Del Taco review: Service

On 11/30/23 at approximately 11:41 AM my friend Kathy and I ordered lunch at the 786 W Telegraph St. Washington, UT Del Taco location. I had a VIP Guest card that had been issued to my friend, Barbara Christensen last June at the Sunset Dr., St. George, UT location for $20. She purchased it for my BD. The manager at the Telegraph location would not accept the VIP card for my $10.78 purchase as she said it was invalid and whoever issued it at the Sunset location did it inappropriately. I asked her if she could please call the Sunset location and speak with a manager there as the card had the initials MW. She rudely said NO and would not listen to what I was trying to convey to her. Then to make matters worse our fish tacos were cold upon issue to us, and she would not warm them for us as she claimed it was our fault for them being cold and she had no warmer anyway. She claimed that the fish tacos came out and had been sitting while we were discussing my VIP card issue, and it was our fault. Yet, we never had our order called to us until we got our drinks and sat down. The woman has no social skills and I'm sorry that I did not get her name, but she could at least have offered us fresh fish tacos. She is Hispanic as so am I. I too speak the language fluently. The talking between she and her employees was about names, not sure whether naming babies or names of people but she sure was not pleasant to me and Kathy. Needless to say, our lunch date was ruined not only by her surly attitude but by a horrible lunch. The fish tacos were 'cold' and horrible tasting. We shall never frequent the Telegraph St. location again and I called Barbara, and she is taking the $20. VIP card back to the Sunset location to hopefully straighten things out or at least get her money back.
