Dishtv India Ltd — fraud business practices!
I am DishTV subscriber. I was unable to view some of the paid channels and I telephoned on 19.1.07. My signal strength was around 50%. I telephoned the call center. My complaint was not registered and I was told to contact their dealer. I availed his services( M/s Samantar Sales and Service, Ahmedabad) on payment of Rs 100/ on 20.1.07. In spite of this I was not getting the channels and one by one my paid channels started disappearing. I contacted call center and finally my complaint was registered on 20.1.07 around 8 PM. I was told that I will get all the channels from 4- 24 hrs. One day passed and I contacted the call center at least 10 times. Every time I was told that there is a technical problem from Dish TV side and it will be rectified. First of all getting the telephone no is itself is very difficult.In this process I spoke to different people like m r Umesh, Tarun, Arvind, Nazeen, Tarekh, Bhupnder explaining my ### and bull story and I was told that it will take another 24 hrs for the problem to get sorted. Mr Nazeen assured that it will be corrected by 4 pm on 21.1.07. Since it was not sorted I spoke again to Mr Aravind and he told it will be sorted by 8 pm on 21.1.07 that is 24 hrs after registration of complaint. It did not materialize and I was watching only Krishi darshan like programs ( Free to air ) for which I need not shell out such an amount and paying charges up to Mid april 2007 in advance and surplus amount is at my credit. My week end was full of DISMAY. Finally after talking with Mr Deepak, Technical Supervisor and he took STB details and Conax details over phone. I came to know through him that my package had still problems and it will be done tomorrow that is 22.1.07. I left home at 8 am, 22.1.07 for office and till the time the situation is same. I learned that finally the signal has been sent on 21.1.07 11 pm and I have been fooled by DISH TV people that it will be activated within 4-24hrs since 20.1.07.
As on 24.1.07 I am receiving only espn, star sports and asianet. rest of all the channels are blocked. I spoke to mr sumit at length on 23 jan 10 pm. He promised that within two hrs it will be available. Till now the status is same. I would like to know that after how many months I will get the signals?
I firmly belief that DishTV is taking people for a ride. I SUFFERED MENTAL AGONY FOR their FAULT ADMITTED BY their OWN STAFF. NO QUESTION OF LONG AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP. Dish TV is not providing service for charity and I have paid for it. Many times I had to call the telephone on my expense which is not toll free as the toll free lines were busy many times for redressing a problem created by Dish TV.
When I demanded immediate credit of charges into my account for 3 days since 20.1.07 and to refund my legitimate amount including the unutilized subscription charges since their service is poor. The answer was negative.
Dish TV Never responds to any query on the email even if you have logged in as a customer. If you are lucky YOU will get a email reply after a week.
Centralized operators based in Nodia and the very poor quality of Customer Service Staff.
