08-2021 (1:00-3:30am): I was very ill & ordered out of work for 5 days and my mother was close to dying (which see did 8-20-21). Doctor advised total bedrest with no stress. There was loud talking outside close to my window. I called down to the desk clerk, while I was looking outside. One of the 3-4 persons was him, as I saw the cell phone in his hand and could hear him. He apologized and said they would stop. Two hours later they were still out there. After trying to get him to answer the phone a few times, I called the police, who took 30 minutes to arrive. It was only then the employee and other residents went inside. I went downstairs to speak to this clerk to let him know this was not handled properly. He immediately became very confrontational and verbally abusive. Said among other things, the outside was public property and "he" had every right to be outside and not address my complaint. It went on for approximately 10 minutes. I was VERY upset and actually scared. After going back to my room, I did not sleep the rest of the right. A plan to try & work in the a.m. was dashed. Told the manager the next morning about it. She told me there was nothing they could do because the abusive employee had given a two week notice; thus they could NOT fire him during that two-week period. I was left feeling very insignificant and nervous. I had been here for about two years, after escaping a very abusive relationship and I had felt safe here.
Desired outcome: I would happy to speak to your board; but MUST remain anonymous, as I still live here. I am doing another complaint following this one. Thank you. Patty [protected]
