Cricket Wireless double charging

I paid for my boyfriends phone one time and they kept taking it out of my account. Every month for 2 years, then when I started to make complaints, they started taking it out 2X every month. I finally got a hold of some one and had the it finally removed from my account which the phone never was, They told me I could have his phone blocked off of my card I repeatedly asked if it was not going to effect my phone and they said it would not. Come the next billing cycle they blocked my debit card for my account also. When I asked why they told me they should have informed me that my card is permanatly blocked from use, ever again.I had to go to an ACE checking and get a card to put money on to have my phone paid for, then I had to rein roll in my plan again, which cost me another $5.00 because I used the phone to call them. I found this out when I went to the Cricket store to see Why I got billed again. I have been down this road before when AT&T merged with a cell phone company, that I stopped using years ago, do to the shady practice I really liked Cricket before I never had any problems until they merged. I am now looking for a new phone service as I am tired of being taken advantage of by AT&T Thanks to Bush.

Cricket Wireless scam

A month ago, June 18th, we visited a Cricket store by Kroger Grocery on Shiloh Blvd, Garland. My daughter explained to the agents I needed a $25 a month phone to help cut expenses. I was given a choice of which phone I would prefer; I said one with a keyboard large enough I could read it and the letters were not too small for my chubby fingers. We were sold an Android phone, a smart phone. I could not keep my current phone, though I owned it, because it did not have a Simcard in it. We paid the $87.87 and were told the price included the $50 rebate and the price included the activation fee. We asked several times if the price was $25 a month and were assured $25 even including taxes and fees. So quite a shock today when I was text by Cricket to pay my bill or my phone would be cut-off. So I dutifully went on line to find a $60 bill. Needless to say I was shook. I tried the online chat to no avail. So I called and that agent said yes $60 was correct as I have a smart phone. I said I only use it to talk and text. He said it's capabilities are more. I told him We verified with the agent that I was purchasing a Talk and Text plan and had been assured it was $25 inclusive a month. So I booked over to the Cricket off to give the agent(s) a piece of my mind just to find walla! NEW agents. They could not help the phone is mine to do with as I will. I could get the $25 phone, however, it has to be a flip-phone. Time to take this to our pre-paid attorney(s).

Cricket Wireless arbitrary service charge for paying bill

If you walk into any Cricket store and want to pay your bill, they immediately tack on a 3.00 charge just for the opportunity of paying your bill at their store. I am not aware of any other company (with the exception of Verizon (?)) that does such a thing. Imagine all those 3.00 charges x 12 per annum x customer base. That's a huge amount of money. I am very surprised that a class action lawsuit has not been filed concerning this. Seems ridiculous .

Cricket Wireless no empathy for family emergency

We had a family emergency and needed to get a two day courtesy extension for our phone service and Cricket Wireless very coldly refused. The nature of the emergency was that my wife's sister in California lapsed into the terminal stage of her multiple myeloma and my wife needed to have the phone stay on in order to communicate with family members. We told them we could pay in two days but they refused to give an extension. We are completely disgusted with the so-called "New Cricket" and feel that this is no way to treat loyal customers after four years. We will be dropping Cricket and switching to another cell phone service provider just as quickly as they refused to help us. Any company with that cold of an attitude deserves a cold slap in the face from its customers.

Cricket Wireless porting issue

This company is the worst. I placed an order 3 weeks ago online for a
sim card and plan. It was then cancelled by your company 3 days later.
Which is fine because my order was never sent out. But last Saturday I
decided to switch cell companies and was told that it was not possible
as Cricket has a lock on my phone number. Firstly, I never was a
customer of Cricket because your company cancelled
my order. Well, it is now Thursday evening and I have spent numerous
hours during the week trying talk to someone about a porting issue. I
even was able to get a hold of someone in the porting department who
said it was somehow locked and IT was going to fix the problem. She
said it would take 24 hours to fix. Well that was Monday, and I still
cannot have my number ported nor can I get a hold of anyone in your
company that will either answer the phone, or speak English enough to
understand what the problem is. I have been without my number for
almost a week because of the negligence of your company and I am almost
at the point of contacting a lawyer. You guys need to get your act
together. I need this fixed NOW because I am tired of wasting my
minutes that I pay for from another company trying to call your company
to get my problem fixed.

Cricket Wireless service / fraud

On May 19, 2014 my husband broke his phone. I called to file a claim to have it replaced and was informed that I would have to pay an additional $70 to have it replaced if they accepted the claim. I decided that we would just go to the store and purchase a new phone rather than be sent a refurbished for the same price. I called the store to make sure that their system was up and running so that we could do this. I was told it was and we drove the 50 miles to the nearest store. Got there and was told that their payment system was down so we drove another 15 miles to their next nearest store. We sat at that location for well over an hour and after that was informed that due to their merger with AT&T that all systems were down and could not purchase a new phone. We went to another carrier because of this and when i contacted cricket customer service I was placed on hold for over a half an hour to speak with a supervisor. I was then informed by the supervisor that we would not receive a refund for the full months payment that was just made a day prior to the phone being damaged.

Yes. I too have had MANY problems with my Samsung Vitality phone- up to the point where, after charging my phone up to the point when its completely charged, upon starting the phone up, it would say on my phone "charge your phone, as there is less than 4 % left to your phone." This happened almost every time I tried to charge up phone. The only way I would go back with Cricket is if they gave me a replacement phone of some type - a phone that WORKS ! Even a refurbished phone, if necessary. Sorry Cricket - you deserve a BIG TIME CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against you. Stop defrauding the public !

Cricket Wireless inexcusably bad

I was going to keep this short, but I decided my pain may save someone from making a huge mistake in the future.

On 4/22/2014 I called Cricket customer service regarding adding a line of service and buying another phone for my mother, who lives in another state. I asked the following questions BEFORE making any purchase 1. Can I add a line of service and buy a phone for my mother who lives in another state and area code? 2. Can I add the monthly service bill to my current one and have them both drawn from my bank account? 3. Can my mother have her current number (from another state and another area code) ported to this new cricket phone.

The answer to all the above was "absolutely". I subsequently purchased the phone and plan online and had the phone shipped to my mother.

Fast forward to 4/24/2014. Mom calls to tell me she has the phone, but it won't activate. Not a big deal, when you make a purchase like this, your account may be frozen for 24-48 hours. A couple of hours later the hold was removed.

The following morning I called my mother to inquire how her venture into smart phone ownership was going, to which she replied
"Helen in the porting department says she can't port my number." So began my venture into the slimy, confusing and inept world of Cricket customer service.

I will omit about 15 phone calls here and summarize. You, in fact, can NOT port a number from one market to an account from another market in the Cricket wireless network. I don't care what "Mike" or "Billy" or "Helen", from Cricket's offshore customer service department tell you, It can NOT be done. I heard "We can't do that" so many times it made my head want to explode. Keep in mind, I asked no less than 5 times to have my complaints escalated. Of all those requests, I was transferred to the cancellation department once, and was never allowed to speak to a supervisor.

Finally, having been beaten down and defeated I simply asked for a refund for the phone, the activation (28 USD rather than the advertised 15) and the service I had pre-paid. Not so fast young Jedi. You only get a refund for the phone and only after you pay the return shipping. Today, after my bill was withdrawn for the next month, of course, I kicked Cricket to the curb once and for all.

I was charged for a product and service I could not use. Not because I was ignorant about their policies, but because an either ignorant, or shady customer service rep told me in advance that I could.

Spare yourselves the pain and buy your phones and service from someone...heck...ANYONE ELSE.

Cricket Wireless service/employees

My phone has had no service since 2/18/14 (Today is 2/25/14) I went to the arvada store on tuesday, they said they had it fixed. Tuesday evening I had no service.. Wednesday no ride (I am disabled & don't drive)... Thursday, they also said it was fixed... Again, by the time I got home, no service.. Sunday... Back again ! Pablo called the corporate office, they troubleshooted the phone. I callled for my ride... Got home... & no service ! Tuesday... Once again got a ride to the cricket store (Pissed off at this time) the fellow troubleshooted my phone again, then told me that I needed to go to the corporate office they would take care of me. I begged my driver lady (Who is fed up with me & my phone to the point of cussing) to take me to the wheat ridge corporate office. Gabby called th supplier & ordered another phone. S o o o o... Now, I have to wait for a new phone to arrive.
I depend on my phone for medical reasons. I have brain damage from a car accident and it's literally my "life line ! I have to contact somebody when I need a ride, but, no ^&%$ing phone !
I was told at the arvada store that I would be compensated at the corporate office for my troubles. Gabby at the corporate office told me that I needed to talk to the arvada office & they would.
I am tired of getting the "run around" I can be "the straw that breaks the crickets back" if this problem is not resolved.
I have absolutely nothing else to do, seeing how I am disabled and tired of being pushed back and forth. This will be fixed, one way or another !

... Sincerely,...
... Troy babb.. ...

Cricket Wireless - refund issue

On 1/9/14 I went on line to the cricket website to pay my January bill. I paid online, with my Mastercard debit card. There was an error message that said my payment didn't go through, so I called the customer service rep & made another payment over the phone. Each payment was for $36.00. On 1/11/14 I viewed my online statement & called the bank which...

Cricket Wireless false advertising and cheating customer

I bought the cricket broadband for wireless internet. It let you choose your prepaid plan. I payed $150 for a $65 monthly pre paid heavy user plan. They promise massive amounts of g's with youtube, pandora, gaming, video, hulu, and up to 5 devices can conect. It says no hidden fees. After I pay my $150, I had about 2 weeks of internet before they said I ran out. My usage was not real heavy. I put $70 on my account that lasted a little over a week. I put another $70 on my account that lasted less then 24 hours! I called customer service, the lady was very rude she raised her voice and would talk over me. That same lady said " we can do whatever we want, including stopping or slowing down your service" they want bank info to just take money out to.

Cricket Wireless fraud

The latest Cricket scam involves the cricket cell phone company committing fraud by Illegally shutting off the phone service to people's phone after the bill has clearly been paid in full!
This has happened to me twice now since the 1st of march & it's now march 11!
The 1st time I called Cricket to find out why my service was disconnected, The UNEDUCATED ### that answered my call attempted to FLAT OUT LIE & tell me theat I hadn't paid my bill even theough I made it known that I had proof that I had paid it on the 1st of the month as I always do and that I had PROOF!
She then called me a liar & attempted to make me pay my bill a 2nd time even after I both informed and educated her that my bank statement was proof that my bill was paid up to date!
After reviewing my account, she even admitted that my payment was received, but then tried to feed me a load of crap claiming that cricket couldn't receive the payment and that my original payment which had already been taken out and posted to my bank account would be refunded in 3 business days!
NO REFUND WAS EVER ISSUED!
The payment had already cleared with my bank so there was nothing to be refunded!
Here it is, now March 11th and Cricket has again Illegally disconnected my service!
They're in for a very rude awakening when I visit the Cricket store today and proceed to viciously educate the ### behind the register and make it known theat I will take legal action against Cricket for FRAUD if they don't restore my service and/or attempt to pull this scam on me again!
Working for Cricket is like working at a fast food joint... NEITHER EDUCATION NOR INTELLIGENCE IS REQUIRED!
The other SCAM that Cricket pulls on people has to do with thier garbage prepaid phones, They advertise that after 90 days of service, a customer can switch from prepaid service to regular service but when someone attempts to make the switch, Crickett tells them that it can't be done or that they have to purchase a new phone, This is an ILLEGAL BAIT & SWITCH kinda SCAM that Cricket has been pulling on unsuspecting customers in recent years!
This company needs to be put in their damn place!

I found a charge on my checking account this morning for $100 from ckt Cricket Comm. I don't have Cricket, so I attempted to both email and call customer service, however, you cannot get through to anyone unless you have an account with them, so I am going to my bank after work today to check into this, and I'm hoping they may be able to give me more information.

I then got it my car and cried on my way home. Frustrated because I am being held accountable for a charge that I am not at fault for. Frustrated the lack of empathy, sympathy and an apology from the seat warmer named T. Frustrated because the CSA was just as intelligent as T.

So, now, thanks to the super secret location and phone number to actual Cricket which prevents any direct contact with those in power, I have to figure out what to do financially with the $13.00 Cricket left me with.

Cricket Wireless unexplainable/uncorrectable auto top-up failure and service expired

This is a copy of an email (edited to remove personal content) that I sent to: [protected]@cricketcommunications.com

Note: the email was returned as "undeliverable" with the following message:
"Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
[protected]@cricketcommunications.com
Your message can't be delivered because delivery to this address is restricted."

Cricket,

This is regarding phone # [protected].

In the fall of 2012 I signed up for the $25 Paygo plan and enrolled in the AutoTopUp service. The phone is a dedicated emergency/roadside assistance communications unit which lives in my vehicle and is only turned on or used while the vehicle is in active. All proceeded well until the date 2/21/2013 whenn a 10 year old checked the phone after we got back from a trip and found a text message:

"ALERT! Your Cricket PAYgo account expired yesterday. Top-up now to restart your service. You have 60 days to top-up, or your account will be cancelled."

A check of my banking records revealed that no recurring payment had been recorded since December of 2012.

An online check of my Cricket account revealed that I was still enrolled in Auto Top-up.

I called the 800 Cricket number and there were no options to address my specific situation. There was an option to make a payment but I chose not to do so as although it would "restart" the service it would not deal with the problem of how this happened in the first place.

I called Cricket location whenre I initially signed up for the services and the customer rep said that she couldn't provide an answer/solution to my problem as it was in her view a "billing" problem.

I called another Cricket customer service/billing Number and spoke with:

"Kay" Rep # 0178- Payment Supervisor at the "Payment Processing Center"

Her recommended course of action was to "make a Payment" and then "re-Enroll" in the auto Top-up program. I chose not to do so as it would not provide any answers as to how the auto system failed in the first place nor would it ensure that the service would continue uninterrupted.

"Kay" was at a loss for explaining how the failure occurred or how to prevent it from happening again. She suggested that I contact Cricket "customer Service again even though I had made her aware that the previous contact with the automated menu system had no options to deal with my specific problem. I had made her aware that the "customer service" department of Cricket was directing me to "billing" department and vice versa. This is a perfect example of a "circular" service path that fails to provide genuine results or good customer service.

Now for the part that I demand that Cricket take steps to resolve:

Like I said before, I checked my online Cricket account and verified that I was indeed enrolled in the auto Top-up service. (see attached Pdf file)

After speaking with Kay (Rep# 0178 at the Payment Processing Center...), I received another text message on my phone:

"ALERT! At your request, you have been unenrolled from Cricket Auto Top-up. If you did not make this request, or to re-enroll, call 800-CRICKET."

Most assuredly I did NOT make this request nor take any online actions to make this occur. I checked online again and found that according to the web page I was NOT enrolled in Auto Top-up. (see second attachment)

The focus of my communication exchanges with all the Cricket personnel was to find out how the original auto top-up service had failed and to get that original service working instead of just making a payment (additional processing fee...) or "re-enrolling" in a service that fails without warning or with unexplainable/unpredictable causes.

Yet someone took the action of unenrolling me in the auto top-up service without my permission/consent and also without informing me beforehand that it would be done.

I consider this action to be a breach of faith and also quite possibly a breach of the contract between myself and "Cricket". Whomever took this action should be disciplined, sent for "re-training", and I should be contacted/informed by the Cricket administrative staff these disciplinary actions have been taken as I am the victim of the aforementioned "unapproved/unsanctionable" actions made by the "rogue" Cricket employee.

On my end I have (as of the sending of this email) contacted another service provider and made arrangements to have that "emergency services" phone/service to protect myself and my family when we are in our vehicle.

You may consider any "contract" or "partnership" between "Cricket" and me to be effectively terminated for just cause and with prejudice.

I will keep an eye out for any "class action suits/settlements" regarding Cricket and will not fail to add my name whennever applicable. I will also be filing an official complaint with the appropriate oversight agencies in the event I am not "satisfied" with your response/actions.

I expect to hear within 10 business days your confirmation that the administrative disciplinary investigation/measures have been initiated.

Cricket Wireless scam and rip off!!!

I purchased (online) a handset from Cricket. Order Date: 2012-11-29 Order Number: [protected] I have not been able to use my Cricket handset since 12/6/12 and still not able to. They sent me a DEFECTIVE handset, it stopped working not even one week after purchase. All day yesterday I spent time on the phone with customer service, the escalation department (#CR1004038), tech support and visited a corporate Cricket store to be told that my insurance did not cover the it (I WAS NEVER TOLD WHAT IS DIDN'T COVER - REQUEST A COPY OF THE CHAT TRANSCRIPT). EVERY rep tells me I need to pay MORE MONEY to get a new handset! I'M NOT GIVING THEM A DIME! I was promised a call back all day yesterday - NOTHING! I call all morning today EST and got no answer at the escalation dept [protected]), no way to leave a second message and a NEVER ENDING LOOP of the same automated prompts. I call Cricket's customer service (saying that with a laugh) and get Yen ID# 9591 who tells me I need to talk to tech support. Tech support sent me to the insurance company who told me I can't file an insurance claim because it is still covered by Cricket (IT IS TOO SOON) and the insurance with them does not kick in UNTIL AFTER 12/14/12. CRICKET IS TRYING TO DRAG THIS OUT SO I WILL HAVE TO PAY THE INSURANCE TO GET A NEW HANDSET AND THEY GET MORE MONEY. I spoke with Jacob at Esecuritel (insurance company claim number 3569-[protected]) and he also mentioned Cricket has a 30 no questions asked return policy. This is the second time I have heard this AND NO ONE IS HONORING IT! Now I'm on the phone with April (ID#9569AA6272)she sent me back to the online purchase dept (Melvin ID#9591) AGAIN! She said it would and should be replaced since it is less than 30 days! I have spent in two days so far over 7 hours trying to get Cricket to do the right thing! I put a ticket in to Cricket's Facebook Help tab as per their direct post to my comment on their page. I have contacted Consumer Affairs as well. 2ND TICKET #TKT78277

Was on auto bill pay for a year with a family talk plan. My brother and I split our plans and his went through fine. However, mine did not. I cannot sign up for auto bill pay, I cannot pay by phone. I can't even get into the option for paying bills. I went on line and tried to pay, it took the money from my account but it did not got toward my bill, now they are going to shut the phone off. I am handicapped and on oxygen, my phone is my lifeline if it gets cut off. My next step will be to contact an attorney as my life is being placed in danger. Plus I am on a fixed in come and I have been ripped off for the current month payment.

Cricket Wireless defective phone

I have been a Cricket customer for almost 8 years. I have a very basic Kyocera phone. It seems every six months I have to replace this phone.
The latest problem is that I can't get into my voice mail when I press "1", can't punch in a number option when I'm dialing a company to get to the right department, and can't even get into my voice mail options to change my greeting to let people know I can't get into my voice mail and to please call back if I don't pick up.
When I press the numbers nothing happens.
I went to the Cricket store on the Southside of Pittsburgh yesterday to get help and the sales rep there couldn't get it to work either.
I found out a couple of weeks ago these Kyocera phones are being sold to people for TEN DOLLARS and I have been paying FIFTY DOLLARS to replace it on an average of every six months as I mentioned above. The sales rep was very rude and unhelpful. He told me I had to go to downtown Pittsburgh to a location on Smithfield Street to get help. I work during the day and can't take time off work to take care of what I thought would be a simple problem to solve. They sell phones at the Southside location, and even though I'm replacing this piece of crap every 6 months I WAS willing to pay $10 to replace it yesterday.
Excuse me Cricket for being one of the many middle class masses that does not have the funds right now to spend $200 on a new phone full of gadgets I do not need. Its a holiday weekend, I can't pay my bills cause the phone does not work properly, etc. When I call 611 to try to get help that works. (Why would the number options work for that but not to access my voicemail, etc.?)
I have 3 children, I'm a single mom, and I'm trying to do the best I can. I'm not looking for a handout. I just want to have a working phone no fancier than the one I already have. After all these years of being a customer I would think Cricket would work with me on this and come up with a reasonable solution to my problem. Just sayin'..

First I have NEVER, not once been able to speak to anyone over the phone. And you must give out ALL your personal information, SS#-DL#-Bank info-Credit/ Debit info, not just to begin the service but even just to pay a bill. I have been checking and the company has a very high incidence of credit/debit card fraud. It is just NOT worth it.

Cricket Wireless customer service

Getting through to a person at Cricket is next to impossible, it is an aweful experience. Their IVR is hopeless. People need their phones, I paid my bill on 11/03 and have a text msg from them confirming that I did, it shows up on my bank statement as well. I cannot make a call because they claim that I haven't paid the bill.
I'm done with them.

The problem that I am having is; I purchased a phone for my son that is in school in Indiana and I live in Houston, TX. I wanted Cricket to put my son’s phone and my phone number on one account so that I could pay for them both at one time. That was apparently too hard for Cricket to perform the first time. Therefore, I called customer service to fix the problem and they said that I had to call back in a month to cancel the service and then put both phones on one account. I did what Cricket customer service asked me to do. The next month, my son’s phone was turn off because; they said his bill was due on a different date from mind. I told Cricket customer service that was not correct because I called your customer service to have my son’s phone put on my account to pay on the same billing day.
Cricket customer service told me that my son’s phone billing date was different from my billing date and I need to pay a $15.00 reconnection fee for my son’s phone. I asked to speak to a supervisor about the situation. I then waited on hold for about 45 minutes. The supervisor never answered the phone and the Cricket customer service representative told me that I would still have to pay the $15.00 reconnect fee. I told the Cricket customer service representative that I refuse to pay a fee for something that was not my fault. I later called Cricket that day to talk to another Cricket service representative about the situation and then she put me on hold to talk with someone else in customer service to help me. Then the person that answered the phone hanged up the phone on me. Later, someone in customer service blocked my cell phone from calling to talk to a live person in customer service with Cricket. I’ve used Cricket cell phone service for over seven years and there customer service is the worst that that I have ever experience. I guest the best thing for me to do now is switch to T-Mobile like I should have done in the first place.

I purchased a phone from Cricket wireless. After 7 days of waiting for my existing number to be ported from my original carrier, I returned the phone. During the week I spoke to several representatives, a few supposed managers, who were no help at all. This involved a medical emergency where I needed my previous number transferred to the new service so I would be able to receive a call regarding my son needing a kidney transplant. After one week of no resolution, I returned the phone and was refunded in part! They kept $22.48 for activation fee (which we were told was waived at time of purchase), and taxes (on a product I no longer have!)

I would NEVER advise anyone to make a transaction with Cricket.

I am very "UPSET" at Cricket because I have had problems in the past and yet having problems with "CRICKET CUSTOMER SERVICE." I called customer service at 1:10 pm (Memphis Time) and was on the phone until 2:45 pm when I finally talked to a representative. I was very UPSET and MAD constantly listening to the phone ringing and ringing and then it hangs up on its own and continues to do it. And then you know the whole routine once you dial the number again and again.
And I Know that was a "DAM" Shame to have to stay on the line that long to talk to a Representative. Cricket seems like they are not really concern about the customers and it a shame that you can't understand what the representatives are saying because it seems like all of them are "FOREIGNERS"
and can bearly speak ENGLISH. And after all of that waiting the representative did not help me at all. I should have been the customer service representive because I knew more than he did. I feel that they need to get "MORE TRAINING." I hope something is done to better the service and stop treating the customers like you all don't give a "DAM." But you want your money for the service. I will be concetering another service who I hope will present BETTER service.

Cricket Wireless cyber stalking cyber bulling cyber espionage, drive by, invasion of privacy

For the past two years I have been cyber stalked, cyber bullied, receive denial of service, unauthorized access to email accounts, sending spam from my Internet account. Each time I set up and email account on Google cyber bullies have unauthorized access to my Google accounts and sending spam from the Google accounts. Although the Virtual Private Network is disabled in the setting, there are three cyber stalking Virtual Private Networks continues to connect and to have unauthorized access on my broad band service slowing the service to a crawl. Cricket denies that I am being cyber stalked and cyber bullied with a Trojan horse connection, in files the installation files, all firewalls are disabled during installation breaching the security of the device. the device automatically connects to a Trojan horse after installation so that the victim will always download scare ware, viruses, routed to high jacked web sites delivering scam ware, malware, key loggers and continuous drive-by attacks to the computer system. The installation files are malware and spy-ware files allowing backdoor access to the victims computer system When you call and complain to customer service always deny cyber stalking, cyber bulling, and cyber espionage, or hang up the telephone on the customer. I have collected forensics evidence from the system and the cricket directory proving cyber crimes by Cricket broadband services for the past two years. Cricket log file proves cyber crimes.

Cricket told me, that I was going to get a $50 rebate, but when I get on line and go to mycricket.com and go to rebate and check the status on it. They tell me I won't get the rebate. So, I'm just pissed about it. I'm going to get to the bottom of this. I filled out all of my papers that I needed to and sent them off in time, so I don't know what's going on.

Cricket Wireless liars and thieves

I have a Sprint Samsung Epic 4 G so I came to cricket since they claimed my phone would work on their network. I paid $40 to have the phone flashed to cricket. I was told the flash would make the phone fully functional and I would never even notice it had been flashed. When I got my phone back after the flash I was told I had a new text app I needed to use, lie #1. The cricket rep called the cricket store from my phone and checked the internet, it worked. The next day I sat at home all day and my phone never rang. That evening my friend came over to my house and told me she had been calling all day. I saw her phone and she had called me at least 20 times. I tried to call her and the call wouldn't go through. I had to take the battery out and reset my phone. Later that evening while sending a text, I see that my text are not going out. I had to again turn the phone off and reset it. The next day I had to turn my phone off 5 times as service was not working properly. I had already spoke with tech support 3 times at this point. I have never encountered such rude customer service with any company before. The 4th day of service I went to a cricket corporate store. As soon as the rep saw my phone she said that phone doesn't work with our network. She told me my phone was listed as a Kyroceria in their computer. She explained to me calls and texts should work but mms and web are 50/50. She also showed me a copy of a Customer Unlocking and Flashing Agreement which I had not signed or ever seen for that matter. Calls and text are 50/50 for me and 50/50 web & mms on a $60 smartphone plan is unacceptable to me. I can't imagine who that would be acceptable with. Trying to get a supervisor on the phone is a nightmare. The reps refused to transfer me to a supervisor, hung up on me and pretty much told me I'm [censored] out of luck. They offered no apology what so ever. I couldn't even get something as simple as an apology, that's is the definition of terrible customer service. I asked for names and employee numbers and was refused that info by the first two people I spoke with. The third was Rick WTE5509. I seriously doubt his name was Rick as I could hardly understand a word he was saying. Day 5 of cricket service and I have spent more time on the phone and taken the battery out more times than I have with Sprint in 3 years. I'm out $60 for a months service, $40 for "fully functional" flash and $15 service fee. $115 for 5 days of 50/50 service and 7+ hours of dealing with the biggest a**holes I've ever encountered.

Cricket Wireless misconduct & harming kids

An awful & lousy daycare, definately one of the worst in georgia! They have a group of untrained/uncertified daycare providers, that provide poor child supervision, bus pick-ups are often late, and the manager is currently involved in another child sex abuse lawsuit, filed against him by a parent.. My sources say; that within the past 4 years alone, this daycare has been shut down before & sued by multiple parents whose children were sexually abused by cricket's daycare staff, which also hires convicted felons to work for their agency!

Cricket Wireless poor service, false advertising

Thank you, cricket, for making it so darn easy to switch to another internet provider.

I was a loyal cricket customer for three years. I live in st. Louis, missouri, and believe it or not, three years ago high speed internet was not available in south st. Louis, where I live. Even att had dial-up only. Seems that companies here do not want to pay for underground internet/cable set-ups.

Everything was okay at first. I knew that cricket was not broadband or high speed as they claimed. It was dial-up, and I was fine with that. Set up was quick and easy. I was working weird hours and I couldn't stay home to wait for the charter communications tech. Cricket was unlimited. I had no problems with that. The service was reliable enough. I did not experience the problems i'm having now.

All of that changed this year. Cricket still advertises itself as unlimited high speed internet, but i've been told that the $45 plan i'm on is now 3g. If I want to upgrade to 4g I have to pay $65 a month. Talk about robbery without a gun, fellas. I'd feel better if you put on a ski mask and held me at gunpoint.

Apparently this month I exceeded my 3g data limit. I suspect it's not really 3g, probably half that. Cricket has programmed their remote computer to completely drop the link for my telephone number. Whoever programmed this thing has a wicked sense of humor: the signal will drop without warning, many times every other minute. When I re-connect there's no guarantee the connection will be stable. I have to re-connect five or six times. As a matter of fact, the connection has dropped three times while i'm typing this complaint here. Other times the icon will stay green, but there's no signal. Pages take forever to load. Since I use the internet for job hunting and to stay connected with the world, this is totally unacceptable. Make no mistake, folks, that remote computer is only doing what cricket wireless tells it to. I waste a lot of time reconnecting and waiting for pages to load.

I smile each time that happens. The countdown clock is running, fellas. Next month I will no longer need your services. Goodbye cricket, hello charter. 29.00 a month for true high speed internet beats crappy 45 dollars each time. I figure that even if charter goes up after a year, that still beats cricket's lousy service.

Not that losing my business makes that much difference now, cricket, since you still have all those suckers paying for crappy internet and cell phone service, but your day is coming.

And the day I see that your company has gone belly up, I will raise a glass of champagne and toast your certain demise.
