I purchased a Costway remote-controlled evaporative air cooler with a fan and humidifier from Costway.com around September 26, 2025, for$122.99 USD to GIANTEX.INC and Costway.com. The machine I purchased stopped working on 2/12/2026. The machine had a crack on the outside I taped when it was first delivered. I paid extra with the purchase to ensure my product arrived by me intact and working. I believe this extra insurance type fee is illegal in the USA. Costway also asked for tips on the purchase.

The heater on this machine worked fine for about 5 months. I attempted to use the humidifier function recently, but it leaked out. I saw after the leak that the bucket for the water was cracked. I contacted Costway about the water tank bucket. A new water tank bucket went out soon after the call. While waiting for the water tank bucket, the entire machine stopped powering up and working one evening when I plugged the machine in. I received the water tank bucket soon after the machine stopped working.

I contacted Costway. I was told to send a video of the machine that is no longer powering up. I sent a video share link because my email will not send the video in direct video format. Another customer support person asked me to open the machine to see if a piece came loose. This customer support person sent a YouTube link for a repair person opening a machine similar to mine that was neither very long nor clear enough. I replied that I cannot open the Costway machine because I am not a repair person, and I have no tools to do so with. I contacted Costway on 2/12/2026 about the nonworking remote-controlled evaporative air cooler with fan and humidifier. I am waiting on a resolution. I see two warranties that contradict each other on Costway.com
