I sent in a pair of Maui Jim's sunglasses back in August of 2021 and was informed by an Eyeglasses Depot representative that the sunglasses were fake. I was taken aback by this as I had purchased them from a reputable dealer and believed them to be genuine. However, I decided to communicate with the representative and sent over the receipt from the dealer that sold them in order to prove their authenticity.
After verifying the authenticity of the sunglasses, I received emails from Eyeglasses Depot stating that they would be shipped back to me. However, I was tasked with handling the shipping costs and ended up paying for both the shipping to the Eyeglasses Depot facility and the return shipping. While I have receipts proving that I paid for both, unfortunately, I have yet to receive my sunglasses back to this day. Furthermore, I have had to endure several excuses from a representative named Anthony who provided me with different stories as to why the sunglasses are not yet in my possession.

When I explained my situation and disappointment with the estimate, the representative replied with a curt "no can do." Needless to say, this was not the level of customer service I was expecting.
In the end, I ended up paying an additional $15.00 to have my sunglasses shipped back unrepaired. All in all, this was a total rip-off and I would strongly advise others to avoid this company at all costs.

Even worse, neither of the two returned sunglasses were properly repaired; one of them had mismatched temples, and the other hadn't even been fixed at all.
What's even worse is that the owner of the company is now actively harassing me over text, email, and online because I had the audacity to leave a negative review of their services. It seems to me, given everything that's happened, that the person behind EyeglassesDepot is none other than Vitaly Borker, a person who was recently named and shamed in a New York Times article for similar fraudulent practices. I highly recommend anyone considering doing business with this company to read the article and think twice before engaging with them.
