I worked for Eyemart Express for 2 years, when I first started working their were multiple people fired including my first boss and then every employee (except for myself) then after... yes I said everyone was fired except for myself. They got a new boss and new employees training and all of that fun stuff. About 6 months after that my new boss was fired and they got a new person in there. It was amazing how much they fire and get new people to replace them... why do they do that? I found out after talking to each of the general managers that they will hire whoever will work for less money and that's fine that's business. Here is what I am mad about... I put my two weeks right after my 2 years anniversary which was at the end of the year. A couple weeks after that I called the HQ because they didn't pay me for my sick time which is also time and ahalf. So I called and they said they know they owe me that money but their not going to send it and also never sent me my money for vacation time. NEVER WORK FOR EYEMART EXPRESS is all I have to say. I am in the process of getting my money and hopefully gettting a class action law suit against Dr. Barnes Eyemart Express if I have enough money for my attorney.

An employee of mine suggested Eye Mart What a Nightmare. Two different attempts at correcting the prescription failed. I finally gave up and went back to wearing cheap reader glasses. Many months later I went to a "REAL" eye doctor and was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes after surgery I had 20/20 vision again
The glasses from eye mart, were never worn. Took them in and told them they had misdiagnosed my condition and Sold me two pairs of glasses that NEVER were used and were far worse then the cheap readers I could buy at walmart
They told me they could/would donate the glasses to the salvation army IF I would like. $400+ out the window
I will tell every living soul I KNOW, never to walk into an EYE MART ever The entire staff there were pathetic!

I purchased frames and ordered eyeglasses on December 26, 2015 at Eyemart Express in Kennewick, Wa. It took 2 weeks to have them delivered. The total cost was $524.90, certainly no bargain. I have returned several times for adjustments - this past week I complained because the left lens (my good eye) appeared scratched. They explained how glasses should be cleaned as if I had not been wearing glasses for 65 years. I was told that I refused the lens warranty which costs $49 +. I of course don't remember refusing that. They were very snotty telling me there was nothing they could do. They did not even offer to order a new left lens for me at a cost.
So, I will never shop at Eyemart Express again and will pass the word to all my friends.
I can order a new pair of eye glasses in Mexico and they will be delivered the next day for $120.00 so

Hello, I am a former employee, I had been there for 2 years. We had the same problems. One of the best managers, I ever knew got fired. He had been there for years. I can't believe how they treated him after several years of loyalty. Then after, he left another manager, was newly hired, that had no retail training, and had did some things wrong, he got fired, then the lab manager, became the store manager. My professional opinion, They should never did that, because there is no one to run lab properly. Besides, the fact, that leaves two people in the back lab. It is too stressful, for them, cause there isn't enough people back there. they at least need two more people. The retail floor, keeps on changing almost everyday. I makes it impossible to remember where everything is, in order to complete the tasks, in order to better serve the customers. Not to mention, being glared, from the manager's window, cause the regional store manager, and General store manager, rather do that, Verses, helping you with duties and customers. God forbid, that one of the hardest working employees, get a raise every now and then, for doing a good job.

I worked for them nearly 10 years and saw so much incompetence that I now support legislation of the industry in any state that allows anyone who has not passed the ABO to sell, make or dispense eyeglasses. If you look at a map of their locations the corporation tends to avoid operating in states that do require ABO certification. You got time and a half for UNUSED sick leave. If you used it you only got paid regular hourly pay. They would rather hire someone who was flipping burgers on Friday and put them to work on Monday. When I left many of the customers who would only allow me to help them discontinued their patronage of the store. The managers are judged on how many refunds they get and the overall profitability of the store. They have a very small budget to hire employees so the managers have no choice but to try and hire people who will do highly technical work for minimum wage. If they didn't "get it" in 6 weeks or less then they were fired. Since most college courses teaching the science of optics are longer than 6 weeks you can easily see why the turnover rate is so high in these stores. They may be in the eye care industry but they didn't care, I did. I am grateful to be a "former employee". If you notice on the complaints that corporate officials are contacting complainers then should tell you enough about how they run the company. They don't value their employees. They know you had a problem when they contact you and they are willing to do anything to get some kind of positive feedback and keep the public from knowing what really goes on. The low cost eye wear they advertise is very low quality and was often referred to as BC eye wear by the customers. BC being Birth Control.

When I first read this I could hardly believe it. The same thing happened to my daughter who worked at Eyemart in Minnesota.

Found out this happened to a friend in Alabama as well. They hire the best to start/open a store then get rid of them ASAP for someone with less experience and less money. One store went thru several district managers as well.

same thing happened to my brother. they lured him away from a good job to open a new store and serve as manager. As soon as all of the hardwork of opening the store was complete, they fired him and hired someone else that was cheaper. When he checked around with other managers in the area, he found out that that was common company policy.
