Family Dollar kidgets diapers size 5

I bought a big case of your brand of diapers hoping that they would hold up and Be a great diaper for the value. But instead I got nothing but rashes and messes. I tried them for 3 days and all 3 days my son ended up with gel all over him. Once was at night and it was full, the next was in the morning and wasn't even a full diaper, and the last one was just now and he had only peed one small time. I have used your brand before with my other children years ago but I am very highly disappointed in your product now. I will never buy these again and now I'm out 20 dollars because I can't even use these! I hope someone from your company will contact me and attempt to make this right. As I am a very loyal customer to your store in general.

Family Dollar manager

I bought a stick of dove deodorant at this location at 3:40 pm. after leaving the store I noticed that it wasn't an antispirant deodorant thatch use.i returned back to return the unopened product the manager on duty told me that she couldn't return it because she don't do returns on personal products because she don't know if I used it or not.i opened the top and assured her that I didn't not use the prooduct. I then asked to speak to a supervisor. the manager on duty refused to allow me to speak with her supervisor and refused to give me information on how i can contact her supervisor. i was really offened and upset that spent money at this location and could
not switch the product for an antiperspirant;so I was basically waisted my money on a product I couldn't use. this incident happened on August 20. product was bought at 3:40 pm. I went to return it at around 4:10 pm at the same location 2621 my Ephraim avenue in Camden New Jersey

Family Dollar Sales Associate

NANCY! The sales associate. Too many times I have gone in the store and she is very rude and makes me feel stupid for asking questions.
I have witnessed her do the same to others.
This morning I decided to sign up for your app and use it for the first time. She didn't want to help me- told me it's my problem not hers that it wasn't in the system.
She does not belong in customer service, please address this, at least tell her that there are complaints.
Maybe she will think about it and at least try to be nice.
She is representing your company.
Thank you,
Julie

Family Dollar $20 dollar theft from employee

I went to this store around 4:20 on 8/16... We bought some tp a birthday card and a dollar gift... My total was $12 and some change, I handed the cashier 2 $40's so that I could break one into 2 $10's and she puts them into her register... She proceeds to give me the change from my purchase and told me I had to give her the $20 to break it. I told her I did and she said no... well we asked the manager on duty and he said the he would have to call his boss because he didn't know how.. I told him I had to run my son into town and hopefully by the time I get back they will have had a chance to look at the footage...
Nearly 45 min later I called on my way and he HUNG UP ON ME! After that come back and the manager on duty asked me what I said to her because she quit... I don't think it ever occurred to him that she may have quit because she stole... The only thing I said was that I spent $120 earlier in the day and I know I had $80 from the change... I'm the type to give the cashier back money if they miscount, I guess not everybody thinks that way...
At this point (I have it on video) he tells me that if I want my $20 I'm going to have to sue them and to get the "[censored]' out of his store!

Family Dollar bathroom

Why in the world would public not be allowed to use restrooms while shopping here? If you have an emergency and are refused access it will likely cause an unfortunate accident.
If it's such an issue require a token purchase to those that need to use facilities.
This is a reason not to shop at this business.
The young employees on duty were talking amongst themselves and there were very few customers in this store. It's rude and extremely poor customer service.

You have to get the store whos roster you're showing on to transfer you in Lawson to the new store you're at. Your previous manager must have transferred you to the wrong store. I had this issue where an employee showed on my roster from Ohio in VA. I called the manager at that store because I didn't know where he was supposed to beand didn't want to terminate him

Family Dollar customer service

On 8/09/19 when shopping in the store a store employee accused me of stealing. She came out yelling she caught me on the camera. I was embarrassed, mortified, and enraged. She said I put something in my purse. My purse was open I showed her there was nothing in my purse, she the said I put it in my bra, if you want to see my breast then look at your surveillance cameras. I believe I was accused because I'm black. I was threatened with her calling the police. Told her to call them. I'm contemplating a lawsuit. After all the commotion she comes with a pack of koolaid individuals ( it is a myth all black people don't drink koolaid). I will be contacting a attorney. You can contact me at [protected]@gmail.com

I admit that I did steal. I have talked to my lawyer, they talked to their lawyer. We are in agreement that if I admit that I was shoplifting that they won't press charges. They agreed that if I did not shop in their stores for a year that I would not be charged. So here I am admitting that I did shoplift, and hid the items in my bra. They have me on camera.

Family Dollar the assistant manager david ❌

There's a assistant manager name David at the family dollar located on Clinton st Hempstead. This man is not what when need to be serving the Hempstead community or any community for that matter.. last night he was so so disrespectful to a customer using racial slurs calling her names very cruel to this customer just because she wanted to used the shopping cart to take her heavy items out to her car.. her Car was parked directly in front of the store. He had a line full of customers and he jump from behind the counter in front of the lady's cart and told her no she couldn't take the cart instead of asking her does she needs help. He called her the "N"word this is unacceptable this man needs to be accountable for his actions and truly doesn't know what customer service mean and should not being working under management using racial slurs "The N word" to any body. he even went as far to call the cops on this woman as if she stole something just unnecessary behavior he's very nasty and disrespectful something needs to be done.. He should'nt be serving our neighborhood

Family Dollar store manager

My name is Katie Williams, a Family Dollar associate of store 12302 in Arlington Texas, off of Arkansas Lane and Sherry Street. I am an assistant manager and need to come forth with all of the corruption inside the store. I have a lot so there will be no specific order to how I list them all.
1.) First, I seem to be the only manager whoever takes tags down and puts them up regardless of the shift or day of the week. No one else ever seems to take that responsibility.
2.) Often the store manager (Faron Jennings) tries to call me and other people to come in a couple of hours earlier than they are scheduled, just so he can leave earlier always with a different excuse every time.
3.) Sometimes when he decides to give more hours to one person, he will call or text to tell another person to come in later than they were scheduled, resulting in the loss of hours. Faron is notorious for making unfair scenarios like this.
4.) We are not allowed to call in to work at all, or leave early like he does often, not even for emergencies. At one point I was on the register while another employee was stocking and Faron was in the office. I was receiving calls and texts from family that I was about to lose a close relative. I needed to call and say my good-byes but Faron would not allow the other employee to take my place on register even for a few seconds. By the time I was off the register she had already died. The store was not busy on this day. Recently Faron has started crossing more such lines and holding the store even more loosley together.
5.) Another cashier who had been demoted in the past is currently still a cashier. However she still walks around with the store manager keys on her person and I have witnessed her coming up to the front acting as a manager when other cashiers call for assistance. At times she even tries to tell us how stuff is supposed to be run.
6.) I don't know if this part helps, but I do know that Faron would always emphasized the importance of the door seal to everybody and always blame it on everybody else but he would always have an excuse every time he left it without a seal. He has left the door without a seal at least five or six times I can think of and then when we brought it up he always said "I could swear it was on there!"
7.) Recently Faron talked to a new associate and asked if she would be willing to walk up the street to the bank, which is a good 25 to 30 minute walk, with the store deposit which consisted of a good couple thousand dollars. That same day, he asked a morning shift associate to come up during the night at which time she was off the clock and drive the deposit. That did not happen but the fact that he asked her to do it is still not okay. This happens all the time because he does anything he can to make others carry his workload as much as possible so he can do minimal work. There are many other stories that needs to be shared from the store but I will end this message here at the most recent unprofessional act displayed.
8.) We currently have 97 applications in counting for this store. Faron skipped over all of them to recently higher two of his "wrestling buddies" even though we're low on payroll. We are so low on payroll that some Associates get one or two days a week and sometimes even a whole week without shifts. This is happened to more than one associate, many times. But now we have two new employees who aren't managers, they are not cashiers, but they are taking hours apparently just to stock. Not only is that bad enough but the first day that I meet them I learned that they gossip behind our backs. The first words one of them had said to me was "Hi, you must be Katie. I heard you were the pissed off and negative one."
I didn't say or do anything nor have I ever taken action, but there needs to be an investigation and a removal of store manager within the store. And his wrestling buddies need to go too.
I'm taking the time to expose Faron because he does not need to be in charge of a store with his lack of responsibility and his need to gossip like a High School drama girl.

Family Dollar item exchange

I attempted to return and exchange a shirt that I purchased for my daughter, but she didn't like it. I had already thrown away the receipt, so I simply intended to exchange the item. The employee at the counter, Debra, acted aggravated because I didn't have a receipt and stated she couldn't exchange anything over $10. The price of the shirt, with the price tag on it, was $10. So, she said she would go ahead and allow it this time.

I didn't see another shirt that I thought my daughter would like, so I continued to shop for school supplies for my granddaughter, who was with me in the store. I stood at the counter for a couple of minutes until another employee came walking up from the back of the store and yelled for Debra, telling her the woman with the shirt was up there. Debra starts walking up, looking at the items I had. She rudely said I couldn't exchange for food. I replied that I didn't have food...I had school supplies, a 2 liter of soda and a pack of gum. She then informed me that I had an attitude and that she can't exchange anything over $5...she originally stated $10, and that she just being nice by going ahead and doing the exchange at all. She was yelling all of this as she stood over by the aisles and in front of other customers, including my 11 yr old granddaughter. So, now, I do have an attitude about the entire situation. Debra proceeded to walk back into an aisle and I could hear her talking about me to another customer. Debra is VERY lucky I had my granddaughter with me today.

I read your return policy and I should've been able to exchange my item with no problems or having to deal with a very rude employee. I frequent this store several times a week, every week, and will not go back as long as Debra works there. I will be sure to inform everyone I know as well as post on social media community groups, of the poor standards pertaining to this store and Debra's rude customer service procedures...which obviously violated Family Dollar's return policy.

Family Dollar poor store manager

My name is Brian Silva. I formerly worked at family dollar store 12302 in arlington texas. It is relatively new. I helped open this store as of this year. There are numerous incidents and wrongdoings I have seen and experienced in which need to be brought to light.
For starters, all employees were scolded for the door tag being an issue ever since the store started. Faron, the store manager, got on to us every time about the importance of putting on a door tag after it was opened. However I can think of at least four instances off the top of my head that I can recall in which he forgot about the door tag and left. Also at least twice I've suffered along with many employees while he gave himself both days of the weekend off. And of course one of the other assistant managers has Sundays off every time and Faron never works Saturdays, which leaves the rest of us to scramble and NEVER have weekends off and pick up slack and other various tasks that could have been otherwise balanced. This still occurs. Another Injustice I was not fond of was that we were never allowed to call in. Regardless of how much time we gave in advance or what emergency came up, once the schedule was made only Faron was allowed to leave and get people to come early or late. Sometimes he would just flat-out text and say that he gave away our shift so we don't need to come in. At one point I told him I was puking sick and can't come in because of food poisoning; and his response was "just come in and stock, you won't put on a register but you need to be here".
My one-pass coworker tried calling in and had to go to the doctors, and he still tried to make her come in. On another side note, when I asked if another associate could cover my shift, I was met with "managers cannot pick up cashier shifts." However anytime a cashier calls in, even to this day, my girlfriend who is an assistant manager is one of the first people he will text or call to try to cover their shifts. Faron goes back on his word like this often. I would also like to add another occurrence during my employment. When working as a cashier, stocking during one shift, my girlfriend Katie was an assistant manager and on a register. Faron was in the office. Katie was receiving family calls saying that her Mimi had minutes to live so she should call and say her goodbyes. Faron would not let me take her place on the register even though it was not busy at all. By the time she had gotten off the register, her Mimi had already passed away and we were livid to say the least.
Recently my mother got hired at this Family Dollar. Now back when i was employed, Faron clearly stated that I was not allowed to get off the same day as Katie for the funeral because of the fact that I was not family. We weren't married, and though I was close to the Mimi, I understood that policy. However when my mother interviewed and was hired on, Faron said that with her experience she was clearly manager material. The only reason he wouldn't make her a manager is because "Katie is here and y'all are family." Now somebody tell me how my mother is related to my girlfriend whom I am not legally married or bound to. Lastly, as a final note, when I helped to start the store with a corporate guy who's name is Daniel, he was in charge of choosing who gets to earn their way as a permanent employee within the store. I was told I was to become an assistant manager---in fact Katie and I both earned our way to that title in the days that it took to begin the store. Instead, Faron decided to make me have an open availability but never made me a manager and a made katie a manager in the matter of days.
All of my cases here come to the same conclusion:
that Faron does not need to be a store manager in charge of so much power.

Family Dollar store manager

My name is Angelica and I am a former employee of the family dollar store 12302 in Arlington, Texas. I would like to leave a complaint because I'm hearing that even after leaving this store, these events keep happening.
When I was employed there, we were never allowed to call in, not even in real emergencies. One time I woke up with severe migraines and I tried to call in the morning before my night shift. The response that I was met with was "Take an Advil I need you here." It happened again when I was at a doctor and I even had a doctor's note when I told him I had to go to a hospital so I had to call in. The only sympathy response that I got was bring in hospital documentation. Myself and many other employees have had countless repetitions of similar incidents. Another issue that needs to be brought up is that I have never been told the door code to the office as a cashier, as I understand it is for managers. Then I learned that despite the already obvious favoritism towards the new manager named Michael, I learned that Michael let another cashier know the door code, and the store manager just swept it under the rug. Another instance of proof of how loosely the store manager operates is him turning a blind eye to the chain of command. I understood my place as a cashier. However, when I was there (and apparently still), a new cashier by the name of Willie (who is from another store and demoted from an AM to cashier), constantly tries to overstep boundaries. She walks around and still tries to tell everybody how to run the store, even the AMs, and even carries the keys and opens drop boxes.

These are just a few examples of what goes on within this store.
My main point is that the store manager Faron does nothing and none of us have any faith in him and he needs to be removed as a store manager.

Family Dollar returning items bought same day, with receipt

I went to return some clothes I bought earlier today with the original tags and receipt, and Tierra rudely picked up the clothes and smelled them in front of a line of customers and said 'Oh no. I can't take these back. No one will want to wear these now. They reek of whatever cheap perfume you wear boo' and then snickered. I replied 'Are you serious? I just tried these on that's it. And I have the receipt. I bought them today. That is not the store' s policy.' She continued to smell them and humiliate me and said she would not take them back. I also brought a straightener I had purchased two days ago that had a short in it with the receipt and she said she didn't know what to do, that I'd have to come back Sunday for the manager. I am so utterly humiliated! She was looking behind me shaking her head and laughing with the other black girls (I'm white) and really made me feel like it's because I'm a white girl. She immediately dismissed my returns and demeaned me. I want my money back and I want her reprimanded or dismissed! It was so bad that a customer that saw it, pulled up beside me in her car and asked if I was okay and that she could not believe how she treated me and that she would not have let her get by with that. I shop here often, but I will not return as long as she is employed! This is not good customer service. I am always polite and very nice to anyone I meet but she nearly brought me to tears. I was so mad and humiliated.

Family Dollar service

I walked into this family dollar about 945 maybe a little after and I was very polite and ask the lady I have about 10 minutes she looked at me with her rude look and said more like five minutes so I said well I don't think I need to come here then because you have a major attitude problem and walk out of the store first of all you don't know me you have no reason to be rude to me you are a so-called manager but with the attitude and the rudeness that you gave me you need customer service classes or to be demoted from being a manager at a manager does not talk like you did to a customer i've worked in customer service for over 25 years i've dealt with customers for over 25 years i've actually worked at family dollar as well i've never once in my life was as rude as you was I will be calling corporate office and making a major complaint over this because there is no need for this rude as to be demoted from being a manager or a manager does not talk like you did to a customer i've worked in customer service for over 25 years i've dealt with customers for over 25 years i've actually worked at family dollar as well i've never once in my life was as rude as you was I will be calling corporate office and making a major complaint over this because there is no need for this rude. I said nothing wrong to you I was very compliant when I walked in the door and the way that you came at me was very unladylike and manager like.. Thank god I did not spend my money with your store because if I would've got to that register I probably would've just threw all my [censored] right back at you. You have no reason to be that rude to a customer you need to take some discipline classes and some manager classes and customer service.. So I don't recommend anybody going to this family dollar when this lady is working her name is erica.. Thanks everyone have a blessed evening

Family Dollar general manager can't perform her job

I use to work for this manager and she kept putting me down and cutting my hours to only 5 or 6 hours per week, only to unload her trucks for her. After that being said, then she hired a new cashier and gives her almost as many hours and the assistant managers get and only giving me and the other boy 5-6 hrs per week. I think this woman has a problem with male figures and only wants females to work for her! She tried to get me to work off the clock one time said, she would pay me on the week coming up I refused to do it. She has worked some off the clock and claims she is working and is not in the store of she is occupied with the phone on the sidewalk smoking more than working that is why our trucks NEVER got done and I QUIT!

Family Dollar store employee

Today's date is July 31, 2019. I am deaf and I read lips and understand what people are saying sometimes. Anyway, last week, my sister went inside with a backpack and was taking so long in the store, so I went in and this woman named Missy (I don't know last name) spoke and I told her I can't hear and I show her by my hand patting my ear and shaking my head no then mouthing "I can't hear" then she pointed to my backpack then told me NO backpack in the store when my sister literally was carrying a backpack herself. I was already in a foul mood and I was not in the mood for this thing so I called out my sister's name and found her at checkout and seeing as she was already at checkout, I left the store. I believe it was the next day that I went in second time to get something and a different employee did not say anything about my backpack. Today, I went in to get a Red Bull for my sister and a water bottle for my nephew and niece and as I was done with taking those items out of the refrigerator, this customer came up and told me an employee wanted my attention and this employee was Missy, the same woman who complained the previous time. I read some lips, I believe she said "I told you no backpack! Three days ago!" She also pointed to the door and I think she said, "A sign." I looked but I could not find the sign. She showed three fingers and pointed to a space where I was supposed to put my backpack at, so I just dumped it there. Also I was not there three days ago, it was Sunday and I was working that day. I came into town on Monday and I did not go in the store on Monday either. I typed in my phone in my notes to show the woman and I typed exactly this: "There were a woman walk in store with her own backpack before I walked in." I did not mention my sister because I did not want her to go up to my sister and speak of this because it's not my sister's fault. Anyway, I did not put items down first in fear of her ignoring what I typed. I spoke "read." I can speak some words. Missy read then told me no backpack. I tried to speak again and was saying, "But you let the girl carry her backpack, " but she cut me off at ‘girl' so I did not get to finish my sentence. She turned her face away and told me to go and I guess she said something I did not understand, but I understood she shake her head no. I pushed the items towards her and she said "no" then pushed them back toward me. I left the store. I forgot to put back the items but I was angry. I did not understand why she said no backpack in the store to me when she let other customers carry backpacks in the store. I have been made aware by several members of this community that I am not the first to have a complaint about this woman, Missy McGee. I now understand there is a no backpack policy but I felt she was unfair and discriminatory towards me possibly because of either 1. I am young, and fit her stereotypical profile of someone who was going to steal; 2, I am deaf; or 3, I am from out of town.
I just want to ensure that your customers are being treated equally, fairly, and with kindness, and to try to save someone else, especially with a disability, the same experience as my own. Thank you.

Workers are not there to babysit your food. No outside bags are allowed in the store. If you bring them in it's at your own risk. Stop looking for a payday.

Family Dollar hiring

I applied for the assistant manager position at the store in Maiorty NM, I have years of experience and the store there is ver unorganized, disgustingly dirty and understaffed. I overheard the tell someone they got the job over the phone while I was shopping there. A few days later I get a call from the store manager asking if I wanted to go in for an interview which I did, apparently the person they had given the position to didn't show up for the drug test, go figure. The manager offered me the job and said her boss would call me that day for a phone interview but I never heard from him, so I called and asked the store manager what happened she said he wanted to interview more people. Really? I have years of experience and I'm not even from Maiorty, I came from Albuquerque and I recently moved to Edgewood. I've never complained about not being hired for a job but after seeing who I'm Competing against I couldn't believe this bs! You'll try to hire someone women who wouldn't show up for a drug test but not someone who would have your store looking like a store? I can do matrix, planagrams, inventory, truck and alot more and according to your store manager your current employees there don't know how to do any of that, which explains why it looks like a tornado hit it. That's fine good luck finding someone to get that store in shape!
