldn't be acceptable for her. She's cooking, assisting and serving with bloody stubs. Actually, it's sickening.
