My daughter had her "Find the Dress" day in March and picked a beautiful dress. Ok no problems there. Got it and all the accessories paid for, in full. We got her all set up for the fitting on the 2nd of April. Her dress NEVER shipped so they had to hunt for the one she tried on, floor stock. That right there should have been some type of percentage off, not just the 10% new bride discount. Yes the dress was in good condition but not pristine like they claimed. When we got there, the girl up front asked why we were there and walked us to the back. Not once did she let us know that the dress was in the back and not with the alterations. Good thing she had a few inches cut off because the hem was terrible. Then we had to pay nearly $600 for the alterations, SERIOUSLY?!?! What is sad is that not 1 person could tell her where exactly the dress was that was supposed to be in. They have absolutely no concept of looking to see the day of alterations in conjunction with the arrival of the dress. The dress was supposed to be ready on the 6th of this month(May). The seamstress working on the dress got sick(yes I understand this as well, people get sick) and now another guarantee that the dress will be ready on the 13th. In an instance of a seamstress getting sick, there should be another that knows what it going on and can hop to it so it will be ready, always have 2 knowing what is going on with 1 dress in cases like this. Especially for the price that was paid. We went to the store to talk with the manager about all this and was told it would be 10 minutes. We waited nearly an hour with 3 hungry kids. As we were walking out is when they decided that they would get the manager. All they had to tell us was that she was at lunch and we would have went to lunch and returned to talk. There is no guarantee the dress will be done Friday. So far the only person that we did not have problems with was the man that did her "find the dress". He was great. And I have found out that the particular store we went to has a lot of problems of the employees not really knowing their job.
