Direct Expresscustomer service - lack of it

The card will be declined every once in a while for no good reason. Online or in a brick and mortar store. It declined this morning. I have made numerous attempt to talk to a rep at Direct Express but the system has hung up on me 4 times after I get through the phone tree and get in the hold queue. The one time it did not hang up on me I was told the wait was 45 minutes at least. Unfortunately this is not an isolated incident. Over the past few years each and every time I have tried to contact someone from DE the system has hung up on me. Poor service. They know no one is going to do anything about it so they do not care. If this was another banking institution their customer service would expected to be much higher than what it is. But, they know they have people under their thumb and do not care at all. It is not their money after all. I wish there was another government supported option. And I wish there was a place to really take the complaint to. They do this and worse to too many people
