Ordered two pairs of glasses from Optically.ca back in January and paid with my credit card. They said the glasses would be shipped within 10 days, but after three weeks, I received nothing. So, I wanted to sell some of my stuff on UsedVictoria.com and I keep getting these weird emails from people claiming to be interested in what I have to offer. They seem to be legit at first, until they ask me to ship the item to someone in Ontario. And guess what? Every time, they give me the mailing address for Optically.ca. I mean, what's up with that?

Anyways, they always say they'll pay with an Interact e-transfer. And then, even though they send me a fake payment, they expect me to ship the item before they release the funds. Don't fall for their tricks, or you'll end up like me - practically giving away your stuff for free.

Just a friendly advice, folks. Don't believe the hype. Banks don't require any proof of shipping before sending out the money. If they can try to scam me, they can definitely scam you as well. So, just stay away from Optically.ca and report any suspicious emails right away. Be safe out there!

This site, Optically.ca, gave me a major headache. Supposedly Canadian, but my glasses came all the way from China! Seriously, what gives? They make it sound like everything's happening locally but it's clearly not. I opted for them instead of Clearly.ca hoping for a company that actually operates in Canada, but clearly I was wrong.

Anyway, the glasses took a while to arrive, and I had to bother customer service multiple times for a tracking number. I finally got one, and the glasses turned up the day after (hey, that's pretty quick shipping from China at least, I'll give 'em that!). But then the frames were Quality Control's worst nightmare. They were all unevenly shaped, and the sun protection didn't work at all, even though I specifically asked for it.

I rang up customer service again, and they agreed to refund me the whole set of sunglasses when I sent them back all the way from Vancouver to Toronto (which, by the way, I had to pay for). It was a whole saga, and I had to wrangle with the customer service reps to get them to listen to me. It was like talking to a wall sometimes. A couple of the representatives were nice and helped me out, but the other two were just sort of smile-and-nodding and didn't really care.

Overall? My experience was not good, and I won't be coming back. The quality of the glasses was highly suspect, and the customer service was a bit of a hit or miss. I ended up buying a similar pair of prescription sunglasses from Clearly.ca for $10 less.

I ain't never heard of them before, but I decided to get in touch with 'em about my optometry measures. See, the thing about optometry is that it's gotta be accurate, no matter where you go. A measurement at one lab shouldn't be different from a measurement at another lab. But apparently, that ain't the case here.

This isn't even my first rodeo with ordering prescription glasses online, and let me tell ya, I've been fooled way too many times before. I really hope I learned my lesson this time, y'all. As posting this review requires a photo, I've added a picture of glasses from another online retailer who I had a much better experience with. It's straightforward to order from them, and their customer service is excellent. So, if you want to order glasses online, you better go to that retailer.

Anyway, I did finally receive my glasses and they were the style I ordered. The lenses, which were prescription, were of acceptable quality, although I'm not sure if these coatings will last long. I chose the "Brown Transition" lenses and was disappointed with how little they actually darkened in the sunlight. My wife chose the "Grey Transitions" and they darkened much more.

In summary, if you're looking for a cheaper option that takes a bit longer to receive, then Optically.ca is worth a try. But, if you want quality, honesty, and faster delivery, I suggest you go with someone like Clearly. Although it may be a couple of dollars more, you'll get a better product and reliable customer service.

What I find misleading is their website stating that optically.ca is local to Canada, when the PayPal address defaults to Australia. Who knows where the glasses came from and where they would like you to send it back to if you're not satisfied!

I requested a new case since it was more reasonable; as expected, almost a month and counting since that offer, nothing seems to be working out.

Also, one thing to remember is that Optically.ca is not really located in Canada. My sunglasses were initially shipped from the US to Ontario before it was then forwarded to me in Vancouver, British Columbia. So much for a Canadian-based business.

I wasn't that satisfied with the glasses that I ordered from Optically.ca. The cheaper frames that were priced at around $39 were twisted and I couldn't manage to straighten them even with hot water. I also had to wait a full month for my glasses to arrive, which was a little frustrating.
