Unfortunately, my experience with EyeglassesDepot did not end on a positive note. I had sent in my Adidas prescription glasses for a repair due to a broken hinge. After receiving their response that my glasses were unable to be repaired, they tried to upsell me for a new pair of glasses. However, I decided against purchasing a new pair and requested for my old glasses to be returned. Shockingly, I was informed that there would be a charge of $14 for their return. This left a bad taste in my mouth as I did not anticipate being held hostage for a return of my own property. It seemed like a sneaky tactic to force me into purchasing a new pair. Furthermore, I was able to find new parts for my Adidas frames elsewhere which makes the $14 return charge all the more mind-boggling. As a result, my experience with EyeglassesDepot has been regrettable and I would advise others to beware of their customer service policies.

Not only do they lie, but they are also incredibly rude and have absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. After treating you terribly and providing subpar service, they will have the audacity to send you a text message asking for a gratuity. While I have receipts proving that I paid for both, unfortunately, I have yet to receive my sunglasses back to this day. Furthermore, I have had to endure several excuses from a representative named Anthony who provided me with different stories as to why the sunglasses are not yet in my possession.

Despite providing clear evidence that my sunglasses were genuine, I have yet to receive them back and have had to deal with multiple excuses from a representative. However, to my dismay, they promptly sent me another invoice for a whopping $212. When I pointed out that I had already accepted the earlier invoice and paid the agreed amount, they simply replied that it was a mistake and that I had to pay the higher amount.

I refused to pay the extra cost and demanded that they honor the deal that had been agreed upon. They then offered to lower the price to $175, but I still felt uncomfortable with the sudden change in the price. Eventually, I decided to ask for my glasses to be returned and after several days of constant back and forth, they relented and agreed to send them back. However, they insisted on charging me $12.99 to cover the shipping costs.

When I explained my situation and disappointment with the estimate, the representative replied with a curt "no can do." Needless to say, this was not the level of customer service I was expecting.

In the end, I ended up paying an additional $15.00 to have my sunglasses shipped back unrepaired. All in all, this was a total rip-off and I would strongly advise others to avoid this company at all costs.

Even worse, neither of the two returned sunglasses were properly repaired; one of them had mismatched temples, and the other hadn't even been fixed at all.

What's even worse is that the owner of the company is now actively harassing me over text, email, and online because I had the audacity to leave a negative review of their services. It seems to me, given everything that's happened, that the person behind EyeglassesDepot is none other than Vitaly Borker, a person who was recently named and shamed in a New York Times article for similar fraudulent practices. I highly recommend anyone considering doing business with this company to read the article and think twice before engaging with them.
