DISH Network Promotional gift card expiration.

I received a promotional gift card $(300) for returning to dish after 10 years of service. I have only had this card for 8 months, issued January 2021 and it has expired (6/21 )without using it at all. There should be a 60 day grace period like other expired cards to get the money that is left on the card. Customer service offered no help to resolve the issue and said the money goes back to dish! How insane, like dish needs $300 more dollars when a teacher looking to use the card to buy school supplies can't even use it! I can't believe this company would do this to their customers! Especially in times during the pandemic!

Desired outcome: Re-issue the card

DISH Network Satellite not working properly.

I called a few weeks ago for help with lack of channels coming thru. A tech finally came after all a day of missed times. The tech said the satellite was off. No bad weather, etc. Now this weekend it starts all over again. Satellite not picking up channels. Tried to call but had a 25/30 minute wait. So hung up. Also I was told by cs that I would be charged only half and now I get bill (auto deduct) with a second charge. I am so fed up with dish, why can we not get fair treatment? I think I need a new dish, but I can imagine the charge for that.
I cannot get the channels I prefer and I get NO credit

Desired outcome: New Dish and NO charge and credit for the lie I was told.

DISH Network Your illegal billing practice! But you already know that!

My dad who is 96 and been with your fine {ha ha} company for many, many years just keeps getting billing hikes. No added service, just higher rates. Look at his phone history calling your lying CS people. He wanted paper billing so he could see what you were going to rape him for on his monthly bill. HE forgot the bill last month. So he got a shut off notice with this months bill. so I called and talk to one of your CS lier's 214.00 a month last month, plus a late fee and this mo. bill 249.00. A GD 35.00$ hike! WITH NO ADDED SERVICE GD! So my dad with what I was told, sent a check for 442.00$. Your fine company got the check and immediately sent another shut off notice say we owed another 68.00$. WHAT THE HELL!

Desired outcome: To never have to call your fine(ha ha) co. ever,because you played it straight with your billing hahahahahaha

DISH Network Being over charged on updated new contract

I spoke to a Dish representative back In June 2021 about extending our contract that was set to expire end of July 2021, the monthly amount I agreed to pay was less than $76.95 taxes included .
Today Dish charged my credit card $105.50 . I Called [protected] spoke with rep Johony @ 1:41 pm 8/19/2021. Johony insisted I agreed to the pay $105.50 every month for 2 years and discounts were included in that price. The only amount I agreed to pay was less than $76.95 month tax included . I asked Johony if Dish TV had a store with human face to face representation, he said no and all agreements are done over the phone, I find this alarming. Yes Dish TV never sent us our $300 gift card 2 years ago, now our new 2 year " dedicated good credit rating preferred customer contract " is not real . We will be paying $89.13 for minimal Dish coverage.
Where is the loyal customer service this large corporation promotes daily on TV / mailing addresses / bill boards ?

Desired outcome: Honor 2 year contract of $76.95 a month tx inc that I agreed to pay in June 2021

DISH Network Service and cancellation fees

They advertise as a company with top notch technology, but as someone who works in the tech sector, they leave a lot to be desired. I signed up under a veteran's discount which was $65 per month for their Top 120 package with the Hopper 3 with sling and a Joey for my bedroom. Initially, they set up the wrong equipment and I was unable to stream my DVR recordings at work overnights. It took a week for them to correct this error, which I found out later was only partially corrected. Then it was just problem after problem.

While at work, I either couldn't connect to my Hopper so couldn't watch anything on the so called DishAnywhere app, or it would connect and then disconnect halfway through a show. The app would show that the Hopper wasn't connected to the internet, but when I would check my router I could clearly see it was.

Also, the Hopper either lost my recordings, decided that a show that was marked NEW in the guide wasn't new and didn't record it, or would reboot and not play my recordings. Both the software and the hardware from this supposed technology company leaves a lot to be desired.

So today, I called and canceled my service. As would be expected, the agent asked why. I explained all the issues I had above. First, although he apologized, he gave me excuses as to why this happened: I had a Hopper 2 instead of the 3, the hard drive was probably going bad, etc. Then tried to sell me on staying with an upgraded Hopper 3 and $20 off a month but with another 2 year contract. NO!

After turning down all the bs offers to try and get me to stay, I was then informed there would be a $20 disconnection fee for terminating my contract earlier. When I asked how I was terminating early since my 24th and last payment was taken on 8/6 and my service period ends on 8/20, I was told that I had changed my equipment 7 days after the beginning of my contract and that reset the 2 years to that day. So my choice was pay the $20 for the early termination or pay about $20 for the 7 extra days of service. Anything to squeeze another couple dollars out.

Next, in his scripted diatribe about returning the equipment or being charged for it was a little bit about $15 for the equipment return kit, and I'm pretty sure I'll end up paying the shipping costs also. I had Dish 20 years ago and loved the service then so decided to try them again. This has just made me decide that I will never go to them again.

Desired outcome: reversal of cancellation fees and fee for returning equipment

DISH Network Losing local station

Apparently Dish is dropping my local CBS station as of tomorrow, 8/16/21. This is not good news . CBS is my source for loca news, as well as several shows that I currently enjoy such as the View, each morning, and Shark Tank in the evenings. As a years long Dish subscriber, and CBS channel watcher, I am very dissapointed and considering a switch to a different cable provider.

DISH Network All

Been using your joey and every aspect of your dish service sucks. Some one set up a record and it take over my joey with out my permission and either I have to stop the recording or go with it and lose everything save on watch im watching I should never be force to choose between what im watching and what someone else set to record you on demand is a joke the hopper keep unbridging my connection and stuff I watch on demand every time is messes up it make me restart the thing all over it load to much and will not let me skip the commercial which is why you per record a show I was watch and episode and it kept screwing up and I had to restart 5 time and every time I had to sit through the same stupid commercial because you stop me from skiping and it will not let me fast forward through the thing to get back to what I was watching I finally gave up and went to hulu to watch something else because your dish service is utterly useless every time you and anything to your service you make your customer sign another contract im so sick of you service when I get my own place again I will never use you service

DISH Network Cannot record fox news channels

I live in Katy, TX
The channel guide does not give information regarding the programming on the Fox News channels (205 and 206) therefore you cannot record these channels for later viewing.
Contacted customer support and they tried to update my HOPPER but still the programing for Fox is not listed.
They tell me the only thing I can do is complain as several others have.

Desired outcome: Provide the same availabilities as the other channels

DISH Network Hbo $10 lifetime offer submitted prior to june 2018.

Customer # [protected] for almost 9 years. About 5 years ago I accepted a $10 offer for HBO for my life as a Dish customer. I understand why it was not available starting around June, 2018. HBO is now available and our agreement should be recognized. Dish has reneged on that contract. I understand you have a contract with HBO but you had a contract with me first! The $10/month HBO must be reinstated as per our agreement.

DISH Network HBO Max

Dish advertises that you can now get HBO MAX on the dish network. Not true. When you sign up they tell you you can only watch HBO MAX on your phone it is not available through any of the Dish Network devises, Hopper, Joey Etc. We are now back to 1955 having to watch movies on a 4" screen. Of course AT&T is also to blame as they were withholding this service from LG and Dish because they want you to watch Direct TV instead.

My Complaint:
I had Tailgater service with DISH (account noted above). I live in Prineville, Oregon. I have lived in Prineville Oregon since Feb. 2018. I obtained the tailgaiter In March 2018.

In July 2020, I went to California and camped at a Regional Park located at 16700 Euclid Ave, Chino, CA. I camped for one week. Previously, my Tailgater was on pause. Once my campground was set up, I called DISH to activate my Tailgater while I was camping (in my travel trailer) for the one week. Once I returned to my home in Prineville, Oregon I put my Tailgater service back on pause. I paid the fee for the month of active service including a .90cent State/Local Tax (Sales). I kept all my payments current.

In April 2021, I went to a streaming service and smart TV in my camping trailer. I sold my equipment. I paid my early termination fee of $260.00. I told the person I talked to that I was willing to pay for non-return of the equipment since I sold it. He said, "we have to charge you $15.00 for the box to return the equipment in". I told him why charge me for a box when I am willing to pay for the unreturned equipement since I sold it. He replied that's just how it works. I told him sold it and will not be returning the equipment. So, unhappily I paid the $15.00 (Begrudgingly). I never received the return box to send back the equipment in, thus DISH made $15.00 off me with no box ever being sent.

Now, I have been billed the $148.00 for the failure to return the equipment. I will be paying that today (no problem). However, I was also charged $11.47 in State/Local Tax (Sales). I called customer service, spoke with Dutch. I stated State/Local Tax (Sales) is not to be charged in Oregon. I wanted it removed from my final bill. Dutch then advised it's because I live in California. I told him no, I do not live in California, I live in Oregon. He said the last service address was in California. I said I was camping in Chino, CA and shouldn't that be on the bill when I re-activated my Tailgater for the one month in July 2020? He said no that's your service address. I said I paid that bill. How can DISH retroactively charge me for a charge from July 2020! I became very angry, and Dutch hung up on me.

At this point, I am requesting the following:
$15.00 refund for the never received equipment return box
$11.47 in State/Local Tax (Sales) charged to my final bill TO BE REMOVED!

DISH Network Customer service

I live in a duplex and someone lives behind me .. pulling up into my driveway A dish worker was getting out. I ask him to let me in and he can park behind me. It's my late sons birthday and I just wanted to go home. He ignored me. He could've moved up or let me in and park behind me. He refused to do either. So mean and rude.

DISH Network Dish movie is the wrong movie

I searched for the 2020 verison of Emma and bought it to rent it and it is not the correct movie. This needs to be fixed.

Desired outcome: Change the movie to the right one and give back money.

why doesn't dish resolve the channel 419 problem.i miss the giant games. it isn't fair! i am a widower. i have been with dish for appproximateky 4 yrs. sports programing is a part of my life. it is not fair to pay for a certain program and later have one deleted! unhappy customer...

DISH Network Dish tv company

I had dish TV for over 2 years. I canceled it and they told me that I had an early termination fee of $180. I told them no I was not paying that. Canceled my debit card that I had used with them. Somehow they got my American express card number and put the $180 on it. I DID NOT GIVE THEM PERMISSION TO PUT ANYTHING ON MY CREDIT CARD. To me that is fraud. I don't remember even using this card with them.

DISH Network My dish website

I log in to rent a movie on-demand, but can not. All of the links on the login page are unclickable except the feedback button. I left this same feedback several times and the problem is still the same. I can do nothing on the login page except leave my feedback. Could some please fix the web page so it works? It's been 2 weeks now and it is still broken. I can not use my rental certificate because your site won't let me.

DISH Network Unauthorized charges

We found out today that we have recurring unauthorized charges on our bill since April 2021. Apparently, someone was watching porn on our Dish Network, and we had to persistently call several times and talk for over an hour to finally get them to admit that someone CAN connect to your account and watch whatever they want on your dish account and YOU have to pay for it. The best that they could do to refund us was $27.97 while the charges on our bank was over $200. Per month! This is horrible, and the fact that we had to pester and annoy them to get them to admit that it is possible. The first phone call, we were told it was impossible and then the lady rudely disconnected the phone. It wasn't until I brought up the connection on my laptop and phone that the next person we called finally admitted that it was possible. And you guys didn't resolve anything! We're punished for it, and the person watching porn on our account is rewarded for their bad behavior. You have no means to protect your customers from this. Horrible service, horrible people. Don't get Dish Network, unless you want to be charged for someone's porn addiction.

Desired outcome: Wanted a refund for the money. Was given a measly offering instead.

DISH Network Sr operations supervisor #id dj9

I called today to resolve an issue on my on demand dish #[protected] on a reoccurring bill. Sr, operations agent DJ9 not only did not help us but was unwilling to empathize with our situation. If this is the best customer service agent you have you are in deep trouble because you will lose your paying customers fast. I later called and spoke to Cristina another person #TJN that helped me with my issue and resolved my concerns.

Desired outcome: evaluate customer service skills of existing supervisors DJ9
