Crunch Fitness gym

I canceled my membership after the year was up. I paid the next month in advance then canceled.
Crunch gym told me everything was done.
Month later they charged me $36.27, $36.27, $26.65 on dec 2, 9&27.
I called 5 times talked to two managers and they keep giving me the run around!
They keep pointing finger at accounting. Accounting told me it was fixed.
Now I have to go in there again for second time and argue about the theft of my money from my bank account! (I'll go next week dec 23)
Why if this such a difficult thing to do?
Or are they in the habit of scanning customers hoping they do not read their bank statements?
This is why I will never go back to crunch and I'll be sure to let everyone know about this scam at this location.
Now give me all of the money back they have stolen from me please.

Crunch Fitness gym membership

Unfortunately, after my experience at Crunch - Green Brook this week (11/21), I will most likely be canceling my Crunch membership all together. I originally signed up at the Crunch in Woodbridge and made sure I wanted a membership with classes and ALL locations, so I was told to buy the Peak Plus membership. After going to the Green Brook location for over three months, multiple times a week, going to classes and using all the amenities, I was told that I no longer have membership here when I scanned in. When I asked what the problem was, they told me I needed to have the peak plus membership and I said that I do. They went on to explain that this location is a select location, so the memberships I have does not apply. I said OK, I understand but why am I finding this out three months later and why have the employees not been checking my membership every time I've scanned in. I said I was willing to buy a membership here and the worker stared at me and kept saying it's a "select" gym, as if I don't belong here. The manager eventually came out and was not willing to help me and I cried in front of everyone because that's how rude all the workers were, they practically laughed at me, and kept insisting that the gym is select even after I said I was willing to buy the new membership. I said I currently have a student price with the peak plus so I was hoping to get the same thing at this location, and again I was told that this "select" gym does not have student memberships. I received no apologies and the manager was not willing to help me buy a membership.
Regardless if my peak plus does not go towards a select gym, I'm still a Crunch member and the customer service I received by both the workers and the manager is completely unacceptable. Why would the manager not want me to keep going to this gym after three months and help me get a deal to stay here? Truly a traumatizing experience. After all, they lacked to check my membership every single time I scanned in for over 3 months, so I truly believed there was no issue with my membership. A gym who value costumers would have been willing to talk me through their memberships and help me purchase something to get me to keep staying at their gym instead of kicking me out. Like I said, I still pay money to Crunch Fitness every month. Where is the respect and value for costumers?

Crunch Fitness membership

To whom it may concern. I purchased a peak membership at crunch fitness gym in upland California for the simple reason that could take a guest any time I go to workout. When I purchased my membership I was told that I could take my son as long as he is accompanied by an adult in which I have taken him on different occasions. My son is now currently 16 years of age we decided to go to the gym yesterday and I was told that he no longer can attend the gym and that he had to purchase his own membership. Not only was this millennial rude but we couldn't even identify who she was because she wasn't showing her name badge but why would anyone assume that every 16 year old is capable of affording a membership regardless the cost. This is not what I signed up for nor was I told that at certain point my boy wouldn't be welcome. So I guess crunch would be willing to lose 4-5 memberships cuz I will tell my family members to cancel because they will not allow my son to go as my guest in which my membership allows me to do is take a guest with me every time I attend the gym. I've taken my daughter and I've taken my wife with no issues. It's sad that crunch is losing their focus on what's important and that they allow people like the one last night work for them. Please let me know if these are the rules so then I can cancel memberships and take me business elsewhere.

Crunch Fitness group trainer mike

Hello Liza,
I recently signed up to crunch Van Nuys from Northridge location. I've been an active member for over 3 years now. I have never met anyone in my life as rude, disgusting and disrespectful as the small group instructor Mike at the Van Nuys location. First and Foremost Mike needs to learn how to communicate and talk to people.

Today I worked out at for my 3rd or 4th time at this location I can't believe I was disrespected and called an ugly [censored] I did not know about the group session, time or area where it's done. I was working out by the weights on the blue rug as I often started to do since I started working out here I was rudely interrupted by Mike in a very disrespectful tone and manner as if I knew that there was the small group workout session in that area. (Had no clue) as the Crichton's in Northridge classes are held on a " private area"
Mike then proceeded to talk to me very rudely and disrespectful stating that we're about to have a class here and you NEED to move Now.

I stated to him wow is that the way to talk to people. He then walked off and grabbed someone else who name was Troy, Troy was polite and explained to me that there is a group session starting in the area I was in and if I can please move. I then stated yes I can move and asked Troy if he could help me move my weights I was using to a different area where I was welcomed to workout. Mike then started pestering me and saying rude things as I walked away with Troy. I asked if he said something? He was very childish with his reply and stuck his tough out at me like a child, I laughed and walked away. Troy helped me and then explained when and where the session took place, I told him thank you for his help and he left..

After about 10 mins I finished my workout and walked over to put the weights away I walked passed Mike with my headphones on and I guess he thought I wouldn't hear him. As I walked pass to grab my things to go Mike called me an ugly [censored]! Wow seriously! What type of people do you guys have training and working at crunch? I'm firstly sending this email to you, I spoke to the manager Angel who was such a sweetheart and provided me this info, also I will make sure this gets to corporate as well, this was a horrible experience and needs a response or resolve. People like mike should not be working there if he doesn't know how to treat people. Your bad side should never come out or be displayed at work what so ever, so unprofessional and unpleasant.

This was so horrible and I fear coming back into this location..

Crunch Fitness services

When I was signed up for my membership, by a gentleman named James, I was interested in the personal trainer for $99, but as I told him, I am under a dr's care and would need clearance but didn't want to miss out on the deal. He suggested I sign up to lock me in at $99 but promised that I would not be charged until I am cleared by my Dr. I am only allowed to do walking and biking at this time and that obviously does not need a personal trainer. I have yet to be cleared by my Dr and may not ever. But my account was charged the $99 and I was told to bad I wasn't getting a refund by another gentleman named Cody. I feel that I have been mislead on the situation and am displeased at this whole ordeal. I have left several messages with James and he doesn't seem to want to return my calls to talk about this situation.

Crunch Fitness refund for services not rendered

I am requesting a refund for personal training service not rendered at crunch fitness in fall river. Unlike a standard business contract, there was no paperwork, just the training indicating for me to sign on the electronic signage pad for my training package. Never once did he mention if and how I could get a copy of the contract. Any legitimate and ethical business would advise you with the terms and conditions of any agreement. Again not a crunch. It seems like everything is top-secret. Therefore I am requesting a refund for training services not rendered, and I am getting the runaround. Their training contracts are a scam. Everything is electronically signed, and you get no copy or documentation as to what you are signing except for the trainer telling you to sign here electronically.

Crunch Fitness gym membership

I was under the impression that my gym was closing when I saw an eviction notice on their door, and I heard the same from other people.
I went and got a membership elsewhere, and just yesterday Crunch decided to charge me for the months they missed out on when they were MIA.
They aren't answering their emails, and when I phoned they told me I have to come INTO the gym in order to cancel.
Shouldn't it have been cancelled by default when they close for a few months, and then randomly opened and decided to start charging me again?

Crunch Fitness Cancellation

Hi. I would like an email address to complain to someone at your corporate location. I moved from the us to the UK in July. I contacted crunch fitness to cancel my membership. And was told that I could email the location to cancel I confirmed that I could do this via Facebook messenger

I then emailed again to cancel and didn't get a reply.

Crunch continued to charge my account for the money. Without my knowledge.

I then get an email from collections Despite my having thought to have cancelled my account

I then get a call from a very rude woman called Nikki
Telling me I can't cancel over the phone or email. They need a signature I explained that I can't facilitate that Cause I can't just pop to the location as I'm 4.5k miles away As I'm in a different country

I've just had to pay an over due fee. For no reason. As you should have cancelled my membership

I want this money refunded I was told the reason it wasn't cancelled was that the previous person didn't manage the inbox. How is it my problem that emails aren't monitored previously

I followed all steps to cancel I was advised from a different country

And neither the manager or the general manager were willing to help I want Refund if this money

Crunch Fitness promised refund which never happened. I have emails as proof

I was a member of crunch fitness in Woodbridge nj for a long time. I contacted manager jose from this location because unfortunately, I was injured and just had major back surgery. He promised me he would cancel my membership (which he finally did after almost 5 months of emails back and forth) I was promised by this manager he would refund me one monthly fee and one yearly fee, since he promised to cancel my membership for so long, I was charged a yearly fee. I have emails going back and forth with this manager and promised refund and will gladly supply all emails to whomever needs to see them. I just had surgery and do NOT need this aggravation. This manager is horrible. He continues to promise me my refunds and never does. Enough is enough. I have emails for proof and will be contacting the BBB. This is so extreme unprofessional and he needs to be held accountable for his actions. I will not stop until everyone knows what lieing thief's this company is. Makes me sick how they handle their customer service. I Want MY REFUND THAT WAS PROMISED TO ME. The manager Jose even has read back my credit card number, so he knows where to send it but refuses to do it after he promised for almost 5 months. Disgusting absolutely disgusting. Preying on injured and disabled people this way is wrong and i will make sure everyone knows how they treat their customers.

Crunch Fitness management malpractice

My name is ricardo gonzalez, member since this location was open back many years ago, yesterday 19/2/2019 at around 16:30 in the afternoon, I was at johns creek location must about to get home, I was approached by carmelo, he told me I can't have gym bags on the floor and I should put it in the locker room, I said that many people including trainers from the gym do so every day, he told me there was a policy for that, I suggested want to see it so in that way I would have my mind clear why trainers and other people do not comply, at the end I told him to please wait a moment while I finished.

I went to the front desk to speak to him, and the suddenly this guy damien was in the middle of us trying to argue with me about him been the manager or so, I made the gesture like do jot interfere here the conversation is flowing this way for now, he grab my hand, which is ilegal to touch me without my consent, and went aggressive to me, he even try to call, a mob movement, other trainers like they would hit me, I told him don't ever touch me again, then they give me a copy of the rule and now I know the law should be applied to every one including trainers and staff.

The situation is that we was aggressive and touched me, I could be escalated to anywhere if not for carmelo, you should educate the personal for this behaviors so they won't have any legal repercussions.

Thank you.

Crunch Fitness employee disrespecting a customer

Hi My name is Julia Hakanen and I go to the Crunch fitness at the San Dimas, CA location. I've been a member for 3 years now and this is the first time I felt like I am being attacked by an employee. I recently got a rude text message from one of the employee saying that "don't come back to the gym anymore" and "every employee at the gym thinks you're insane and crazy." Very unprofessional of him and them. My mom is disappointed and I will be transferring to a different Crunch fitness.

Crunch Fitness customer service

Hello! My name is Alexandria. I had a gym membership at a Fall River, MA location. My fiancé & I ended up having to cancel it due to financial issues. My fiancé's membership also had an issue where the person who signed him up messed up on his checking account number. He received a free month & was to be billed $14.99 every month after. The payments never came out after the free month. He thought they only gave him a free month instead of the whole membership so, he never went back. We received a letter in the mail stating he owes $111. We went to the location to dispute the payments & explain what had happened. The manager there (Sarah) gave us an awful attitude. She told us she does not care what money comes in & out of there as she still gets paid. She told us she could not wave all the payments and that their protocol is to call the member 3 days after a missed payment. We never received any calls. My fiancé showed her his phone as he has calls in the call log since 2018. Not a single one was from them. She gave me the number to ABC financial which, I will be contacting tomorrow. As we were leaving she said " oh & what you didn't want to workout?" My fiancé said " um I guess not." She then smiled and said "we'll see this is what happens. You said you've dealt with ABC before so, you must have had an issue at another gym & canceled too. You keep starting & stoping which isn't going to get you anywhere. So please find something for you guys to get healthy." I am BEYOND offended. This gym says they are about body positivity & not fat shaming people but, the own manager here is fat shaming us. I would like to speak with someone on the matter that is higher up than this franchise. Please email or call me back, it is highly appreciated.

Thank you

Crunch Fitness a front desk employee who displayed gender bias

front visited Crunch around 11:20 am on 8/19/19 and was in a hurry as I had exactly one hour to work out . The employee took my address, but claimed he could not find my membership, that it was inactive.I gave him my phone and ditto. This was 5 minutes in and I'm seeing my workout time slip away. I spelled my name Norma, three times, but each time he continued looking for Norman( A masculine name!). When I pointed out to him that Norman was a masculine name, he still insisted on looking for Norman! As a result of this employee refusing to listen, I wasted 10 minutes and had to cancel my workout as I had an appointment to get to after and would now be late if I worked out.
Is happened before: A male employee thinks it's funny to call me Norman because Im muscular . It was either intentional or he has no business working the check in if his skills are so meager. Have you ever met a woman named Norman? Probably not.

Crunch Fitness unsanitary conditions

I informed a female representative that the woman's showers were covered in period blood and if they can replace the shower curtains, I come back weeks later and the shower curtains are still there. The bathrooms are never cleans and there's poop stains on the Men's showers curtains as well and the air vents are falling with dust . The showers are always clogged with hair and it's smells like poop and sewer in the shower drain

Crunch Fitness customer service

Your ticket ID is #CM00082451

Ticket message:

To Member Services Department,

Today, 8/14/2019 at approximately 12:30 PM I entered the Crunch Gym facility behind four other guests. The attendant/employee, [name withheld], was the only individual near the check-in area at this time. [Name withheld] was stocking a refrigerator and the storage closet from a pallet next to the check in desk. When she walked out of the storage closet she may have noticed four guests waiting to be checked in; however, she chose to by-pass the check-in process and admit each quest without checking their status (i.e., member or guest, etc.). I was surprised by her nonchalant attitude as several guests entered the gym at her command. With all the turmoil (i.e., homeless people congragating around the facility and coming into the gym and frequent visits by the Riverside Police Department) recently, I was taken back by her insensitive demeanor. Without proper check-in she may have let in a violent individual and put all members at great risk.

This week I received an email letter from [name withheld] and I had a question regarding the letter. While [name withheld] was ignoring members or guests, as she stocked the refrigerator and storage closet, I tried to politely obtain her attention; however, she chose to ignore me. When she exited from the closet I had a brief opportunity to ask her a question (e.g., Did you send a letter about renewing membership or was it a generated letter from corporate?). She continued to stock the cooler and closet, as she entered the closet it appeared that she may have provided an answer, but she was in the closet facing an opposite direction from where I stood; therefore, I could not understand her. Again, while I waited for her to exit the closet she stopped and glared at me. I said I did not hear you Sara, you were in the closet and all I heard was mumbled words (e.g., I described the broken sounds made in the closet). She immediately took offense to my statement and said something in the lines of "I don't talk like that #$%^ that get out of my gym." She threw her hands up in disgust and flailed around in anger. Again, I was taken back by her insensitivity and pure disregard for good customer service. I felt threatened by her aggressive behavior and the only thing I could do was say NO, you leave the gym. I went to the exercise bike to begin my routine and the manager and assistant manger approached me.

The manager told me that [name withheld] said I used profanity, which is a direct lie. I do not appreciate her telling lies to others to try to gain a favor or support her careless behaviors. After I told the manager I did not use profanity he told me Sara has the right to kick you out of the gym, you do not have the right to do that to her. He asked me to leave the gym for one day; I complied. As I was exiting [name withheld]said BYE [name withheld]with negative connotations attached as if she were ready to fight. My reply was you were wrong [name withheld] I do not deserve to be treated with disrespect. Again, in negative connotation she said BYE [name withheld] loudly as to prove a point that she can humiliate customers in front of others. I deserve an apology from [name withheld], and Crunch Gym. It is imperative that [name withheld]gets help and more training in customer service or potentially a new position where she does not get an opportunity to humiliate long term members or anyone else. I feel very hurt by her poor, insensitive behaviors. I would like to file a formal complaint against [name withheld] of Crunch Gym on Hole Ave in Riverside CA for treating me poorly and causing undue stress and anxiety. Who can I talk to? Please Help!

On a different note, the employee stands just outside the front entrance smoking. Also, loudly she has threatened to put members in collections. Just yesterday she intentionally ignored a young man whom had a question. She was at a work desk preoccupied with her cell phone. This gal is way out of line. Get her some professional advice.

Crunch Fitness monopolizing of multiple exercise machines by a few guests

A few days ago, I sent a complaint to my local Crunch Fitness. I have not heard back. The problem I have, is that some weight lifters "Reserve" two or three stations each, preventing other guests from using the equipment. For example, I have seen times when three different weight lifters monopolized a total of nine different machines. I think this is unfair to other guests. They monopolize machines by living drinking cups on seats of unused machines, as well as duffle bags and other personal items on multiple machines.

Following is the message I sent to the local gym:

I have been a member of Crunch Gym for over a year. I went into the Crunch gym at 9661 E Stockton, in Elk Grove, CA, 95624; to work out this morning (8/8/19) . I left frustrated, not having the opportunity to work out. Half the machines I wanted to use were in use, and the other half were "reserved" by other guests.

I understand, and support, first-come-first-served use of machines. I get it. That is the way it should be. I have no problem with that.

However, there are a group of very dedicated weight lifters who appear to believe they have the right to monopolize two or three machines at a time, to support their workout program. I have observed that this is a common practice at this gym. I don't go to the gym to get into a conflict. The offenders know what they're doing and are unapologetic. Also, I shouldn't have to run to the front desk, making myself conspicuous, and create a scene, just to have the opportunity to use these machines. If these weight lifters want the right to monopolize unused machines, perhaps they should buy their own gym. I'm sure they are not paying two or three membership fees that gives them the right to monopolize all these unused machines. Otherwise, perhaps Crunch doesn't need my membership

Crunch Fitness billing

sneaky billing practices! Crunch Fair Lawn moved or closed on July 31/2019. Other locations outside of fair lawn is out of the question for me. Last billing was July 15 that means membership should be active until August 15. I only got half value because they moved to Paramus (same owner) before August began. I never asked for refund for half the month because I could not go to another location once you moved to Paramus. When I came to paramus crunch office to cancel on August 5, they told me that now if I want to cancel I have to pay on Aug 15 - Sep 15. Not only that ethically you have to want to refund members half month because you were closed in Fair Lawn, you actually want me to pay for extra month when you are closed in Fair Lawn. What kind of scamy billing practice is that? Customer support for the Crunch franchise is the worse I have seen, there is no corporate customer support phone number.
