Dollar Tree rev. dr. alvin mckinney - unethical/unwarranted behavior by manager_dollar tree, 3697 hickory hill rd, memphis, tn, 38115 · (901) 365-4112

Good Morning Dollar Tree, Inc.

I thought you should know that your Brand is NOT being well represented at the location below. I am a native Memphian returning home after residing in Los Angeles, CA for the last 23 years.

On Monday, November 26, 2018 at approximately 1:40 PM, after standing in a long line for atleast 10 minutes with other disgruntled customers both in front and behind me, when Register attendant Jameca (sp?) asked for the manager to come out and assist her. After the Manager came out and stood behind the register attendant with cash in her hands, I waited briefly to watch the interaction and timing of the transaction requested. While the manager was standing still waiting for the register attendant to finish her job, I stepped slightly out of line, and took the liberty of asking the Manager in a very humble and non-alarming tone of voice, "Excuse me Mamma, is it was possible to have someonelse to open an additional cash register (while holding Thank you Cards for dear friend in need of financial assistance while going through major health issues and a divorce, Lighter and Trident gum)? She responds in a very nasty and disrespectful tone of voice that she's give cash to the register girl...give me a minute. With shock on my face, I looked at the customers behind me as they shook their heads. After giving the attendant the cash, she went back into the office and closed door. One customer said, "That was uncalled for" and another, "She ain't coming back either". As far as I know, she did not return. Finally, I purchased my items, left the store and drove next door to Post Office building next door to mail my Thank you card with cash to assistance my friend of about 25 years.

I've been in Memphis since August of last year, and truly HATE going to that location because the service there is poor, Management seems to have issues in hiring respectful and dependable people, and store is OFTEN in disarray with boxes everywhere.

This location needs more dependable workers. Even the Good female Managers there often seemed stressed or overwhelmed from what appears to be a lack of good help.
For this reason, I would rather drive 5 minutes away from my home to the DT on Perkins and Knight Arnold, rather than drive 2 minutes back to the Dollar Tree, 3697 Hickory Hill Rd, Memphis, TN, 38115 location.

Please FIRE that RUDE Manager, and send more respectful and dependable, reliable staff works. Thank you.

I've been blessed to have toured and Ministered around the world. I recognize and appreciate good service and congenial behavior. This store seems to have many issues and needs serious assistance. On behalf of the Hickory Hill Community, Thank you for your time and IMMEDIATE ATTENTION to this matter at that location.

Dollar Tree charged twice for same order ec8444342

I picked up my order in the Dollar Tree store on October 15, 2018 and was asked by the cashier to pay for the item in the amount of $65.55 since it was still pending on Pay Pal. I charged $65.55 on my credit card ending in ***********5723. Authorization approval number 086104/022902. On October 31, 2018 another $65.55 was deducted from Pay Pal with my credit card ending in ***********5723 for the same order EC8444342.

Surely, your company can credit my account back $65.55 since I was charged twice for the same order. This problem has been existing too long and it appears no one is concerned. I have contacted your company several times about this problem and it stills has not been resolved. Thank you for your assistance. My phone number is [protected].

Dollar Tree store

I went to the store to buy white out from the entrance you could see the store was a big dump. I went to the school supply section, it took me 30 minutes to find the whiteout because nothing was in order. It was ridiculous I have gone to other Dollar Tree location and none have ever been even close to the mess this location was. I went to ask an associate of why it is such a mess and he said "Your welcome to pick up".

Dollar Tree pampa long grain rice

I got my order on Nov. 24, when UPS delivered it there was so much rice spilling from the packaging, I got 8 full bags got my rice, but in the plastic packaging there were 4 bags of the rice torn, so there was rice spilling all over the place. I think they were torn while in transit so I believe you all owe me 4 bags. I have tried calling customer service, finally hung up after like 32 minutes. I really need replacements or credit my card.

Dollar Tree store #3089; unprofessional staff

I'm not treated fairly by your staff. My fiance used to work at your dollar tree in Galesburg IL store #3089 on N. Henderson. Since he quit the staff have been rude for example as soon as we walk in the staff would alarm the cashier's to watch us. I work hard and I don't appreciate the title as a theif, never stole anything in my life, I pay for everything. And as far as the manager is concerned Michela, she is not professional are you aware the she works with her husband he unloads the semi truck. She used her maiden name so no one would find out about her and her husband working together, She advise my fiance not to say anything after he told him that they do work together. I don't think this is fair and appropriate for your business, it also states in the work hand book. She was disrespecting to my fiance talking bad about him to her staff the night manager told us that she was, I don't appreciate the comments I had to hear back.

Dollar Tree not enough hours for my store

I work at the Chastain Meadows Parkway location in Marietta, GA. In March we underwent a remodel. Rather than using employees who needed the extra hours and were familiar with the way items should be spaced and stocked they hired a bunch of people who had no idea what they were doing. We have had an extremely difficult time getting our store back in order and properly stocked. Our back room is so full that it is a hazard and we cannot distinguish between departments. I am aware that my manager has requested to stop trucks so that we might be able to get things situated but the request keeps getting denied. We definitely need extra hours so that we can allow our stockers to get more done each week. There is absolutely no more room for another truck but it will be arriving tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm not sure how they're going to fit the boxes in the back room.

Dollar Tree customer service (phone)

Been trying to contact C/S all day and has spoken to no one. Waited for over a half hour each call (5) and just gave up [protected] & [protected]). I used up valuable time on my cell phone.
Placed an order on 11/17/2018 and paid extra for expediting the order and here it is 11/26/2018 and still haven't received it.
Order tracking does no damn good 'cause it tells me the same thing every day.
I don't even have a tracking number.

This really sucks.

Dollar Tree plate chargers

I placed an online order of 7 cases of 24 silver beaded edge plate chargers on 10/23/18. When I went to pickup my order at store #97, I learned that my order was doubled! The store mgr. refused to refund/return the extra 7 cases stating all online orders are non returnable/ non refundable.
I explained when I placed the order it was nearly midnight. I got an alert explaining the transaction was cancelled. I placed the order again at a few minutes after midnight and the order was placed successfully. It did not appear to me that both attempts to order went thru.
I am so distraught over receiving 7 extra boxes of chargers and after several attempts to return the extra chargers. (I should also mention that one case arrived damaged (in my original order). Every plate charger is either cracked or broken! I should not be expected to pay for something damaged or an order that is doubled.
I've attempted multiple phone calls to
877-530-8733. The wait time is horrendous at over 45 minutes waiting for someone to come on the line.
1-On 11/3, I spoke to "Mason" and was told his computer was down but I would 100% get my refund. Mason stated that someone from Dollar Tree would call me the next day. I did not get a call.
2-On 11/5 I phoned the same number as documented above and spoke to "Garrett" who listened to my request and he stated someone in customer support would call me in 24-48 hours. I did not get a call.
3-On 11/7 I phoned and after 30 min. and no one came on the line, I left an automated message. Again, I did not receive a call back.
4-On 11/9 I went to the Dollar Tree on Frederica St. in Owensboro, KY and spoke with the mgr. I did not get her name but she was very nice and tried to help me resolve my dilemma by phoning Coporate HQ. She was also on hold for a long tome. She finally spoke to someone that explained "Georgia" would contact me via email and would send me a questionnaire wirh instructions for me to get a refund. I was told Georgia would email me within 5-7 days. I did not receive any electronic correspondence.
5-On 11/23 I phoned customer support again and after being on hold for 45 minutes I left another detailed automated message. I have not received any form of contact from Dollar Tree.
It has been over a month since I placed the Dollar Tree order and I am still waiting to receive assistance. This is my 6th attempt to get this issue resolved. Dollar Tree has very poor customer assistance!
I hope this email message finds its way to some person that actually cares to assist me and is an honest person who doesn't lie to me stating someone will contact me.
My email address is donna.[protected]@gmail.com. My phone is [protected]. I appreciate your expected cooperation to resolve this issue.
Sincerely,
Donna Whistle

Dollar Tree manager on site (laura)

I went in with my family today around 9:00 PM. We love to shop at Dollar Tree all the time and have never had such a bad experience like the one tonight. My son had dropped two plastic candy canes by accident, and I asked him to pick them up. Well, out of nowhere came a girl to pick them up from the floor before my son did and came right up to me with an angry face and told me to put them back. She said it in the most rude disgusting way. So I told her, " you are being very rude, my son dropped those on accident and he was about to pick them up." She started telling me that my son was knocking "things" around and so I told her, "What are you talking about?" "My son isn't knocking "things around." "Show me what "things" he knocked down." She just kept saying, "Well things" and I kept asking her, "Show me what things." I was here and the only 2 things he dropped by accident were these 2 candy canes, why are you so bothered and angry and being very rude?" Then she went on saying that I was upset because she told me that my son was knocking things around, and sure I was upset at those accusations because my son wasn't knocking things around and also because she was very very rude. So I asked her, "I need to speak to the manager." She then proceeded to tell me, "I am the manager!" "What do you want!?" Again, very unprofessional and RUDE. So I just told her I didn't want to deal with her anymore that I would be calling corporate office instead...and she just went on with her ugly demeanor, saying, "GO AHEAD!" I have never ever seen a manager handle any sort of incident in such an unprofessional way as today. I love the Dollar Tree for it's Teacher supplies because I'm a teacher, and all its great merchandise but I will not go back to that store again. This "manager, " needs either more training on how to handle situations in a professional way and maybe even anger management classes. Please speak to this manager who was on site at the Dollar Tree on 6007 N. Mesa street, El Paso, TX 79912. Again, this happened around 9:00 PM on 11-23-2018. I wouldn't want another one of your good customers to go through this horrible experience at your store. Thank You! -Ms. Rosales

Dollar Tree the maintenance and cleaning of the premises

The Dollar Tree I am referring to is located on St Nicholas Avenue, between West 125th Street and West 126th Street in Harlem New York. I have visited the location on several occasions to purchase items for events at Work. The prices of items are great. The workers are helpful and polite. I've never returned an item or tried to obtain a refund. I do not believe that would have been a problem. My complaint is about the state of the space. The Dollar Tree is located in the basement of the building. To reach the store there are escalators. I've never seen, in any store, the dirt on the walls, the escalator, the space between the escalator as those in this location. The store itself is grimy. It is dirty, smelly and just very unattractive. I've noticed that even in the refrigerator where food items are kept, the shelves and the bottom of the appliances are filthy. It is understood that items are very cheap. However, customers and employees should not have to be in such poorly kept conditions. The stores have been open a few years now. At the look of it, it doesn't seem like it has been cleaned since the first day it opened. That is the complaint. The store needs cleaning from the top to the bottom.

Thanks

Dollar Tree reliashave product and I don’t trust assured product

Okay I'm very upset with the fact that they are not selling or bringing in the Reliashave shaving razors coming in for both 6 blade blue and pink as the four blade as well. I'm not pleased with the assured product type of shaving razor and I DON'T trust it. Reliashave is the most trusted razor brand that I can find. If they cannot get it back in then I'm feeling compelled to buy them at another store. Or even purvhase 24 dollars worth on the website and there's really no point doing. This incident has caused me to lose faith in the dollar tree to some extent. These razors shaved pretty well and because they are not in store right now I would have to order online. This complaint is not just a particular store in general but I am filing it against the whole company Dollar tree altogether. I would like this complaint to be sent and read by the whole company and not just one particular store in general. Please I would like that Reliashave back up please and I am asking you to please put it back on the market. Please I don't care for the assured product. Please I would like this complaint heard and understood. I'm asking and requesting seriously please that these shavers be put back out on the sales floor thank you.

Dollar Tree employees discriminating customers.

I'm the general manager of the Domino's pizza in Sellersburg Indiana 2 doors down from the dollar tree. I sent my employee over to buy a case of bags when he comes back distrot over the employees picking on him over his clothes. They refused to help him while making fun of him. He came back asking me to walk out with him and sure enough they are outside smoking at the door while laughing and pointing at our employees. Now of course we tried talking to the manager but all she had to say was they didn't do anything. I've ran this company for 10 years same store and never been treated that way by a fellow company. This must be stopped and something done. This employee represents your company and poorly. The name of employee was Joshua Little if the provided correct information.

Dollar Tree not eligible for hire

I recently applied for employment with Dollar Tree, there after I was asked to come in for an interview and then was told that I wasn't eligible for Rehire, due to past Family Dollar employment issue. My concern is I've never had employment with neither Dollar Tree nor Family Dollar. If I may be informed with further information regarding this issue that would be great.

Dollar Tree rude manager

My 12 year old daughter and I were at Dollar Tree in Walker, Louisiana on Nov 14 at 6pm. I had 4 Christmas items that I wanted to exchange. The cashier said she didn't think she could do that but went and asked the manager for me anyway. When she returned and explained that she couldn't accept the items because it seasonal, I explained that we were not made aware that it was final sale when we checked out and I asked to speak to the manager about it. When the manager came out of the office, I told her we were not made aware that it was final sale when we checked out and I wanted to see if she would allow me to exchange the items for something else. She said that it was printed on the bottom of my receipt. But I explained that I didn't get the receipt until after I had checked out and then it would have been too late. She then said that she didn't check me out, so I asked if she tells people that it's final sale when they check out and she said no. So I'm not sure why she said that but she was getting really rude with her tone and answers and she said "you just want me to be lenient and give in!" I said you don't have to be rude about it and she said "you're the one being rude because you're still standing there after I already told you I'm not letting you exchange it". I said "wow" and left the store. Then I returned to the store after a few minutes to make amends. I walked in and said "I don't want there to be any hard feelings and I want to explain why I was trying to exchange the items. My daughter is in the beta club and they were making wreaths for the nursing home. I let her buy a crap load of items with the intention of exchanging what she didn't use." She immediately got rude again and said "you should have read the bottom of the receipt". I again said that I didn't get the receipt until after I checked out. She stormed off and I said "I basically came back to apologize to you". Then she said "I wish you wouldn't have!". As she was walking away I asked her for her name and she said "I don't know". So I turned to the nice cashier and asked her. She said it was Ms. Allison.
It's only $4, so I'm not concerned with the money but I thought you should be aware of this manager's rude behavior, if she even is a manager. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you [removed]

Dollar Tree refrigerated food products.

At store number 5050 I have noticed that in the food products refrigerator case there has mold growing on the bottom of the case. It starts from the eggs down to the foods. This is on the bottom of the enclosure. I've noticed it for a few weeks now and I do not see it being cleaned. They just put food in without cleaning the bottom.

Should I mention it to the store manager or just have you check things out? I've never complained before about any store, but I am worried about the mold as mold grows. Perhaps not as quickly in a cold area, but still it is mold around food.

Please tell me what should I do about the most concerning matter.

Dollar Tree unbelievably bad service

On October 30th I ordered $120.00 worth of merchandise for a school event on November 14. I also submitted the tax exempt form that day via email. On November 8th I called to check on the order as it had not arrived. I was on hold for 30 minutes, and when the representative finally answered, they told me that I needed to call back later in the day, and to expect the hold time to be no less than 30 minutes when I called back. That afternoon, I called back and was once again put on hold for 30 more minutes. The representative that I talked to could not help and promised to email me the status of my order within 24-48 hours. The email never arrived. I called again this morning and was again put on hold for an even longer amount of time. I was told that they had no idea when the order would arrive. They said that there may or may not be a truck that picks up the order on Sunday . They couldn't be anymore specific. The school event is tonight and yesterday I had to order from Amazon and have the items express shipped, costing my school (a Title 1 school) a bundle of extra money. I have never dealt with such a lack of customer service in my life. Three phone calls, and more than an hour and a half of wait time, and still not even a guess about when my supplies may or may not arrive. How on earth do you run a company this way? I had hoped to order many more supplies for our School-Family events through Dollar Tree, but I have certainly learned that Dollar Tree is not customer friendly and not trustworthy. If there is any hope of changing this reputation, you might consider refunding at least the extra money that I had to spend ($68) to get the materials I need for tonight from a reputable and trustworthy company. Never did I imagine that when I placed my order with Dollar Tree that I would have to beg for the status of my order 2.5 weeks later, only to be told you have no idea when it might ship. Just amazing.

Dollar Tree having to call the police, while purchasing bottled water in your store.

To whome it may concern, my name is Habibatullah J. Evans. I merely went into the Dollar Tree store #995, to purchase bottled water. A young rude immature woman threatened my life in your store. She appeared to have been sitting behind or beside the counter wearing a sweat suit. She started walking around the store speaking loudly and saying things that made me feel threatened. I'm sixty one years old and unfortunately in this society the disrespect from younger people is devastating. I filed a police report. I realize that you have no control over how people are raised, but hopefully you are concerned about the way your store is being operated. Why was she anywhere near the counter? I asked for a manager, but due to her irrational behavior, I decided to call the police. My cell number is+[protected]. Thank you for your assistance in handling this very disturbing matter!

Dollar Tree customer service / discrimination

The family goes to the Dollar Tree in Santa Maria Ca.. The one on north Broadway to be more specific. My Daughter just got a service dog and took it into the store.(The dog did not have a vest but does have tags). The manager on duty at the time (Sylvia) informed my wife and daughter the the dog did not belong in the store and told them to leave with the dog. They explained that the dog is a service animal and is allowed in the store. The manager argued with them for a few minutes before my wife and daughter continued on their way.this happened twice. The third time I went to the store with my daughter and again she was told not to bring the dog into the store. My daughter explained that the dog is a service dog, I then showed the manager the registration tag and she proceeded to get an attitude and yelled at us in front of other employees. now the employees are giving my wife dirty looks. I would like to know your policy on animals in your store.
