Customer service and billing department
Two days ago, I called customer service because my card was being declined twice. Then I logged in, realized I have a past due account. On-line, I could not pay my fast due account and remaining balance. My first try was to pay the $29.00 past due account, I failed. Then I tried to pay the balance of $333.74, I failed again.
Last night I tried again.
Initially, Shelby answered. She did not why I could not pay on-line. Then, I supposed to be connected to someone who knows about the technical difficulties I was having on-line.
I waited for more than 15 minutes then Mahagin was the next person to try find the solution to my dilemma. First, she asked how much would I be paying and what the source of my payment. These are already in the system, then she realized that was the case. .She tried very hard to see what she can do. She placed me on hold. I waited 5-7 minutes. She apologized for putting on hold for the length of time. Then, she placed on hold for the second time, third time and the fourth time. I tried telling that I can give her my cell number so she can call me back just in case it may take a long time to find the remedy. She refused, twice. Then, she said she'll connect to the expert.
And finally after being on the phone for more than 1 hour, I got connected to Nova, supposedly the expert! . The conversation was briefly interrupted several times because of poor connection. She asked me how much would i be paying on-line. I said if I would paying on-line, why am I talking to her. I believe, she became upset based on her intonation.
Shen she asked if I would be paying the total balance, I said yes. I asked her the exact amount. Her phone was breaking up. I said the total, which I remember to $414.00. She hang up.
Then, I checked my checking account this morning. The amount that I agreed to pay has not been submitted. Now, I suspect my card will again be declined.

We no longer travel long distances as we used to, & the few exxonmobil stations in our area are far & few between. So we had not used the card for a while. Now we found that the card-account has been closed due to "not being used"!? Really? That is not smart is so many ways! Could cause problems if someone traveled with only that card become stranded if they depended on using only that card for gas, especially for emergency/unexpected travel. Also could adversely affect credit scores which is especially concerning in the still recovering economic times. And if you really wanted to reinstate that card — while they only had to "push a button" to close your account, you have to complete the lengthy process to reopen that account — huh? Bottom line — beware the possible traps caused by this card's policies!

Customer service + auto operator
This is my fourth or fifth complaint concerning the same issues. Several weeks ago I had to make four calls to finally get back into my account. Except for notice that complaints have been received, I have not gotten any answers from Exxon.
I have since gotten 4 E-mails and 2 texts concerning Payment Due Date For Account.
If you can send me these notices, WHY have my complaints and requests NOT been answered?
Customers Service was not available to me because the only thing on the front of my card are logos. There are not 3 numbers on the FRONT of my card. CCV was not acceptable either. I guess I need a new card or you need to change the Auto Operater where phone calls go.
All except 1 customer service person was very pushy for me to hurry up. 1 hung up on me for yelling at her even thro she yelled first. I do not think that hanging up on a very frustrated customer is the way to deal with customers. Just as not responding to customer complaints is the way to deal with the same.
I would really like to hear from someone from Exxon concerning these matters.

Gas station
There is an Exxon Station at 6006 W Clearwater Ave in Kennewick Wa that does not accept the Exxon Gas Card. Is there a reason for this? There are only Four Exxon stations in the area and are very spread out. I was very irritated when I went to get gas and my Exxon gas card was declined at the pump. I went inside to see if maybe they could run it inside only to be told they don't accept them. This makes Exxon look bad and it's an inconvenience to consumers. I decided at that point that I would apply for another gas card from another company, so I wasn't having to drive all over to get to Exxon.
Desired outcome: I would like to know why they don't accept Exxon gas cards and if this is okay with Exxon that they don't or if this is normal practice.

Mobil Gas station on Dougall in Windsor Ontario has pay at the pump only but the pumps cannot input your odometer reading to complete the transaction using Esso or Mobil gas card I tried 4 pumps with no luck and the attendant said owner is aware but not willing to spent money to fix. Wasted 20 min there then went to different gas station everything worked fine there.

Sale of drug paraphernalia
On November 12th I stopped to get a water and a snack at the store called Downtown Quickstop at the corner of Bank St and So. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT. As I was walking to the entrance I was asked for change from most likely a homeless person struggling with substance abuse. I grabbed my items and as I checked out noticed glass pipes, bongs, etc in a huge display of vapes. How is this ethically right of this company to sell such items knowing/seeing right out side their door the addiction, crime, homelessness destroying lives? I normally stop at Cumberland Farms or Maplefields and am pretty sure I've never seen the drug paraphernalia being sold at either store. I went to Maplefields the next day, was informed that it is against "branding" compliance to sell such items.
Also, noticed a display of Chore Boy behind the counter at the Quickstop which seemed odd. After I googled the use I was even more appalled as it, along with the straight glass pipes are used to smoke crack.
Desired outcome: This store and all other Simon's Stores throughout Vermont to be made to have all pipes, bongs, chore boy etc removed immediately as well as a fine for each store selling these appalling items feeding into this horrific drug epidemic.
Contaminated gas damaging my truck
On 10/12/2023 I stopped at an Exxon station (8444 Jefferson Road, Athens GA 30607) to fill up my truck on pump #5. After filling up, I started my truck and seconds later it stopped running. I couldn’t restart anymore. The owner was not present (at 0748) to talk about this incident. I called AAA to tow my truck to closest garage. They did complete diagnostics on the truck and then they tested the gas and the gas was milky. Never experienced this before. The gas at that pump was contaminated.
Desired outcome: To pay for the repairs ($1455.75), return of my EMRewards (5000pts) and $42.60 I used to pay for the contaminated gas

Rude/ verbally aggressive cashier employee
The purpose of this letter is to file a complaint against the employee’s name Mannan who works as a cashier at Mobil 43-07 Astoria Blvd S, Queens, NY.
On August 18, 2023, I went to fill my gas at around 11:15pm-11:30pm. I first, inserted my Mobil rewards card then entered the amount, after that, the machine screen says wait for the cashier approval, so I thought I accidentally pressed pay cash, so I went to the cashier to pay $15, I gave him $50 then the employee said it doesn’t let him, he said something about the nozzle beeping. I have no idea what he meant so I went back to check if the nozzle wasn’t in the right position. He then went outside to check on me, I told him it seems ok. So, he asked me to re-do it. I did the same I inserted my Exxon rewards then entered the amount then he said why did you put your card, I said that is just the Exxon rewards and I am paying cash because he still has my $50 and cash is cheaper. Then he started yelling at me, he said ‘’ are you crazy?! Why would you put your card and then ask me to do the cash at the cashier?!’’ then I said ‘’I thought that’s the procedure because it is just a rewards card not credit card’’, then he repeatedly yelling at me again. ‘’are you crazy, I am busy inside and you want me to do this for you?! You see I have 3 customers inside?!’’, I told him I obviously didn’t know they have a different procedure here. Then I asked him why he is screaming at me. I thought asking him would make him be conscious of his voice. But no, he just kept going on screaming at me telling me that he is busy inside. Meanwhile he only has 2 women, who are together waiting to pay. I was caught off guard of his reaction towards me, so I just kept asking him why he needs to yell as we walk inside the store. At this point, I just wanted to get my money and not deal with him because I am getting agitated with his rudeness. As he was walking back at the cashier, I asked what his name is, he said his name and ask me ‘’why? What would you do?!’’ and then he suddenly lowers his voice and ask me what do I want to do now and how much. I just told him to give me my money and I ask him again what his name is because I didn’t get it, so he showed me his name embroidered to his uniform. As I was getting the money, I told him again to stop yelling at his customers.
I just decided to use my credit card because I do not want to be yelled again. After I gas my car, I saw him just seating and looking at me from the window counting something. I guessed that is busy for him.
I really felt that the employee is being rude and verbally aggressive with me instead of just explaining to me that I can’t do it that way, I am sure he knows how it works and it wasn’t that hard to assist me without calling me crazy and yelling at me.
I was deeply affected by this employee’s aggression as a customer. I am simply bringing this to your attention so that the company can help him be better at his job and be friendly like other Mobil cashiers around queens are. Hopefully he could be provided with proper customer training so he wouldn’t do this to another customers.

Corporate conspiracy to hide fossil fuel impact on climate change
Exxon-Mobil has for decades engaged in a conspiracy to deny the impacts of the product they sell upon climate change. They knew, and hid, the direct correlation between burning fossil fuels and rising global temperatures. As such, I hold Exxon-Mobil accountable for the heat wave I am currently experiencing, and for the impacts upon populations around the globe where people are dying of heat-induced illnesses.

I just want to inform you that the bathroom faucets need to be updated at the Jackson Missouri location on hwy 61. I believe this matter needs to be addressed bc one can't possibly properly wash their hands do to the faucet setting so close to the back side of the sink. The water coming out of the faucet literally comes out about an inch from rear of the sink. I and I'm sure everyone else has to bust their knuckles against the back of the sink to wash our hands. This concerns me on how well the kitchen employees are getting thir hands clean do to this problem. Please check into this, new faucets that would disperse the water toward the center of the sink would be so much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

She was cordial and professional and immediately helped me by telling me to go back to her with bank statement and she will give the $20 back. BIG Sigh of relief. I did go back and with a smile she gave me the money back. I am super happy with this employee of Exxon. Nice job in hiring such a honest and friendly and professional person. This person that is employed with this company has been harassing me for over two years. I know this company does not like to have employees that harass senior citizens every day cause they think they can. The company should have standards for employees. I have known him to stay up and go to work at the plant. I think this is unsafe. Putting people at risk cause not enough rest. His name is Justin McNabb. My 13 year old son was in with friends after playing ball across the street, he was singled out by an employee Debra and was accused of stealing, she kicked them all out and tried intimidating them. My son immediately called me, I went and she told me to my face that she had him on camera stealing.
I knew there was no way my son was stealing so I called officers to the store, I had the manager review the cameras and of course he did not steal anything. All I asked from them for me to let this go was an apology to my son. Spoke to the general manager, Emmit his words, “do what you gotta do” “she probably not gonna apologize”.
They have terrible customer service in general as you see in all the reviews but this crossed the line. Now with the other parents of the children, we will move forward and “do what we have to do”
